This is a green tea cold brew with the Tao of Tea's Dragonwell leaves, kiwi, strawberries, and a few blueberries. This week I have been doing different mixtures with my green tea. The first was just honeydew which was okay. The other was watermelon which I really enjoyed. The last was a combination of those two which was awesome!
This is my infuser; I always blend my teas with honey from a local beekeeper who I have the luxury of working with and occasionally sugar as well. The honeydew and watermelon did not get sugar though as it was very good with just honey.
I've used this one and this one from amazon. You just have to make sure it's actually all spearmint. A lot of store brands mix the mints, so check the back for that.
I have one cup a day. 1-2 tbsp is all you need for a big cup. Less if you're using a standard one, but mine are all giant Friends size lol.
I tried using an infuser, but always ended up with bits in my tea, so now I just use my ninja coffee maker with a filter for a single morning cup. You can make a whole pot and fridge it too if you'd prefer it cold. For me it replaced my morning coffee so it was easy getting into a habit with it.
at risk of sounding like a tea snob i suggest going loose leaf. not for any health reason, but because typically the prebagged tea is the lowest possible grade that people from asia don't want to eat and tastes pretty bad. there are some in a similar price range like this one or this one. imo even these cheap ones taste good without additions like sugar, which can't be said for the cheaper coffees.
I love that stuff too! You could just go with something inexpensive like this. They sell it at just about every Asian grocery store, too. Throw the tea in a pitcher of cold water in the fridge overnight, then strain out the leaves in the morning. For cold brew, I use around 12g per L of water. If you don't have a scale, 1 tsp per 8 oz should work.
They use vitamin c (ascorbic acid) as a preservative, so if you're trying to make it as close as possible, you could try adding a pinch of citric or ascorbic acid.

Sugimoto Tea Company SA Japanese Sen Cha, Loose Leaf, Package, White (ASINPPOSPRME18669), green tea, 3.5 Ounce
Sugimoto tea is the only quality sencha I've found on Amazon. I've imported from Yunomi, SazenTea, and other high-end places, and I can say Sugimoto tea is authentic, high-quality fukamushi sencha. The value for the price is excellent and rare.
Unfortunately, Sugimoto only offers a few different teas; so beyond that in the U.S. to avoid having to import, I would recommend Tezumi.
I can do green teas. I mostly drink this very plain green jasmine tea, it is very basic and does not bother me. I put a big pinch of the tea in a mug of hot water. A can lasts me a long time.

Hi! Yeah so I've been using this cheap home IPL device since last November and drinking 12 cups of this tea every day...
I've had a significant reduction in body hair growth. I used to have to shave my body hair twice a week and now I go almost 2 weeks before needing to shave. I stay smooth way longer and don't suffer from razor burn any more.
A lot of people say IPL doesn't work... It definitely does but YMMV. It works great for me because I have really light skin and dark hair. I also have a strong commitment to using the device consistently long term. I started by using it for two months, three times a week. It takes me 30 minutes to do my upper legs, chest, butt, bikini line and armpits. I tapered down to twice a week for two months and now I only IPL once a week.
Super happy with the results. 😊😊😊. Good luck I hope this helps.
new here, sorry if i missed something in the faq.
does anyone know what kind of tea the standard oi ocha is? (this https://www.amazon.com/Ito-En-Unsweetened-Antioxidants-Excellent/dp/B0017T2MWW?th=1 )
it says green tea. i have a variety with a little matcha in it, but it's still mostly "green tea" (doesn't really taste like matcha at all). i can't quite find any that tastes similar in the west.
Decaf tea. rooibos tea is amazing and super good for you.
Well of course it would be silly of me to not recommend our loose leaf green tea, seeing as how we have been making Japanese green teas for over 75 years :)
Yamasan is also good, as well as Kimikura and a few other brands.
Typically I would stay away from the huge companies, as they typically offer the cheapest prices (and also pay farmers next nothing for their lowest quality teas).
If you are okay with going away from Amazon there are lots of great websites for green teas. Tezumi is great, as well as Den's Tea, etc. Too many recommendations to list!
Good luck with your hunt!
I really just like the generic grocery store brand. Over the more expensive Yogi, if your just looking for the caffeine and health benefits.
I do like the budget friendly Costco brand.
Kirkland Ito En Matcha Blend Japanese Green Tea-100 ct 1.5g tea bags https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000WB1YSE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_PX234QZEVA0605KQSD7Z
For best flavor, you would need actual Japanese sencha. However, republic of teas has a really great tasting “double green” little pricey though
The blue part says "it's also good cold, it can also be used in your own bottle"
No mention of caffeine, but from my experience, japanese green tea (including Itoen oi-ocha) is pretty mild on caffeine.
I buy and drink the pure sencha variety which comes in large and small bottles, and it's good either hot or cold (though i usually prefer cold). And they also sell mixed sencha/matcha tea bags (rebranded at Costco too!) that are excellent warm in the winter.
These ones are "100% domestic (japanese) tea". "100 sticks" of green sencha tea with added matcha powder, 1 serving each.
These are the teas i mention above: Ito En Tea Oi Ocha Green Tea, Unsweetened, 16.9 Ounce (Pack of 12) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0017T2MWW/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_7KKMHJW421T8K3VQWS3T

$11 for 3.5oz
Much, much better than Harney. This is real Japanese tea, and they also sell good hojicha (roasted tea) and genmaicha (sencha with roasted rice).
There is one tea from Harney I enjoyed that I haven't found a replacement for, and that is their Yuzu Sencha. If anyone has a recommendation for sencha with bits of yuzu, please let me know!
It's a tea infuser with a filter in the top made by Hario. I have the 750ml which turns out is not enough for me, but here is the link.
I use a Hario Filter-in-Bottle and just add some tea before bed, put it in the fridge, and drink it in the morning.
i'm not so brave to venture outside "bagged leaf" but i've been really enjoying a cup of costco ito en matcha blend every morning! so toasty and i haven't gotten tired of it yet! definiteely still going to scourge this sub to find out more about loose leaf + cold brewing tea

Davidson's loose leaf spearmint tea. I thought I was getting an average size bag for $15 but it came way bigger than I expected. I've been using about 4tsp everyday for over 2 months now and I still have plenty left!
Yikes. I could definitely understand it not being for everyone...
I believe not all brands taste the same. If you’re in the US, I purchased this one from Amazon. It’s loose leaf and I steep 1 tsp in about 8-9 oz of hot water for about 7 minutes. I don’t add anything to it so my only suggestion is to try different brands. And just a warning, the link below is a pretty big bag.

Harney and Sons Paris Tea - I like it with a little bit of sugar or honey. I also typically drink tea cold though I am very sure this would be just as good hot. I have also had this with almond milk and it was quite good. It reminds me a lot of Earl Grey just with a bit of citrus and vanilla added to it as well. I've introduced it to a few people and everyone has enjoyed it. If I am in the mood for something fruity they have a fruit d'alsace tea that I really enjoy as well.
I LOVE tea! Now, tbh I’ve never tried this tea but it sounds amazing! It’s fruity pebble tea it’s a strawberry pineapple green tea and I want to try it soooo bad!! Though what I really need are new tea infuser balls because mine broke :(
I didnt mention anything at all about ownership. I'm just calling it by how its identified on the cover of the box. As far as I know Kirkland is the Costco branding for their products they sell similar to Great Value for Walmart.

Jasmine for dayzzz
Here's my recipe
-1/2 cup kombucha starter tea -1/2 cup honey -3 cups gree tea -(1½ cup hot water -1½ tbsp loose leaf jasmine green tea -1½ cup cold water -5 minutes brewing time)
I have Missouri honey on hand and the tea is super active! I leave it for 2 days during F2 for super fuzziness!!
I'm going to be pausing Jun brewing for a while now that I'm low on honey and honey is super expensive. 😭
Good luck on your Jun journey if you decided to embark on one! 🙂
Strawberry Pineapple Green Tea | FRUITY PEBBLES 1.6 Ounce Pouch by TIESTA TEA | Medium Caffeine | Loose Leaf Green Tea Slenderizer Blend https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ECOSY08/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_.D9oCbPTP8WWQ Here's one that sounds good, idk if it's your sort of thing though. It says slenderize but whatever lol
The FDA (if you're in the US) has approved all four commonly used methods of decaffeination, including using methylene chloride and ethyl acetate. Trace amounts, that is to say little to none, of these compounds are left after the decaffeination process and there are not any studies that show any increased risk of adverse health outcomes from ingesting tea decaffeinated by these processes. So I wouldn't worry about "safety", considering all of the methods approved for use are safe :)
Personally, I love YamamotoYama's sushi bar style green tea. It has a very clean matcha-like taste, and it's one of the brands with a low caffeine content (~11 mg per 8 oz of tea brewed for 3 minutes, but you'll get less caffeine if you treat it right and just pour over hot water and don't let it steep, much sweeter flavor with less steeping). You can find it on Amazon here.
Set it up overnight. Your tea of choice, room temperature water, 6-8 hrs in the fridge overnight (time can vary)
Note - you will need to experiment with quantity of leaf you are using. Cold brewing is pretty fool proof and forgiving, but the one variable to pay attention to is quantity of leaf you use, and will likely require some experimentation.
Lately, I have been using this to cold brew. Makes about 0.75 litres of tea, easy to use, easy to clean.
I made a hoppy double red ale with red rooibos tea. I made my normal double red recipe but "dry-hopped" the loose leaf tea at secondary then went through a fine mesh sieve when I moved into my keg. Here's what I used. Turned out phenomenal!! Happy Brewing :D
> Konacha
Oh I see. Like this?
It seems so much easier to make compared to matcha, is the price difference just for the taste/quality?
