3M and other companies make rubber eraser wheels that go in a drill and will take off pinstripes, decals, and other types of stickers fairly easily and won't damage the paint underneath.
I've used them before plenty of times and they are worth every penny - and they don't cost a lot of pennies, either.
Something like this, for example: https://www.amazon.com/Whizzy-Wheel-Sticker-Remover-Adapter/dp/B00FJF0O2K/ref=sr\_1\_6?crid=3SBRE2129V2Q6&dchild=1&keywords=rubber+eraser+wheel&qid=1622762616&sprefix=rubber+eraser%2Caps%2C197&sr=8-6
I have heard a rubber wheel like these works well.

Acetone can also be used and bar keepers friend is also a great cleaner on fiberglass
Have had good luck with 3M Caulk remover and a caulk remover tool
Yeah this is the one I used myself! Worked well enough and I couldn’t complain. Make sure you’re using the side of the eraser wheel and not trying to use the flat face, I made that mistake at first.

One of these will save you hours. Used one on my truck and it did wonders.

I’ve used this before and it worked awesome! Wonder Wheel Pinstripe Eraser Wheel Pad - Car Decal and Sticker Removal Tool Kit to Remove Decals in Minutes https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00VFACQRE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_W9BJ3AVQ5EW3M8P1HSCE?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Started picking on an edge to get it started then peeled slowly. Heat gun might have helped but did not use. There were parts I just could get and bought the wheel eraser thingy off amazon that did wonders.
The link is not the one I bought but same thing...

Yeah I like the cleaner lines without the molding, even if it had been in good shape.
I had to look back in my Amazon orders for the eraser wheel, it’s this one:

I used up about half the wheel to do both sides. It seems to be made to remove pinstripes and decals but it did great on the dried out foam tape left behind on the car. Just don’t run it too long in one spot, you can eventually burn the paint.
In a pinch, I have used one of these
You just gotta be careful, if you push to hard or stay on one spot too long you'll burn into the paint. Also, once you do this, you'll want to buff, polish, and re-wax the paint.
Carpet glue. Stuff does not want to come off.
You can try all the adhesive removers. If nothing works for you, this soybean derivative may do the trick:

It’s cheaper than using the wrong tool and fucking up.
I guess $10-30 is the same as $100 as well.

Whizzy Wheel would really help here.

I haven't tried the generic ones though.
I just did this with 2 ski's. I used one of these eraser wheels
Yes, pretty simple. I recorded a video doing it but have't uploaded it anywhere yet.
I used an electric drill with a Deacal Eraser Wheel and some Goof Off and it came off pretty easy.
Do not let the sticker or surrounding area get too hot as it can damage your paint. Once removed any small residual goo may require goo gone, wd40, or a clay bar to remove. Finish it up with a bit of polish and then wax and it will be like it never happened.
I've debadged countless vehicles with this method and if you go slow and are careful it works.

Just finished removing a gloss black wrap from my roof with similar deterioration. Typically happens from the sun and exposure to elements over time. Tried all the traditional routes of heat, plastic scrapers, etc. Only thing that worked was a power drill and an eraser wheel.

I've seen other people use a steamer as well. If you have access to that, its likely a bit easier.
Remove it, if it bothers you. This usually dissolves it, so you can wipe up the mastic with paper towels:

Says it's for concrete, but I've also used it on wood subfloors.
An automotive body shop will sell a rubber eraser wheel on a stick that will remove stickers. You'll need to install this wheel onto a power drill.
Be VERY careful in using it, as you can damage the underlying paint. You'll want to experiment with how hard you press and how fast you spin the drill.
I use one if these at work for removing vinyl. Works fantastic and is super easy to use, would take one off in seconds with no damage to the surface. If your boss wants you to remove them tell them to spend the $10 for the tool and a wireless drill. Enjoy

If you leave it on for a couple years they can get REALLY hard to remove, though. You have to use one of these on a power drill to remove it. On a $80k Caddy? No thanks.
A mix of solvents (brake cleaner, acetone. Stuff like that but the stronger the eaiser itll be), heat gun, plastic scraper (or maybe this thing, not sure how well it works but its supposedly works great), and a lot of elbow grease.
Use one of these all the time to remove adhesive on vehicles

Check your local auto shops for a tool called whizzy wheel / pin stripe removal. You put it in a drill and it'll remove stickers quick and easy without damaging paint.
