We have frustratingly little insight into how soulfire works from Uncrowned. I think that (perhaps barring the missing archlord vault scene) it's my biggest disappointment with the book. Lindon never once mentions how it's used, how it feels, how he plans to get more, whether he's running low...Soulfire is weirdly absent from every scene.
What we do know from Underlord is that overlords use gigantic techniques, presumably fueled by their superior soulfire. We also know that at each step in the lord stage, the body is "reforged" again in the more powerful soulfire. Just speculating here: maybe the quality of natural treasures consumed needs to be higher? Or it could be a matter of enlarging soulspace to make room for more and more soulfire until some critical mass has been achieved, and it can be "crunched" down akin to Lindon's transition from foundation > copper.
Edit: In Heroes Wanted, the short story anthology where Will has a short story about Ziel, there's this line: "He had been bathed in soulfire, reborn thrice, emerging an Archlord."
Also it's free. Here's the link

The chapter in question is The savior of Garden's gate. And it's the best. Ziel is the best.
Per Amazon:
Product Description An all-new Stormlight Archive novella, "Edgedancer," will be the crown jewel of Arcanum Unbounded: The Cosmere Collection, the first book of short fiction by #1 New York Times bestselling author Brandon Sanderson.
The collection will include nine works in all. The first eight are:
“The Hope of Elantris” (Elantris) “The Eleventh Metal” (Mistborn) “The Emperor's Soul” (Elantris) “Allomancer Jak and the Pits of Eltania, Episodes 28 through 30” (Mistborn) “White Sand" (excerpt; Taldain) "Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell” (Threnody) “Sixth of Dusk” (First of the Sun) “Mistborn: Secret History” (Mistborn)
These wonderful works, originally published on Tor.com and elsewhere individually, convey the expanse of the Cosmere and tell exciting tales of adventure Sanderson fans have come to expect, including the Hugo Award-winning novella, “The Emperor's Soul” and an excerpt from the graphic novel "White Sand."
Arcanum Unbounded will also contain the Stormlight Archive novella "Edgedancer," which will appear in this book for the first time anywhere. It is a story of Lift, taking place between Words of Radiance and the forthcoming Oathbringer.
Finally, this collection includes essays and illustrations for the various planetary systems in which the stories are set.
Those LoTR books are gorgeous. I’d love to get a set like that.
edit found them on Amazon. Only $50 Canadian. Not bad.

I got these for Christmas a couple years back. Used them to read the series for the first time and I absolutely love them. The font is small but manageable.
The complete works of H P Lovecraft is available as one hardback book on Amazon with a nice sturdy case, thin bible-style pages and a page ribbon. It's a great buy.

This review speaks for itself:
"I originally read most of these stories a quarter of a century ago, but it was good to find them all in one volume. Let's face it, Lovecraft needs to be read from a heavy tome, preferably by guttering candlelight, as you strain to hear the strange slithering sound just outside your chamber door, and not on a tablet on the 8.52 to Nottingham. All the classic Lovecraft tales are here, and the book is beautifully bound and printed. The print is a good readable size, and each tale has a brief introduction detailing when it was written and any interesting references. You soon realise how hugely influential old H.P was, sci-fi, fantasy and horror have all learned from him, writers like Stephen King and James Herbert obviously so, but others too. Terry Pratchett referenced Lovecraft too. One slight word of caution, the racial language and descriptions in some of the stories are very much of their time. When I first read them years ago I didn't notice so much, but now, even though I'm not the most PC person in the world, some of the language is fairly shocking. If you've not read Lovecraft before be aware of it, but don't let it put you off. Overall a really nice edition."
It's a book containing a collection of a bunch of short stories, you'll want to make sure you read the blurbs before each story, though, as it will tell you if the story will contain spoilers for other books.

I had this same set, then had The Hobbit and Fellowship stolen when my car window was smashed and the backpack they were in was taken. Two years I sat frustratingly staring (not the entire time) at an incomplete box set. Just recently I simply had to right this wrong and picked up a new set of them, which has also inspired me to re-read all the way through again.
By the way, this pocket edition set is amazingly fair priced for its quality, look, and feel. And although they are pocket editions, they are extremely readable in my opinion. Highly recommended, $28 bucks on Amazon:

Ohhhhh.. sorry. It's in the "Heroes Wanted" anthology!

If anyone else is interested this is what I bought and now it’s on sale

Amazon has The Last Wish in full size paperback. I ordered it, also saw a Blood of Elves full size paperback. But it wasn't prime.
The Last Wish: https://www.amazon.com/dp/0316438960/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apis_1505528345357
Blood of Elves (have to click the new and used link. A few are selling new.): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BXU5EPM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apis_1505528508822
I saw them in the US at Barnes and Noble a few weeks back. Here's the link from the web store, you may be able to find it there if you want to get it in person.
Amazon seems to have it for half the price though, if you can wait.

Not exactly mythos related, but if you want ‘multiple weird fiction writers’ and want to avoid the ‘never mind the quality feel the width’ aspect to the ubiquitous Amazon ‘megapacks’ I can strongly recommend Jeff VanderMeer’s The Weird anthology. The quality of authors is incredible and includes a lot of Lovecraft-adjacent and Lovecraft-inspired writers (Lord Dunsany, Laird Barron, Robert Bloch, Fritz Lieberman, Ligotti etc etc etc). It should keep you busy…
This link is good for the fan translations of the third, seventh, and eighth books. You can buy The Last Wish from Amazon to see if you like it.
Yeah, bought the whole series on Amazon.
i got these versions since i dont speak other languages except for all the bad stuff in polish :P
If you get this one, it's actually a deal on Amazon US right now for $2.99 for the Kindle edition, then you can buy the audiobook for $11.99 whispersync deal. I remembered seeing it on the /r/ebookdeals subreddit earlier today. Depending on how much you pay for your credits (and whether you have any interest in the Kindle edition too), this could be a good deal.
Have patience. Go where you must go, and hope!
Congrats on the major accomplishment and gift. For those who are interested it's currently on sale on Amazon.

I basically bought this one and the Silmarillion. Looking forward to finally reading it.

Thanks for the help!
Here's an Amazon link to pocket editions of both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.

You can find the first book Last Wish on Amazon here:
https://www.amazon.com/Last-Wish-Introducing-Witcher/dp/0316029181
Of course, most places that sell books have the Witcher series including Audible for the audiobook versions.
The Book order is last wish, sword of destiny, blood of elves, time of contempt, baptism of fire, tower of the swallow (mistranslated as Tower of Swallows), Lady of the Lake, season of storms.
I would also recommend reading in a language other than English if you can. The English versions have a number of mistranslations as you can see from the fact that they mistranslated the title of one of the books. I can personally vouch for the Spanish translations being a much better.
Oh, and just so you don't miss it: https://www.amazon.com/Arcanum-Unbounded-Collection-Brandon-Sanderson/dp/0765391163
It's a collection of short stories and each tells you when it's recommended to be read. There's a novella from the same planet as Elantris in it called the The Emperor's Soul that doesn't tie in directly to Elantris but does show other parts of that world.
I like the pocket editions: https://www.amazon.com/Hobbit-Lord-Rings-Deluxe-Pocket/dp/0544445783 They are also sold at Target and Walmart, online at least. The covers are a really nice faux leather ish texture. Is that what it’s called?)
The font is a bit small, if that bothers you.
I like that all of them match, which is pretty much a guarantee if you get a box set (The pocket editions even have their own little half box that they can be stored in). Other than that, I think it’s just preference.
I got a good deal on amazon. It claims to be hardcover but its more like top tier paperback.
I'd love an anthology, though some of the things here (like how the bloodline Vow works) I hope we see before the series ends.
Incidentally, there has been at least one Cradle short story added to an anthology. Heroes Wanted: A Fantasy Anthology features a short story from Will that explains some of Ziel's background.
I did a quick search and pulled this up on Amazon.
Its not quite what I was thinking when I thought “leather bound”, but it’s a pocket sized, leather-bound edition along with LoTR.
Hope it helps.
