Pink dog food website and where to buy it
edit: Just read one of the reviews on amazon:
>My dog accidentally ate this when we were visiting a friend and her pup. I'm not sure if my dog is allergic to the artificial color additives, or if it just wasn't good for his system, but he threw it up all over a beige couch. The couch is now STAINED an awful pale pink color because of the dye my friend wants me to pay for a new couch. > This product is absurd and unnecessary.
And Court replied:
>Court Westcott Lauren, I am sorry that your dog was unsupervised and consumed someones else's property. It is usually a good idea to slowly mix in new dog foods when changing brands. Also, this review is done by a nonverified purchase and is therefore absurd and unnecessary.
Before you all jump on the circle jerk that will be these comments. Dogs can as long as it is done right. Too many vegans cook or share their own meals which will get their dog in troubles because dogs need to meet a certain nutrient requirement outlined by regulatory bodies (AAFCO). And unfortunately some people don’t understand what their body needs regardless of if they are vegan or not. Some of those people become vegans and feed their pet with the same lack of knowledge. This get’s them and their pet in trouble.
Dog can function fine if on a dog food that meets AAFCO nutrient requirements. There is even a vegan dog who lived 26 years named Bramble.
My dog’s have been on a vegan diet for 5 years now. They were originally on V-Dog but now they eat Natural balance. I get blood work done every other year. My vet was completely ok as long as the dog food was to meet the nutrient requirements for AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profile. Almost as important as feeding your dog this nutrient profile is exercise, have a fit dog for the fuel to do it’s work. Every visit to the vet I get the comment that “these are the healthiest pugs I have seen.”
Here is the dog food: https://www.amazon.com/Natural-Balance-Vegetarian-Formula-28-Pound/dp/B000634HD2
It’s funny how carnists become so concerned about the well being of an omnivore when they hear it has meat removed from it’s diet, but endlessly fisting, torturing, and slitting their throats, that’s A-O fucking K because “meh tastebuds”.
It’s literally a different kibble. How can anyone in good faith say this is nutritionally worse than a generic dog food with who knows what kind of fillers?
Looked up Sparkle dog on amazon and it actually looks like it has good reviews?
Before you have your dog go vegan/vegetarian check with your vet.
Some dogs, just like some people, will need extra attention after going meat free. Some dogs might also be grain intolerant!
I know natural balance(vet recommended brand) has a vegetarian canned dog food. I've got a chihuahua and she tends to go on hunger strike in the middle of a veg can more than any other variety. Each can usually lasts 4-5 days. Nothing bad happens to her in the short term on the veg food. If anything it's the least hard on her stomach judging from poop quality.
So I mean, you can feed them commercially available dog food that's just as balanced as normal dog food. You might have a dog with grain intolerance which mean these veggie formulas likely won't work out for you, but if you consult with your vet before switching over they can tell you what to look out for.
Edit: Here are some amazon links if you want to read up on this brand or the food.
Taste of the Wild, usually, but my pup is eating Wag kibble right now, and he's doing just fine.
I get it from a local place, though, so it's a few dollars cheaper than Amazon.
I would switch my mom's dog over to that, but the Natural Balance is so much cheaper ($1.66/lb vs $2/lb), and she is quite poor. The ingredients on the V-Dog do seem a bit better though.
I really like the Red Barn Dog Food Roll. You cut it into the size pieces you want, they're soft but not mushy and hold their shape really well. Much more bang for your buck, decent ingredients, and are nice smelly high value treats. My dog is very fickle about taking food, especially outside or in a stressful environment, but this usually does the trick.
Ended up being a chicken allergy for us. We feed our dogs wellness sweet potato and white fish now. It also keeps our dogs silky too. Here is an Amazon link:
Thank you. What about something like this?
It would be okay a couple of times a week. Have you looked into Stella and Chewy's dinner Morsels? They are a pretty healthy treat considering that they can be fed as a food for ferrets.
Stella & Chewy's Freeze-Dried Raw Cat Dinner Morsels https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GZ3SHBO/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_PRD93Z9K5WBCBPM5DRAR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Like these have three different protein sources! Just break it in half for a nice treat!
I haven't personally found a specific food line for my cat (who will not eat the same food more than twice in a row...), but she really loves these food toppers, which contain pumpkin and fiber and probiotics. She had problems with constipation previously and a generally temperamental digestive system, and she's been really regular since adding that. I also started adding water to her wet food around the same time, per my vet's advice.

New link. Also, I like to put the big bottle of salmon oil in the fridge to keep it fresh. Then I have a small travel sized squeeze bottle I put a small bit of the oil in. That way I don't have to throw out the giant container of oil before my tiny ferrets finish it.
Though you also want to make sure you don't feed more than 1 tsp of salmon oil a week. So 2-4 drops is pretty good on a daily basis.
For treats have you tried the Stella and Chewy's duck duck goose.
You can actually feed them as a meal, but they work great as treats as well.
Direct sun is good, as long as there’s places to hide from it. RES like to sunbath. About their dock you need a basking light and a UVB bulb, like this: https://www.amazon.com/Zoo-Med-Aquatic-Turtle-Lighting/dp/B00CYDEARU
I just get most stuff from Amazon, but compare prices with local sources. You could get a dock like this: https://www.amazon.com/Large-Floating-Turtle-Dock-Attached/dp/B09471715T
Strawberries are nontoxic to cats, and I have seen my kitty try to eat grass. They also make cat treats with pumpkin and strawberries to help their digestion. I add some of this to my cat's food every day. Of course she mostly eats meat.
Idk if you’re open to a different dog food but I was having problems with my baby’s fur so I changed her over to Diamond naturals Dog Food it helped tremendously with her coat. And since she passed I now give it to my new puppy and her fur is always very soft and looks great!
Shoot this one is actually 35 now. I think it was more like 30 when I got it. But anyways I got it more than a year ago and it works great! (I use one uvb10.0 bulb and a full spectrum heat lamp bulb. It's like 10 bucks for both on amazon and I replace them once every 6 month) also you can only use one bulb you don't need both. https://www.amazon.com/Zoo-Med-Aquatic-Turtle-Lighting/dp/B00CYDEARU
So Wysong by itself can make poos be runny, you should mix it with another food. Her is a food chart you can use to find another to mix it with. As for treats anything that is just freeze dried meat, with no real added ingredients. Like Stella & Chewies Dinner Morsels, I use it as a food by itself honestly. I just mix it with the Tummy Tickling Turkey, and the Rabbit one. Hope this helps!
You can get them on Amazon pretty quick.

This is the healthiest thing that your ferret can eat besides a raw diet. Slowly switch over to it. The turkey, chicken, and rabbit are great too. Ferrets need multiple protien sources for healthy living. So I feed mainly the one duck duck goose one, as it has duck, goose, and turkey as a protien source. A single ferret will eat 4-6 chunks for one meal and will have 2-4 meals a day. You can put two meals in a bowl. Just shred with your fingers, it's super easy. Then add some water till it's moist to soupy. Then just keep a bowl out of the dry chunks as well. Make sure they have a clean bowl of water out at all times, because if they eat the dried chunks, they will need more than a water bottle for hydration. Enjoy the new healthy ferret!
The stella and chewy are way better than the wysong freeze dried. Try the chicken, and I recommend the one above. It has multiple protien sources, you can even just feed them that. Though it is expensive. I'm trying to switch my ferrets to just these.
That food is bad, it’s very high to potatoes, peas and salmon which are all bad for ferrets :-(
Can you get Stella and Chewy’s: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GZ3SHBO/ ?
Or any of these?
Your mix should be 50% one of these two: - Wysong Digestive Support - Dr. Elsey’s Clean Protein And 50% one of these: - Orijen Regional Red Cat Food - Orijen Cat & Kitten Food - Ziwipeak Air Dried - SquarePet Turkey & Chicken - Natures Variety Instinct Ultimate Protein
The final version only has random pink bits in a brown food because of that. She sold it on Amazon for a while and you can see photos of it https://www.amazon.com/SPARKLEDOG-all-natural-ingredient-wholesome-vegetables/dp/B072M3B2W3/ref=sr_1_1?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1502205724&sr=1-1&keywords=dog+food
I recommend the Zoo Med Dual fixture.

Thats good! They sleep in 2-4 hour increments and get up to eat/poop and play. They never play 4 hours straight so its best to split up playtime!
They take about a week to adjust to your schedule so be patient and ignore them if they beg and whine at night giving in makes them think they can get their way with you.
This is an amazing freeze dried raw food that a lot of people use its a little pricey though. You REALLY have to watch cat foods they say made with “raw” but reading further some say raw veggies so really pay attention to ingredients!
I think natural balance is on the cheaper side for dog foods, I've used it and had no issues. Subscribing on Amazon also gets 15% off.

Evolution is a bit pricier but they have a small sale on it if you call in to order on the first Wednesday of the month.
Got a new dog in a similar situation to you as last year and had many of the same questions. Here's my thoughts:
