I love his art style—if you guys are interested, check out The Metabarons comic book series written by Alejandro Jordorowsky illustrated by Giminez. It’s like Dune mixed with Star Wars and LSD. One of my favorites that I can not recommend enough to comic book lovers
Edit: here’s the amazon link to the complete saga. I want to reiterate that the art to this series is something to behold in your hands.

Sounds like Monstress to me.
Edit: The preview on Amazon has the first few pages, which include the auction and the woman entering.
Amazon lists a "Volume 1" coming out in November.
I found a paperback version on Amazon for preorder, it says it's not coming out until November.
They did create (sanctioned) this: https://www.amazon.com/Jericho-Season-3-Robert-Levine/dp/160010939X/ref=nodl_ to wrap up the story.
If I remember correctly it did a pretty good job, might be time for a rewatch/read.

There's some good recommendations on this thread but most of them are not sci-fi at all, if you really want to check sci-fi you can't go wrong with The Metabarons by Jodorowski and Jimenez, crazy millenia spawning story across the universe, think of Dune meets The Borgias, you won't find any better sci-fi art
I think this is the complete comic with Talanah n Aloy

This one 👆, does it include the original story and if I wanna get into the full universe can you guide me into which other volumes I need to get?
The Incal is a really good comic book. The story is written by Alejandro Jodorowsky, and illustrated by Moebius. The hard cover is great.

Just found two used copies on Amazon? Not sure if this helps https://www.amazon.co.uk/East-West-Apocalypse-Year-One/dp/1632154307/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=east+of+west+the+apocalypse+year+one&qid=1615622779&sprefix=east+of+wedt&sr=8-1
Just going to second what another individual said:
"IMO the standard HC is more than fine. No book is worth the prices people are asking for it right now"

Remember, Ever book you buy is taking away from other books. If you spend 3x as much as you needed on one single book, that's other books your cutting into - all for just a slipcase, or a slightly larger format. Not worth it.
MY MAN!!
You can get the first volume for like $12 on Amazon (company that never did anything wrong)
If anyone wants to see a great sci fi epic told through the eyes of a servant / helper droid check out Metabarons.
Yea, very much dune. LOL All of Hickman's work is veeeeery inspired by dune and Neil Stephenson's. Cycles series some might say too much :) https://www.amazon.com/East-West-Apocalypse-Year-One/dp/1632154307
$25 used is a steal for this much awesome
Oh my I really need this now. But spent my budget on pre-order of Saga and Monstress graphic novels. Are you at all into graphic novels? Cause these are both great!
There is also B**** Planet which is a love letter to feminism
