I bought the complete Far Side collection in hard book. All of it (15 years of daily comics) were in two books. I remember reading the reviews online that the books were too big and heavy and were difficult to hold while reading. I thought that was an exaggeration, but nope. I couldn't believe it when I received it. Each book weighs about 10 pounds. It's ridiculous.... and completely awesome!

Right there with ya, Garfield, Calvin & Hobbes, and Farside. Boy, I must have read through those collections so many times. One of my first purchases as an adult in my first apartment was the hard bound Calvin & Hobbes collection.
Amazon! At the time it was $50 instead of $100. (Paper back but High quality, all of his comics divided into 4 books.

Ignore the other reply. There are much better Silver Age reprints now, availabe either as fat trade paperbacks or full omnibuses (this one has been released already, I think it just comes up as a pre-order as it's a new printing). Either one of these is great value for money, and I think they've already overtaken the Flash Chronicles collections in terms of how far into the Flash they collect.
Have you read much Silver Age before? The problem is there's not really much "character" to find on any title. At least for me, if I was just shown the script of any given comic I couldn't tell you if it was Bruce Wayne, Barry Allen, Wonder Woman or a no-name side character from an old horror anthology title. It feels like it wasn't until the early 70s where we really started to get character development and morel locked-down personalities for each hero, rather than essentially a series of fictional actors who could be placed in various scenarios to see how they cope. It's why a lot of people say that Barry has no personality - he was largely active during the Silver Age and was relatively devoid of any uniqueness, and once they finally started playing with him a bit more he immediately got Crisis'd to death. He was kind of a blank slate character when they brought him back.
That being said, it was fun to read Mark Waid's 'Born to Run' story after reading Wally's inital Silver Age appearances. Waid essentially retcons the early Kid Flash stories as taking place over a single summer, and honestly it fits in really nicely with previously established Silver Age continuity (even though we were well into the post-Crisis era by this point). Definitely would recommend that story/run if you do check out SA Flash (and most people would recommend it anyway, it's pretty great!).
So, it’s kind of an investment, but you should totally get The Complete Far Side, which is a whopping 1,278 pages long and has every Far Side comic that’s ever been published. It’s absolutely worth it, and it’s even on sale at 30% off on Amazon.
Only $52.99 for the paperback collection on Amazon ($105 for hardcover)
The entire Calvin & Hobbes collection is on Amazon for anyone interested. It's got the Bill Watterson seal of approval for those that know how against merchandising he was.
edit* This one.
On Amazon there's a DC Rebirth Omnibus (including the Rebirth one-shot and all the specials) and a Rebirth Collector's Edition "featuring expansive bonus material, from early concept sketches to variant covers" available for pre-order.
Both are hardcovers though. However it wouldn't surprise me if a paperback version of both books wold be released later on. (if they follow the same pattern as with the New 52 trades, the paperback should be released ~6 months later)
If you enter this very question "Is there a book anywhere that compiles every Calvin and Hobbes comic?" into Google, the top hit (in anon mode) is a The Complete Calvin and Hobbes Amazon link.
Silver Age Flash is my favorite, I believe they just released a new Vol 1 of that.
Edit: Found two recent releases on Amazon both on sale:
I love both of those. Secret Identity is my favorite not technically a Superman Superman story :)
Edit: I really enjoyed the comics featured in the Alan Moore DC collection too: https://www.amazon.com/DC-Universe-Stories-Alan-Moore/dp/1401209270
Oftentimes those middling Golden Age issues don’t get collected, regardless of character. Those archive editions are long out of print and I’m not sure if they are going to give The Flash the same sleek modern reprints like they have with Wonder Woman, Batman, and Supes.
To be honest collecting like this sounds like a chore. I think your best bet is to buy the current Silver Age reprint . Read it, then see if you want to continue collecting them. Those Golden Age books aren’t exactly page turners all the time.
If you start with the Silver Age reprint you will see whether or not these older books are for you. With the DC characters with these long histories they tend to be completely different characters between the Golden Age, Silver, and modern era (both literally and figuratively).
Well, I got mine on amazon but you can probably find it at any major bookstore or even a used bookstore
Well, I got mine on amazon (looks like it’s still on sale too!)but you could probably find it at Barnes and noble or any other major bookstore
Yep, they've announced a rebirth omnibus to be released in December.

Looks like it's up for preorder already on Amazon

According to the reviews on amazon, the pages are glued to the spine, so they will eventually fall apart if you use it often =/

Get them all if you can. The paperback set is on Amazon for $52
What is the best way to read the full Green Lantern/Green Arrow Arc from O'Niel and Adams? I've seen this version linked in the recommended reading section, but there are some comments on Amazon saying that this is the second installment of this arc, or something to that affect, so I was wandering whether there is something I need to read before hand, because I don't want to miss anything if I buy this version. Thank you for answering, if you can!
I bought the complete collection (hard cover) on Amazon many years ago. The reviews said the books were high quality but too heavy. I thought they were exaggerating. But nope. The collection is divided into only 2 books and each weighs probably 6-7 pounds. Super awkward to hold while reading. https://www.amazon.ca/Complete-Far-Side-Gary-Larson/dp/0740721135/
I know Valve and Dark Horse have a deal for physical Valve comics, for what it's worth.
The first book was nothing but reprints of online comics, but the second book (to be released whenever the hell this TF2 comic finishes up) is supposed to have new material in it.
They probably will, they already sell a hardback of all the TF2 comics, l4d comics and portal comics in one.

This my favorite book. The contents are hilarious, and the books are heavy. I am certain I can kill someone by smacking them with this collection.
The one I have is The Indispensable Calvin and Hobbes which is 1 in 8 books that cover the entire collection.
I have considered in the past to get the complete collection (this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1449433251) but did not. Maybe some day.
