For those of you who enjoy sheet masks (especially the extremely slippy hydrogel masks), you really should consider getting a silicone mask cover for them. Essentially it's a thin, stretchy silicone mask you put over the sheet mask, with ear loops to secure it, so it'll hold the mask on your face securely. (And it'll make you look even creepier, much like Odo from DS9.) This allows you to actually be able to get up and do stuff for the 20-30 minutes you're wearing the sheet mask, instead of having to lay down and hold still the whole time. Yesterday, I folded and hung up laundry, and then put new sheets on the guest bed, and had no problem with the mask staying on. You can just wash them with soap and water between.
I got this one from Amazon, which was only $5 - totally reasonable!
ETA: Also, for those of you who are interested in/enjoy sheet masks, don't buy them at Sephora! The markup is outrageous. For instance, the Tony Moly I'm Real masks sell 2 for $7.50 at Sephora (or $3.75 apiece), whereas on Amazon you can get them 10 for $11 (or $1.10 apiece). That's a 340% markup at Sephora! (If you're worried about legitimate sellers and not getting fakes from Amazon, two tips: First, if it's eligible for Amazon Prime, Amazon itself has almost definitely ensured the seller is legit. You can also go to r/asianbeauty for a list of legit sellers.)
I love sheet masks, but two uses is honestly the most inconvenient thing because the packaging is not super easy to work with and how else are you going to store it in the serum. Also, people in Asia have been using these reusable silicone masks with ear hooks to soak in serums for ages (which is probably more effective than lace because they prevent moisture loss).
They are also on Amazon for $12.95, pretty good deal if you got prime 🤗
So, I’be never actually used one of these. But the concept is just that it stops evaporation of Hydrating products. I just wanted to let you know you can get one for wayyy cheaper (like this one on amazon)
Try using a daiso silicone mask over top, it might help keep your glasses dry & your sheet mask in place.
I love mine! Gives me more freedom to move about and keeps the mask moist for longer
Is this an ad?
You quoted the exact prices that GoodRx ads have.
Also, adapalene isn’t tretinoin. Adapalene is usually something your insurance wants you to try is tread of tret because it’s cheaper. I think the prices you’re quoting for adapalene are what I used to pay for tret- actually $268 seems a little high, even for tretinoin!
And Amazon seems to be selling name brand Differin for $12.88. I think I bought name brand Differin at RiteAid for about $43 a few weeks ago. Why is the pharmacy charging that much for generic adapalene?
I don’t mean to be super critical or anything, but this all seems weird to me. : /
Edit- I fucked up, guys. This is a real person who was genuinely excited to share something that helped them, and I was suspicious and critical and hurt their feelings. They were being happy and helpful, and I was a jerk about it. I’m really sorry for about it, but don’t downvote them. They felt attacked and responded. I get it.
if you’re looking for cheap korean sheet masks these ones from amazon are great! i’ve been using them for a year and i love them i use them at least 2-3 times a week so these are a great value!

I could be interested in some of the masks, but honestly I can buy most of them at retail cheaper. Dermal masks are 16 for $10.25 on Amazon and that was just the first hit, not even me shopping around. Similar prices for The Saem masks. Free shipping there too. Please let me know if the prices come down, and thanks!
I love my silicon mask I got off Amazon . I’m currently sitting in bed with a super thick layer of hydrating serum on with the mask on top.
I’m trying to speed up my PIE healing from a bad breakout but I’d recommend it for any healing. It acts like an occlusive but so much less messy.
When I’m feeling extra ‘Treat Yo Self’ I use it over a Seoulista Hydrating sheet mask cos they are unreal.
I had the battery problem. I purchased this battery pack and charger from Amazon and love it. I recently went to an aquarium with my family and took lots of pictures. Oh, my battery died, no problem, let me swap in my new one. Or when I'm at home, and realize I didn't charge my battery, oh let me swap in the other one.
Found these Dermal collagen masks recommended in one of the HG sheet mask threads and decided to take the plunge and order them off of Amazon. $11 for 16 masks and free Prime shipping~
I finally found some time to try my first one today so no reviews yet but I loved my little color wheel so I had to share. :)
Amazon, The good brand is Anker. They sell a dual pack w/ a charger for 33$ and a single battery w/o charger for 20$. 18mo warranty. https://www.amazon.com/Anker-3220mAh-Replacement-Batteries-Samsung/dp/B00Q4NQQA0/

What's your budget cap?
Sheet masks are super popular right now and affordable. If you want to spend more or less, look for other highly-rated sets by searching "sheet masks" on Amazon. They come in all sorts of cute packaging and sets. I personally like this one, but I haven't tried the most popular one linked above.
I really like "Aztec Secret - Indian Deep Pore Cleansing Healing Clay" - I bought it after hearing great things about it from several people and then it had great reviews. It does leave my skin feeling really clean afterwards! It's fairly priced too (IMO) for how much you get.
If anyone is looking for a similar product (but not in a sheet), this one from Amazon is really fun!
Pureology Hydrate Sheer (for fine hair) keeps natural oils in my hair while keeping my scalp happy. I only use a little bit of leave-in. Before finding this shampoo/conditioner I had to use multiple products to make my hair look the same.

Dermal face masks found on Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0722LVW3B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Laneige lip mask makes my lips so smooth.

Juice Beauty tinted spf is a physical sunscreen that is tinted to not leave a white residue. It is very gentle on my skin and evens out my tone (I don't want any more coverage than that).
Another fun face mask for Dave to try are the Carbonated bubble Clay Mask (link to Canadian Amazon). You put them on then they poof up with bubbles making you look very crazy.
Haha I was an international student with a huge debt so I would think twice even for a $20 product. These masks are very hydrating and refreshing, this is exactly what I needed after long sleepless nights spent doing project !
I wonder if you might benefit from something like these? I haven't tried one yet but my pharmacist was wearing one and said it worked pretty well to keep it off her face.
Edit: nevermind, I see someone already suggested this to you, haha
I just checked Amazon and there in stock for the 2 pack.
Here is the link for the Anker Batteries
Hopefully they restock soon. :(
Jolse's in Korea though, shipping might take longer although the products are generally cheaper for not people not based in the US (a lot of kbeauty stores in Australia mark up the prices so much T_T). Oh and I recommend putting it on before she goes shower, washing it off is mess if she does it at the sink.
Hey there! I'm sorry you're going through a bad time, hopefully these reccomendations can help even a little! I think a sheet mask would be a great thing to try. There are these ones: Dermal Korea facial masks https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BAM7F8C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_B5TxAbTRMZ30Z They are hydrating and have these little flaps that you can flip over your closed eyes that would allow essence to be soaked in. Also they're just a pampering experience, you get to lay down and relax while your face soaks in things that are good for it. There are a ton of other sheet mask options on Amazon prime too! If you have any ingredient sensitivities then be sure to check that before you order! I also just reccomend a cool compress over your eyes. It helps the redness and inflammation go do a little then you can follow up with a sheet mask or a lighter toner/essence that sinks into your skin well. Just be careful of your eyes! Good luck!
I got a 24 pack of Korean collagen face masks on Amazon. Very similar to the Garnier mask, makes my skin feel soft and smooth, and it was less than $14. I highly recommend them as a good priced substitute. The royal jelly one sounds weird, but it is my absolute favorite. Smells like honey. Oh and the wine was... odd. I didn't see the scent when I opened it, and I thought I had drank too much the night before and was sweating alcohol or something, it was very disconcerting until I read the package.
I’ve been downvotes for this before but I really enjoy Sephora brand sheet masks. They’re constantly running a promo if you add 4 to your cart one is free so they’re only $4.50 each. I love the algae one the most. Green tea and rose are also nice.
I also bought this pack from amazon and really liked them Dermal Korea Collagen Essence Full Face Facial Mask Sheet, 16 Combo Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BAM7F8C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_bRG1CbN3MS6HM
May I make a recommendation? For a lip mask, I really liked the Aritaum Ginger Sugar Overnight Lip Mask. I've been using it since February and it really does stay on overnight and then some. It's sticky, but it doesn't dissipate overnight and it's actually pretty difficult to get off of your lips lol. A little goes a long way. The price is pretty good too. Here's an amazon link to it.
I can’t cope with the mess of this so I use a silicone face mask as my occlusive layer. Silicone mask It’s great for basically turning any skin care product into a sheet mask. Highly recommend for healing PIE or just generally super hydrating my skin.
Try using a mask bracket. I got some at the very beginning, and don't wear anything without one. They help the "breathing" of the mask, help keep the fit tight, and you can wear them with any mask. (That's an amazon link, but you can get them almost anywhere)
Well the stuff I am familiar I thought has the brand name Indian Earth. But we are both right lol. It’s actually Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay. Oops. Indian Earth is clay makeup - bronzer.
Aztec Secret – Indian Healing Clay 1 lb – Deep Pore Cleansing Facial & Body Mask – The Original 100% Natural Calcium Bentonite Clay – New Version 2 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00S7ZPB8Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_4S4EWMHPYHXTYJAN6PKM
Here is the link to the Amazon page in the US
I use this one I got from Amazon. I found that when I don't put the ear strap around my entire ear it doesn't hurt.
Mine does it on Lollipop too. But only when my battery is below 45%. Going to get Anker battery this week from Amazon.
Since you've sheet masked before have you heard of the Daiso Silicone mask? It's popular to keep masks wet longer and should work at keeping the Vaseline on, though since it's silicone I don't know if lack of skin breathing would be a problem. The link for Amazon is more than it costs in store, so I'd check to see of a Daiso store is near because they'll be $1.50. Depending on how it fits you it may feel a little tight with the ear loops but can be remedied (from what I've read) by just tying hair ties or elastics to make it stretch further from your ears.
Since you live in the US, you can probably find the Hada Labo Tokyo line online in Walgreen's, Target, or eBay - it's just the US packaging of the Japanese brand, Hada Labo, and I see a lot of comments that recommend you getting their cleanser :) For Hada Labo Tokyo, it's called their Hydrating Facial Cleanser, and yeah, it's probably the best foaming cleanser I've tried that's also low pH and super affordable (I think it's like a little less than $7 on eBay, sold by Target). I'd also highly recommend getting a thin, hydrating layer before you seal it in with a moisturizer, a lot of people like the Hada Labo Gokujyun Lotion (US equivalent appears to be the Hada Labo Tokyo Replenishing Hydrator) or the Kikumasamune Sake Skin Lotion High Moisture. As for sheet masks, there's this listing on Amazon!
I just ordered these on amazon, they haven't arrived yet but you get 16 different masks for $9 and they have alright reviews, I'm excited to try
not a chapstick exactly and you might have to order it online, but the Aritaum Ginger Sugar lip mask is really nice. I usually use a sugar/scrub of some kind (you can make your own or lots of brands have them, lots of people like Lush and the ELF lip exfoliators are really cheap and work well, too). then I throw some of this mask on and wake up to soft, non-chapped lips. for day to day balms, I use glossier balm dot com or Epically Epic lip balms (she uses vegan ingredients and has so many nice "flavours" and scents! I love the balms, they are so moisturizing and fun).
I think I bought my lip mask from roseroseshop's eBay and it was cheaper than Amazon.
I'm not really sure. I get these off of Amazon
Hi sorry I posted this right before I went to bed! I got this one from amazon, it’s a little tight on my ears but you get used to it.
of course, canadian winters are a curse on all of us lol, we need to stick together. Sadly, its not available at Shoppers or anywhere I've found in store. Amazon sells it for $7-11 CDN though, and it comes quickly though
In the meantime, you could try bag balm, vaseline or other occlusives. It usually says something like 'healing ointment' if its a similar product.

happy 52 days until halloween!! i'd love this bubble mask on my beauty WL for halloween. everyone who uses it looks so funny in the reviews, and it'd be great for my skin as well :)
my favorite halloween costume was this shiny green puffy dragon suit i had when i was much younger! i can't find any pictures of it, but i would wear it daily LOL! i don't think i'd loved any halloween costume more.
why are skeletons so lazy? they keep saying they'll do it tomarrow. it's so (candy) corny i'm cringing.
I’m so sorry your day didn’t turn out as planned. I hope this evening and tomorrow are better.
You should try this mud mask. I have it and I love it.
Thanks for the contest!
Use a clay mask first. After rinsing off the mask immediately put on the pore strip. Works EVERY time. I use Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay. I prefer to mix it with ACV but you can use water too.
https://www.amazon.com/Aztec-Secret-Cleansing-Original-Bentonite/dp/B00S7ZPB8Q#
First off, I’d lay off of the non-acne treating products you use until you get the acne under control.
Secondly, I really like this stuff:
https://www.amazon.com/Aztec-Secret-Cleansing-Original-Bentonite/dp/B00S7ZPB8Q
It’s pretty cheap and you can get it at Wal-Mart or just about any drugstore. Mix a small amount with water or preferably apple cider vinegar, and apply it as a face mask for about 10-20 minutes once or twice a week.
Daily after cleansing your face, use a witch hazel astringent/toner. Dickinson’s is decent and cheap (good products aren’t always expensive). If you have dry or sensitive skin, don’t use it as it can be drying or irritating, but I’m pretty sure that isn’t a problem for you.
Use a benzoyl peroxide ointment/cream on the acne itself, and use a light moisturizer on the parts of your face that may need it at nighttime. You don’t want to be sweating and having the moisturizers migrate to the problem areas.
When you get the acne mostly gone, gradually add the other products back in and pay attention that you don’t start to break out again when you use them. There’s no “one size fits all” routine and you may not need some of the products you’ve bought, so don’t let sunk-cost fallacy make you think you need to use them to get your money’s worth if it just causes problems. Give them away to someone who could use them if they aren’t good for you.
Oh, and if you haven’t, consider seeing a dermatologist who specializes in acne treatment.
I LOVE this ginger sugar overnight lip mask. It has been the only thing to work on my severely dry lips. Aritaum Ginger Sugar Overnight Lip Mask, 0.3 Ounce https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O76F274/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_N475S516V6AQCHZ2Q4NN?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
For me the key is to ensure there’s nothing to pick, which of course is difficult because for them to heal you have to leave them alone. this stuff makes it a lot easier for me as it helps them heal quickly overnight. If money is tight, pure glycerin from the drug store would also help a lot.
Here’s the mask bracket - https://www.amazon.com/Mask-Bracket-Oceantree-Accessories-Large-Adult/dp/B08CK6W57M
The mask is just a cloth one from Old Navy with adjustable ear loops. They have tons and they’re all washable, I’m still using the ones I got in spring 2020. The brackets should work with surgical masks too, I just can’t really use them. They fog up my glasses like crazy and are usually too big for my face.
I’m currently also using vaseline on the lips. The only product that performs better for me is https://www.amazon.com/Aritaum-Ginger-Sugar-Overnight-Ounce/dp/B00O76F274 . I highly recommend it. The tub lasts for about a year.
I noticed your mask was moving in and out as you were breathing. I used to hate when that happened to me because it made it hard to talk and breathe in. These changed my life- 3D Mask Bracket - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CK6W57M
Or from 4ocean these have clips and are made from ocean plastic debris: https://www.4ocean.com/pages/face-mask-support-frames
Hope it helps!
Im sad all my work friends have moved to different places. Now I’m eating lunch alone in my office! 💔😐
To Beat the Blues I’ll treat myself to a nice mask after work! spa face mask
Highly recommend these they’re great
u/bonorsbollege how do you beat the blues?
Not OP and I may be lagging with the latest/greatest, but cerave pm for moisturizing and differin adapalene for a retinoid were well regarded and reasonably priced when I had looked into it in the past.
https://www.amazon.com/Differin-Adapalene-0-1-Acne-Treatment/dp/B07L1PHSY9
I mean I got mine from the pharmacy so I’m not too sure what’s legit or not. But that’s what it should like like as a gel form. There’s also a cream form slightly different bottle. Also I would suggest using nizerol anti dandruff shampoo as a mask. For 30 mins. That should also help
Ooh I was stopped for about 30 minutes at San Jose airport (travelling back to Mexico where I'm from) because while going through the checkpoint they saw 3 big jars of this face mask powder that I was taking home (the wife bought them an I received them while in the US).
They even called for the bombing expert, because apparently the powder tested positive for some ingredient that explosives have. Needless to say it was a crazy time.
I have these same things on the sides of my lips, and was very surprised when it turned out my diabetes was the cause, instead of it being more of a "skin" thing. But I use this lip mask, just put on your lips or the corners of your mouth overnight, it basically gets rid of it for a few days at a time! :)
I use the Athleta ones, they’re much more breathable than others. But putting a mask bracket underneath will also help.
I got mask brackets 3D Mask Bracket - Oceantree Protect Lipstick Lips - Internal Support Holder Frame Nose Breathing smoothly - DIY Face Mask Accessories(5Pcs) (Large-Adult) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CK6W57M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_niy4FbHEZ0CPT and it has made it so much easier. I use the Costco 32 cool masks but you can use any mask with them! They are the BEST!!
Is this the one?
Acne Treatment Differin Gel, Acne Spot Treatment for Face with Adapalene, 15g, 30 Day Supply, 0.5 Ounce https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L1PHSY9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_HxPZFbMGXD36H
They make mask brackets that help you breathe underneath the mask. It’s a life saver, especially for those of us with breathing issues. This way you aren’t sucking your mask back into your mouth whilst trying to take a deep breath. Apparently some of these anti-maskers have never had to adapt to anything uncomfortable in their lives. Quite sad but it’s the reality of selfishness we live in.
3D Mask Bracket - Oceantree... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CK6W57M?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
4 months postpartum and I'm finally getting my pregnancy acne under control thanks to hydrocolloid bandaids. My routine is daily PanOxyl wash and masks for moisturizing every couple days with copious use of hydrocolloid bandaids in between.
I have what I think is a stubborn closed comedone (pretty big one, no inflammation, on jawline and has been there for months). Sounds like chemical exfoliation is the way to go to get rid of it but does anyone have any product reccs? I was thinking maybe a salicylic acid spot treatment but what do you think?
Someone's I think it is, but then I pause and make my breathing more deliberate. It can be hard to discern whether I'm just feeling like it is it whether or actually is.
A few weeks ago I picked up a few of these (not these exact ones) and they at least keep my mask away from my face, which has helped.
The dermal korean face masks from Amazon are my favorite, they're around $10 for 16 of them and are incredibly moisturizing.
It’s reusable, I just got it off amazon -
Daiso Japan Reusable Silicon Mask Cover for Sheet Prevent Evaporation, Colors May Vary https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JIN8BTW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_k6ByCb12W26BH
You will look hilarious / terrifying, but it works pretty well.
Test is great for skin! Get a bunch of those face-masks from amazon:
Use 2-3 times a week and your skin will feel like a baby's ass.
A lot of people on /r/SkincareAddiction recommend Laneige sleeping mask for lips, which didn't do the trick for me, but is excellent for most. I recently stumbled on this stuff on Amazon and grabbed it and I love it. It will still be on your lips in the morning and it tastes like citrus. My perpetually chapped lips are smooth now.
I totally recommend the DERMAL 24 Combo Pack Collagen Essence Full Face Facial Mask Sheet. It’s absolutely amazing and so, so, so cheap. It’s great for sensitive skin and has collagen, which is something so important for our skin to make it bouncy and help fight against wrinkles, plus it’s super moisturizing!
Also it’s only $16 bucks for an entire 24 face sheet mask pack on amazon!: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0722LVW3B/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Z83BCbWSGMW10
I also recommend trying the one week, sheet mask challenge. Wearing one sheet mask daily. I’ve actually did a one month sheet mask challenge and my skin could never look better. I loved it lmao.
Dermal Korea Collagen Essence sheet masks from Amazon. You get 16 masks for 11 dollars and they are just lovely. Some of the masks have brightening properties as well. They are an HG item for me. I have three friends hooked on them. They smell very nice (mild fragrance), there are multiple "flavors" in the pack, and are lots of fun to use. They're also non-comedogenic and very moisturizing. I've noticed great results with them.
Hmm idk what that is? But my bad it’s called Aztec Secret here’s an amazon link, Target has it too
https://www.amazon.com/Aztec-Secret-Cleansing-Original-Bentonite/dp/B00S7ZPB8Q
Lol it must be what you said cuz the “bentonite” is in the link, that’s cool I’ve never heard of it before!
DO IT!! Skin care is for all genders! Plus, you can get super cheap ones from Amazon. I got this set & still haven't used them all:
DERMAL 24 Combo Pack Collagen Essence Full Face Facial Mask Sheet - The Ultimate Supreme Collection for Every Skin Condition Day to Day Skin Concerns. Nature made Freshly packed Korean Face Mask https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0722LVW3B/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_4q3JDbQ0TCX2A
It's no problem! I use dermal sheet masks, I believe they're a Korean brand. I linked to a US amazon link just so you can see what it looks like. I feel like you'd be able to find them still, plus they are really cheap.
Also, in case you want to check out the 'toner' I use this is it. It's marketed as a toner but I honestly feel like it moisturizing enough to use without another moisturizer on top unless you're very dehydrated (which is why i like the squalane on top at night).

So I have a couple follow up questions :) Do you use this product for the retinoid? https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L1PHSY9/ref=crt_ewc_title_dp_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
If so, do you just spot it on certain spots, or run it in like a cream all over? I notice Differin also has a dark spot product, do you have any knowledge on that?
For hydrating toners, do you know anything about Paulas choice? I was considering going that route.
Thank you for your advice and help!
This is the over the counter version of the cream my derma gave for acne:
He also has me use only Cetaphil products (soap/moisturizer). It has helped tremendously. I also take Spironolactone.
I'm aware some people wear a little plastic structure under their masks. I think it's mostly to protect their lippy but perhaps something to stop the material being flat against your mouth/nose would make it more breathable?
Here's an example https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mask-Bracket-Oceantree-Accessories-Large-Adult/dp/B08CK6W57M
I have to use the disposable ones since they're the most breathable and thin while still being safe. I do use a mask bracket during work since I sweat a ton and I sometimes sweat through my mask.
I've used the cosrx snail mucin and I thought it was just ok, I definitely think Hada Labo worked better for my skin. When I first started working on hydration I also used the Hada Labo plumping gel or perfect gel, and squalane over that; occasionally I did the Hada Labo sheet masks with a silicone mask cover I got at my local Daiso store: https://smile.amazon.com/Daiso-Reusable-Silicon-Prevent-Evaporation/dp/B00JIN8BTW/
One thing that didn't work for me was the Hada Labo Premium lotion - something about it made me break out, I was so sad!
I think with the squalane I didn't really need an occlusive, but when I did I used CeraVe healing ointment. Something about aquaphor clogs my pores. Mostly I use the healing ointment now as lip balm, because almost everything else gives me more blackheads around my mouth.
I used a lot of the tips from this site, and just tried to layer all the natural moisturizing factors I could: https://simpleskincarescience.com/dehydrated-skin-moisture-barrier-acne-fix/
I just got Vanicream's new Daily Facial Moisturizer, and so far haven't broken out over the last couple of days. It's really nice! It's light, but has hyaluronic acid, squalane, and ceramides. I think it leaves a slightly shiny finish but I'm planning on using this in the daytime and the Eucerin Urea Repair at night, or vice versa.
I really like most Cerave products, but I will ONLY use the Acne.org cleanser. Out of all the cleansers I've tried, that's the only one that makes my acne better instead of worse. For reference, here's my routine:
Morning: wash face with water, apply cerave moisturizer, and cerave sunscreen if leaving the house. Apply cerave vitamin C serum and L'Oreal revitalift eye cream both under eyes (i suffer from dark circles).
Night time: Acne.Org cleanser. Stridex pads, green box with aloe. Acne.org Benzoyl peroxide (the ONLY benzoyl peroxide cream I'd EVER use). Olay Regenerist Retinol 24 (this iss gentle and calming, yet effective on my acne). I then apply cerave vitamin c serum under eyes again.
Additional: i use Acne.org's AHA treatment once or twice a week. Also, I use either Aztec secret Indian healing clay, Loreal pure clay (the dark one) or this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BAM7F8C/ref=cm_sw_r_apa_i_EMskFbNER51V4
Once or twice a week.
I know that's all a lot, and it's not cheap. But the really important ones in my opinion are the Cerave moisturizer, the acne.org cleanser, and the olay retinol. Also For you the acne.org benzoyl peroxide may be indispensable. The main takeaways i want to give you are: avoid any cleanser besides the acne.org, and switch to a gentle retinoid.
I feel for you, and I really hope you get better. <3
The hydrocolloid won’t work if they’re not popped. Basically your skin is too good at its job! The reason they drain blisters is that a blister is a fluid pocket under only a thin layer of skin. Spots tend to have the fluid deeper down. Plus the hydrocolloid won’t really absorb pus. It’s only good for the lymph swelling.
My routine: cleanse and then squeeze using my knuckles- easier to avoid squeezing too near the spot. Once I’m happy I’ve gotten most of the pus out I dab with salicylic, wait for it to dry and then put my little cut up square of Compeed blister patch- I find the ones aimed at spots don’t have much power. The next morning I sometimes find more pus has been drawn to the surface so I go again.
If I have a couple of spots to heal I load up my face with hydrating products- hyaluronic acid, Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium etc- and put on my silicone mask for a few hours or overnight. This really helps heal the redness.

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that Automod has removed your comment because it contains an Amazon referral link, which we don't allow in the sub.
Could you please edit the URL so that everything from (and including) "tag=" is removed? That way, the product page will still be visible - but no one can make a profit from the link. Here's the tag free link for an easy copy & paste: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L1PHSY9/
If you've done that, please reply to this message so I can approve your comment :)

Are there any good?
By washing too much I mean it sounds like you wet your face multiple times in one session but I don't think you need to do it that many times. You could also get away with just washing at night.
Yes, I recommended the cream since you might need something stronger given how much you wash.
I looked at the alba product and imo, it's not good. It's got a bit of alcohol and essential oils and plant extracts which is a very irritating combination. The salicylic acid won't do much good if you're adding a bunch of irritants with it. If you're open to online shopping, the Paula's Choice Salicylic acid 2% is much better - very gentle product and you get a decent amount for the price per oz.
Vitamin A and some of its derivatives are excellent for acne, such as retinol (which is ok) and differin (drug name adapalene, which is better). Both are over the counter. You can find differin at Walmart, CVS, amazon, etc. If I had to pick between the two for acne, I would choose differin. It's also what is prescribed for acne treatment by doctors, albeit at higher strengths. Here's a link to it on amazon.
If you look up differin and dr dray on youtube, you'll find some very helpful videos on how to use it by a dermatologist. She also has some other great videos on how to deal with acne if you do a search on acne and her name and I highly recommend her content.
Korean facial masks on Amazon. I don't have a skin care routine and it's finally catching up to me in my 40's so I bought some cheap facial masks at Target and they're great. Amazon sells a variety pack of 24 for $14. I'm going to use them 2X a week.
I honestly am a big believer in face masks. I was suffering from dry skin and acne after moving, and they've helped me a lot. They don't have to be expensive either. I got a pack of 16 for $11 from Amazon.
After cleansing, just put one on for 15-20 minutes before bed. The directions say to put on toner beforehand, but they're referring to Korean "toner," not cleansing toner, so you can skip that part if you don't have it. After I'm done, I like to rub the mask with the leftover liquid on my lip area, neck, and elbows. You don't gotta, but... Just a suggestion. Oh yeah, and don't wash it off. You can put on moisturizer after you're done with the mask if you want. I don't.
I saw a major difference in my skin after a week of using them every other day. If not this, I hope you find something else that works for you. Good luck.
The kind I use -
Dermal Korea Collagen Essence Full Face Facial Mask Sheet, 16 Combo Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BAM7F8C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_qA5gDbWCFS3FT
PS: Always do a spot test on your face first as with any new skincare product just in case <3
There are these silicone face sheets that you could try using. I don't think any kind of money will give you a formulation that'll not remove from your skin against fabric.
I use Dermal Korea for my "daily" masks. They were EXTREMELY well reviewed and you won't beat the price. My only complaint for them, since ordering for myself is that they are little small, but I have a large face (yay me ). But I get 16 of them for 10.99 on Amazon. They're even cheaper if you buy more. That comes out to 68 cents a peice. Now, I do have other masks that I use on occasion but these are the ones that I use and not worry about breaking the bank and I really like them a lot. They are soooo saturated in essence too! Just dripping in it! I bathe in it! Lol. Dermal Korea Collagen Essence Full Face Facial Mask Sheet, 16 Combo Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BAM7F8C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_cBTaDbN4V4YFP
Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask.
I got this one: https://www.amazon.com/Elizavecca-Milky-Piggy-Carbonated-Bubble/dp/B00MWI2IS0
It’s the only bubble mask I’ve ever used so I can’t really companies to another bubble mask. I did have to look at the directions on amazon because the packaging is all in Korean. My face feels super smooth now
These masks; I do one a week and they make my skin feel super nice. I'm not sure if they actually do much but they make me feel like I'm pampering myself.
I also love Cliniques take the day away cleansing balm right now, it really clears out my pores.
okay I just bought this lip mask from Amazon, and my lips went from super textured and flaky to smooth and pump in 2 days. I'm pretty sure it's magic. My lips have NEVER been like this.
I'm a nibbler. I've been wearing the ginger sugar lip mask when I feel I'm likely to nervous chew, and it's thick enough to keep me in check. It also doesn't budge if I leave it alone, and works well with a bit of lip stick/liner as a tinted balm. (It's also pretty good at helping me avoid peelies when I use it for the intended purpose, especially if I remember to wait until after I hydrate/moisturize so it can really lock that stuff in)
Try one of those silicone masks over your face. It will keept the hada labo and moisturizer in. Even better do it over a sheet mask. But the mask is tight. My ear flaps broke but I just drape them over my ears and it says well enough. Keeps my hair from getting sticky.
Thanks! Do you mean these? They look really attractive and are a great price, but I can't read Korean to understand the difference between them. They all say "Collagen Essence Mask". Is the only difference the addition of a single fragrance/fruit/flavor?
I use these I got on Amazon. I like them, but the fragrance can be a little strong on some of them. Watch out if you have super sensitive skin. I haven't had problems personally, but my skin is pretty resilient to fragrance.
I really like korean sheet masks, I started using 1 a day recently. I am linking a cheap brand from amazon that I have purchased with no bad effects, but there are higher end ones
Use after you clean your face and before you moisturize. You can squeeze out the serum after 20 mins and rub on your face or use on your body.
