Funny, I just watched this documentary that features both Dr. Longo and Dr. Dorff. It's on Amazon prime if anyone wants to watch it for free. They come on in the last 15-20 minutes of the documentary. The beginning can feel a little budget at times.

I recommend watching The science of fasting for research Amazon Prime
:) It's prolly this or something like it. https://www.amazon.com/Science-Fasting-Sylvie-Gilman/dp/B075824XCB
Let's be open to new ideas. As long as it doesn't involve drinking bleach, I am for checking it out.
I spent a few moments looking for a decent source on the Russian fasting clinics and their history but nothing seems great.
I think I got the idea from the documentary "The Science of Fasting" which I'm sure is riddled with bro-science fluff. It's on Amazon prime, if you'd like.
Loved the advice! For cardio I’m currently doing a workout on Amazon prime titled Edge workout Shotokan Karate-Do . It has a bit of bullshit but instead of doing hooks I do empi. Instead of uppercuts I do age uke. And I do combinations from kata (yoko geri-empi) or sanban tsuki/gyaku sanban tsuki.
I used to practice with a dojo friend on Sundays when the dojo was open and we kind of know how to run a practice session. We just do a warmup comprised of running, running with knees up and heels up. Jumping jacks, bouncing, twisting and then stretching. After the warmup we do the belt testing kihon, Kumite and kata. It also keeps us on track for the next belt testing.
Lately I’ve been trying to mostly work on kicks. There’s a video I’ve been referring to for kicks karate by Jesse kick video the only downside is that you need a partner.
Well, this turned into a reply to an amazing suggestion and I added my own suggestions to OP.
OSS!
Darn, looks like you still haven't grown up.
Maybe give THIS a watch and see if it helps?
It's easier than you imagine now at this point in time.
Literally, just stop eating.
I know that sounds idiotic, condescending, and oversimplified, but I truly mean it.
If you look at modern society, it's all wrong w.r.t. food. Look at fasting - literally not eating.
All that means is that your body is in a state of ketosis and using fat and ketones for fuel frequently v.s. modern society which is constant eating and never being truly hungry.
Habits I've recently broken that I was chained to for a while:
Used to cave into getting mochas, caramel macchiatos, cinnamon dolces, vanilla lattes constantly. Now it's always a decaf latte. (Sue me - I stay under 50 carbs/day instead of 20, but never get keto flu anymore since I always add plenty of electrolytes to my diet)
Used to eat 3 meals a day a while ago. Then skipped breakfast for quite a while. Now it's almost always one meal a day. It's so much easier than you'd ever think, once you stick to it (it takes weeks to become fat adapted, and it takes weeks to form new habits)

Hey a bit late to this party but it would be great if you checked out this report:
https://news.usc.edu/103972/fasting-like-diet-turns-the-immune-system-against-cancer/
There has been farily significant evidence that is you fast for 48-72 hours before your chemo, your cells turn on a protective mode and the cancer cells become more damaged by the chemo.
This is not some Dr Oz "Cure cancer!!" thing but from the director of the USC Longevity Institute in S California.
