Recently bought a Lemome to avoid ghosting and get something a little more durable.
120gsm ivory paper, I haven’t had any sort of ghosting or bleed though. The pages are a bit wider too, helps for larger spreads!

All you need is a notebook and pen! It can be any notebook and pen, as well. If you want to be fancy, a lot of people recommend a Leuchtturm1917 notebook. You should also read about the bullet journal method.
But the most important thing is to have fun and use this journal to organize anything you need in your life!
I bought these a while ago and they're really great. The paper's thick enough for pens to not bleed through
The Power Company has a process journal that could work well for what you are looking for.
I use a black moleskin journal to keep track of my progress, this is the one I bought off amazon.
I write my focus for the day, the drills or workouts that I do, how the session is going, particular things that I noticed while climbing, strength training exercises (sets and reps), my start and end times for my climbing and workouts (It is nice to track how much time you spend at the gym each week, and what portion is time spent climbing vs. strength training).
I don't write the individual climbs/grades that I do. I don't see much of a point to this, as gym grades are not very consistent and they aren't up for that long. When I am outdoors, I write every route that I climb.
I also tried keeping notes in a spreadsheet on my phone, but I like writing better, and it keeps me off of my phone while training.
I just bought a pack off Amazon, and have done a couple pages and there is ghosting but it's very minimal (admittedly worse with certain pens and colors) and I'm happy with it. This is my index and the ghosting from it. Pretty faint. http://imgur.com/gallery/Ft5HDYF
The brand name in the cover is Lenome, but the seller on Amazon is BooQool. Here's the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0778KGTTB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_XPKwBb89E46E4
It's a Leuchtterm1917 A5 notebook!
Here's an Amazon link
Been really liking Lemome's hardcover A5 dot journal ( https://www.amazon.com/Thick-Classic-Notebook-Pen-Loop/dp/B07168XGHT?th=1&psc=1 ) Great price and looks/feels wonderful too. Just randomly tried it off of Amazon one day and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. Although I do enjoy my TWSBI Eco fountain pen, been using a Pilot v5 rt and a precise mainly. As a lefthander it feels good to have a pen that lays down bold ink but doesn't smear immediately.
I use a 2 pack journal I found on Amazon. Hardcover pleather, no numbers, and dotted, with a pocket in the back. For 14$ (so 7 a piece). The pages are thick enough that I can use my crayola supertip markers and have no bleeding, but not excessively thick. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0778KGTTB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_q6z4BbANMTEJ2
I also have a Minimalist Art notebook. I haven't actually used this one, but the pages are thick. 100gsm. IMO, I think they'll be too thick for my liking, but it depends on what you do with your bujo. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077Y5KDJP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_SaA4BbCD56PP7
Here it is! Not the exact same one I used (it's gone) but really similar and there are a lot to choose from on Amazon
This is the notebook I used to size it. I tried to pick something that would fit a lot of notebooks.
Lechtturm1917 notebooks also include an index in the front of their notebooks, and the pages come pre-numbered.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002TSIMW4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_6z--FbH2GSDHS?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
They come in other colours besides black as well.
Not stupid at all! This notebook is my first one! i just started bullet journaling in August. I used this cheap one so I could try out the system and see if it was a good fit for me before shelling out money for a fancy notebook: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0797P84CZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.
I'm using a moleskine grid in A5 and it's been working great as a functional bujo for me. Love that it flips open to every page easily, and that the pages are not completely white! Pretty hardy imo. They have dot journals too, like what you're looking for.
I would say Leuchtturm1917 is one of the most popular options for bullet journals though. Here's the link for one A5 dotted I found on Amazon. Link
I ordered these random-brand notebooks on Amazon because they were cheap...turned out to be Lemome brand notebooks, not as well-known or prized as Moleskine or Leuchtturm but still excellent, especially for the price. The paper is quite heavy and I get nearly undetectible ghosting using my fountain pens, and none at all with Tombows/fineliners/other pens.
I can't 100% guarantee that you'll get Lemome notebooks as this listing isn't really for them, but searching around you can find other (albeit more expensive), explicitly branded Lemome notebooks on Amazon if you want to be certain. I'm planning to reorder using that listing myself, I have done so 3 times and gotten the same thing every time.
I bought mine from Amazon, it was the cheapest when i typed in “bullet journal”. Here is a link to the one I bought. (I hope it’s okay to add a link!)
This one from amazon: Minimalism Art, Classic Notebook Journal, A5 Size 5 X 8.3 inches, Black, Dotted Grid Page, 192 Pages, Hard Cover, Fine PU Leather, Inner Pocket, Quali https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M1CP9KE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_5bBEr3f2mezYU
I’ve been using Lemome for about 2 years now. 120gsm (I think it is anyway) FP friendly, nice quality and a damn fine price too.

To me, that's two. When I started reading I immediately thought one because I don't want to carry two, but that's irrelevant, so I really don't see a downside to two. You could keep a traveler's notebook with both in them, but again, I don't think that's necessary in your case.
My first traveler's notebook: https://www.amazon.com/Refillable-Leather-Journal-Travelers-Notebook/dp/B07CNTK4JQ (this will look bulky with two notebooks in it)
Also, 220 pages, 160GSM: https://www.amazon.com/journal-notebook-markers-expandable-perforated/dp/B08FQWY48M/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=IZDSNI7Z9Q1T&keywords=tumbitri+meri&qid=1661424910&sprefix=%2Caps%2C247&sr=8-4
Ok. I see two options, depending on your needs.
Option one is to back things up digitally at home. So, back up your meeting notes so you don't have to migrate them and can search them digitally. I have a digital and analog marriage in my life. The key is never have things in two places, unless you're storing something. The problem with having things in two places is that you have to add everything to both places which is a waste of time. So migrating the notes from a meeting that's over is fine, but if you keep a long term project both in your journal and digitally then you will waste time and possibly miss something. You can also keep your projects digitally and just put notes in your journal throughout the day.
The second is to keep a traveler's notebook. This is a piece of leather or cloth that has strings in it to hold multiple notebooks. This way you can have long term and short term notebooks together. I have this. My original one was $25, but I wanted a nicer one and it was probably $120, but it looks nicer which may or may not be important to you.
My second one is no longer available, this is the creator's website: https://chicsparrow.com/
I still use the inserts from the first one. The second one looks nice, but you can see the edges of the notebooks in the opening. It's not like a sealed purse. People LOVE it though. I get compliments everywhere I go and I would totally take it into an office.
I added the link to my first traveler's notebook. The one I have now is more expensive, good leather and holds more. I use a regular A5 in it so it's chonky. I pick colors that compliment each other so that it's pleasant to look at since it's not neat.
The one I have now is from Chic Sparrow. Her black Fridays are your best option if that's how you want to go.
Price wise it compares pretty reasonably to the offerings from LEUCHTTURM and Moleskin
I've struggled for decades trying to find a system that works for me. I tried all sorts of digital solutions but I realized I need something physical/analog. I have ADHD and the digital solutions fell victim to "out of sight, out of mind."
I recently discovered and have been using a traveler's notebook.
I use a pocket (passport) sized version with a bullet journal type system.
I'm still developing this system, but it does work better than anything else I've tried. I'm also looking into the GTD method.
I loved inspired - the biggest takeaway from me was the '4 big risks' and how product must own value and viability, and UX owns usability risk, and tech owns feasibility. I use this concept a lot at work to draw boundaries, hold other accountable, and mentor new PMs on my team (I find that this is the best way to wrangle in the 'super hero' PM who tries to do everyone's job, without hurting that PM's passion).
Anyways, when I read a book, I expect to find 2-3 good things; I don't expect every page to be filled with wisdom. The only Product/Business book I've found to be an exception is The Hard Thing About Hard Things.
I can thoroughly recommend
You get the leather cover, 3 inserts, craft card, see through zipper pouch, pen holder, pen, brass clip. Four bands lead to the inserts not sticking out. The quality of the leather is superb.
Bought one for our grandson, he loves it.
Every so often it is on sale at £19.00 bought both mine at this price.
It will last for ever.
Here is what I would do if I were in your situation.
If you're wanting to make your own, I would HIGHLY recommend this journal, I've used it every year for 3 years now to help me organize everything in my hectic life.
I don't do all my planning in physical form, but I do like to do some sketching and make notes about ideas in a physical book.
I got this recently, not exactly what you are asking for, but is work for what I want.
I love TNs but it's just another "system" to me. I love it for certain things. I love a stand alone notebook for others. It has been the most consistent thing for me though.
I really like being able to change it up easily in the TN. That insert isn't working, or , I need a notebook for this or that ...bam. Done.
I love being able to really personalise it all.
Amazon have really reasonably priced TNs and refills if you want to try if out. Think I got the TN, inserts, stickers etc and accessories for under £40 and I am still using it fairly often over a year later. So now I'm looking into a more expensive and higher quality one for later in the year when I've saved a little.
Wanderings etc are good. And they still do the one I got for £23. If you want it basic, it has everything you need. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07CNTK4JQ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_1N7Y58ZQTE9QHS26AF5X
BY FAR the best value journal I've found is this one : Dotted Grid Notebook/Journal - Dot Grid Hard Cover Notebook, Premium Thick Paper with Fine Inner Pocket, Black Smooth Faux Leather, 5''×8.25'' https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0797P84CZ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_1Q5S3ARKVWZ9B6D4JYSB?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
It's pages are THICK and I've never had issues with bleeding (I use fountain pens, brush pens, gel pens, and highlighters). You honestly can't beat the price although it's not as fancy as say a leuchtturm and you might not be able to fit a whole year in it but it's honestly such a good notebook you should check it out.
This notebook seemed to be the one featured on one of the Ironsworn/Kickstarter posts that I have seen:
