For those who like to wear a Garmin watch and don't like carrying a dedicated charging cable, a small USB-C to Garmin charger adapter is now available:
Viofo A119 mini. Nice simple single camera setup. It is not hardwired; I power it with a Garmin Constant Power Cable (OBD2-to-USB). I like it, it is a nice and simple single camera setup. Other models from the brand include a second (rear) camera, and still others include cloud features that I don't really want or need.
If you are still stuck DM me your address and I will send you one with Amazon prime. It will be this generic one tho: https://smile.amazon.com/TUSITA-Forerunner-Approach-Vivoactive-Vivosport/dp/B07512DV9Z
I second this. Got the Garmin Dash Cam mini 2 and with it, this Garmin Constant Power Cable,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094Y3KNFJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share The mini is on sale and I will probably get another for the rear. Reliable connection through Bluetooth and wifi.
Don't use these with cheap USB-C chargers.

I think the issue is more around the charging unit than the cable itself. I stick to a 1amp one (don't forget if you don't have a 1amp most of the USB ports of a PC /laptop tend to be 1amp).
I have been using these from amazon on a 1amp charging base without any issues: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B071DXC3NV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

Straps - not sure but think its just a case of finding decent ones - most people don't have issues with 3rd party bands. The Garmin Forum for the V2 may suggest some options that people have tried.
https://smile.amazon.com/Compact-Hardwire-Adapter-Smartphone-SiriusXM/dp/B00I3P6QQG This one looks good, do these have inline fuses too, or straight depend on fuse in the fuse panel or they just conver and fuse tap should have that? Basically i need to get a fuse tap on top of this, right? Thanks for the links.
I use these to charge my watch and they support data

I'm part of the UL crowd and backpacking and bikepacking is my primary use for my powerbank. Nitecore makes good stuff and the NB10000 is hard to beat ounce for ounce.
Go ahead and get one of these so you don't have to carry a whole other charging cable: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0972NNZ72
I recorded each day of a 15 day thru hike with GPS and heart rate on my Fenix 6X Pro, charging every 3 or 4 days. It worked great.
Throw it in the bin and buy a new one. They are 2 for $6.50 on Amazon.

I've got this one:

Works well for both charging and data transfers.
I believe Garmin makes one for this camera. It's a 3-wire kit for the cameras parking mode feature. If your sure you don't want to use parking mode, then the cheaper 2-wire kits are fine. There are lots of different cheap 2-wire kit brands. Viofo being one of the most popular. Just pay attention to the direction of the plug. You don't want the wire to stick out in a funky way. https://www.amazon.com/Garmin-010-12530-03-Parking-Mode-Cable/dp/B06XTBPYS2
I've used little usb direct hardwire dealies like this guy before.
Just power it of switched 12v, and hide it all nicely behind the dash.
Or this one will give you direct micro usb, to cut out a cable.
edit : I'm sure there are waaaay cheaper options that do the same thing. Those were just easily found :)
A: AA duracell
B: im atleast 4 hours into this pair of batteries and ive gone back and fourth between the pi 2 b and the zero. i even ran retropie for a little while because i couldn't find my wall plug.
I have that exact device powering my dash cam (well, I have the single USB port version). It works perfectly. I have it wired into the fuse box and it's hidden entirely behind the dashboard trim.
Edit: actually it's this one that I bought.
