Jaw looks like a roll of quarters. Could very well be a DD.
Why don't you people buyyyyy scalesssssss.
This is a phenomenal non-tournament scale.
I'ma start a charity campaign for #ScalesForTheScaleless
Edit: I see that your scale just needed batteries. #SpareBatteriesForTheBatteryless

You can individually package your leftovers into meals with none of that dried out freezer burn of the past. Not to mention reseal most all bags of chips, nuts, dried fruits.

If you really wanted to be analytical and had the equipment, you would use a tensile strength tester (google "Instron").

I put these on mine, the contrast between the orange tip and blacked out rear sight fixed aquisition for me. And they co witness red dots.
I have a FoodSaver V2244 and love it. I also got it on the rare occasion when Amazon had it for $29.99.
Cause it's the number one on Amazon

I just use a luggage scale I got from Walmart like this style:
Pour it in a bucket and then hook the scale to the bucket handle it and weight it out.
Easier and takes up less space then a normal scale
You can get a cheap digital fish scale which will certainly be accurate enough to determine how powerful a linear actuator you will need. Be sure to check the force for both opening and closing.

I feel like the company that makes that net owes some love to this subreddit. I struggled to find one that met all my kayak-specific-net criteria until I saw someone post that one on this sub.

What do you recommend for lube? I got a can of G96, but that was more for cleaning. It says it lubes as well, but I'm open to ideas.
You’re so close. Buy these right meow

Poke the needle straight in and flip your work to see where the tip is emerging before committing to the stitch. I like to use forceps to pull the needle through. After you do this for a while you'll get a feel for how the needle needs to be directed for the result you want.
I had really just started getting into fishing about 6 months before I moved to Florida, got a scale to weigh bass and other fish and I haven't used it at all since moving here. I didn't realize with saltwater fish it's more about length than weight and weighing them vertically like bass can actually kill some of the bigger fish.
Speaking of nets. I got this https://www.amazon.com/Foreverlast-Inc-LN-ForEverlast-Pro/dp/B005OJQSQ2/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=kayak+net&qid=1609270350&sr=8-4 earlier this year and it works pretty good. I tried to net a saltwater catfish and the barbs got tanngled in it an I had to cut part of the net out to get the fish out though.
I like how it floats so if you drop it in the water you won't have to go diving for it. It's just kinda awkward and hard to net a big fish with it on the kayak.
For my rig with the holosun 507c, I chose these:
AmeriGlo Sight, fits All Glocks Except 42/43, Green Tritium Orange Outline Front Black Rear, Tall Suppressor Set https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018JRCUUS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ZvsCDbB2NE49F
I actually like no dots on the rear sights in this case the front is co-witnessed so it's not distracting.
If you buy from Amazon, be sure to use smile.amazon.com and choose the 2nd amendment foundation as your eligible charity.
the measure net is pretty damn light, but i don't like the narrowness of it. i use one of these. currently have the 13", but there's an 11" as well:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001FTSADY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
it's light enough that it's not cumbersome, but big enough for larger fish - not like i actually catch big fish, but i like to be hopeful!
Frabill 13x18 highly recommend it for the price, especially if you have the possibility of catching 30" fish...
I've seen this one recommended quite a bit. I'd also pick up a lip gripper for it, as well. Just make sure you tare (or zero) the scale with the lip gripper attached to ensure accurate weight.
I just bought the Ameriglo sights on Amazon for my 45 MOS with a Holosun. I got the green front post with black rear, but the link is for the orange front post. Unfortunately I haven’t gotten them yet, so I can’t say how they are one way or another, but the reviews seem pretty good, and the price is nice.
And congrats finishing the finals.

Bought this maybe 6 years ago? Been a great scale. I've taken it all over the place.
I use this one.
If you're going to be entering tournaments I'd recommend a culling scale that saves weights though.
Thoughts on using something like this https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00ZWNGZFO/ to weight my keg to help estimate remaining beer? Figure weight is best way to gauge it. Could say beer is equal to water and get the tare weight of the keg. Could also double for my co2 Tank?
I have this one. I picked it because of the low entry price and because you can also use it to vacuum seal mason jars. Not true canning, but definitely lets things stay longer. It came with a ton of bags and rolls to get started with.
I will say the sealer I have is best for lower volumes. If you are doing a big harvest or processing a deer or something, you would want something bigger. This one you have to let cool down after doing 10 seals pretty quick back to back.
As for price of bags, I would agree with u/97runner that they can be expensive. I only buy the rolls now. They are WAY cheaper and you can cut them to whatever size you want. I cut them way bigger than they need to be, seal them at the top, and when I open them, cut off as little as possible. That way you can clean and re-use them. I've head really good luck with that - they seal just fine over and over.
There are also bags they sell that have valves for re-use and vacuum seal Tupperware type things. If you are accessing things on a fairly regular basis, those types of things might be worth it, but I haven't invested yet.
I'd recommend this combo:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ZWNGZFO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ABlxBbCA09E54
and
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009OZ6YES/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_aDlxBbC2523E4
the grip both allows you to easily handle the toothy guys or any fish without harming it, and has a hole for the scale that the first link fits in, allowing you to weigh the fish without harming it. some people put their scales right through the gill plate or their jaws, which is lame if you're releasing. just add a tare to the scale for the weight of the grip. both are relatively small in size to fit in yer tackle box.
Getting a Food Saver or equivalent will literally pay for itself 10Xs over. Saving hops, meat, freezing fruit/vegetables etc it’ll save you money.
