I do not own one or ever used one but I seen this one on YouTube it's a homemade build https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KR4MNMB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_c4hyFbAMVEHWT https://www.harborfreight.com/6-ton-a-frame-bench-shop-press-1666.html You can upgrade frame if I want aslo I heard keif wasn't great on press I heard nice moise but will give most yeild back use humidifier packs on ur bud before u press
This could be cut into three 9 x 4 inch pieces, and used to rub over a putty repair, back and forth while it sets, and you wouldn’t have to make 9 different molds for all the trim.
Thank you, I guess I will bite the bullet and get one just in case. I could only find one transformer unit that isn't a big bulky cube and has a high enough capacity. Can you tell me if it looks "suspicious" to you? I wonder if it will be reliable given the slim profile. https://www.amazon.com/120V-100V-Converter-appliances-Certified%EF%BC%BD/dp/B07L57MTF6/
I use this and do 5G pucks for the NS Mini with a lot of bag room to spare.. I just always do 5 in 1 out avg.
I suspect I could use something like this, just not sure what the current / wattage requirements are for the module...
A bit annoying, but you can run that off of one of these transformers. The motor is universal, so it doesn't care about the 50Hz/60Hz issue.

This is the one example I have in mind https://rightbud.com/products/fvrosintech-rollie-20-ton-driptech-portable-rosin-press?variant=31388129198136
I purchased this for an overseas move. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078H1X1VK/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_2PGBYK3NVV6C5KDQ9JKK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
You can get it in several configurations according to where you are going.
Honestly, I decided against the move, but I saw something similar in use while I was visiting and advised to buy one. All the best!
For that go price go with the dabpress for sure. There are alot of people here that use them that can attest to them, but if thats your price range id go with this for sure
Get a dabpress. I got my 6 ton bottle jack press for about $400. Only thing it’s missing is a pressure gauge. They make nice machines for significantly lower than nugsmasher prices.
That was the advice i was given multiple times on r/rosin
For what it's worth I made the same mistake. Works perfectly for me with a 2000watt 240v-120v step down converter. Seems to need ≈1400watts at peak for the suction motor. This is the transformer I'm using: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078H1X1VK?ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details&th=1 You'd probably get away with a 1500w transformer.
Yeah you need a pre press bro. Something like this one, feel free to dm me I’ll send you some pics and pointers. Right now you are just wasting flowers.

Very fine screen. I think one of those press bags for dabs would do it if you just poured it in and shook it through.
Disclaimer: never tried it, just makes sense in my head.
No prob! Pretty much any cylindrical pre-press mold will do. I use this one made by dabpress.
As for filter bags, there are a number of options. The Press Club is my go-to brand. Here's their amazon storefront. I find that 160 micron is perfect for bud, though some use 120 or even 90. For pressing kief or hash you'd want something more around 25-50 micron.
edit: One more tip, maybe grab a 300psi hand clamp by Irwin (or other similar brand) to really crank down on the pre-press mold. Makes a noticeable difference imo.
Thank you for taking the time to read and respond u/Shiny_Buns and u/TheyAreNotMyMonkeys! I have the espresso machine and grinder plugged into the step up converter (it has 2 outlets), the converter plugged into a regular kitchen outlet.
The converter remains plugged in to the outlet. When I want to use them, I switch on the converter, then switch on the espresso machine (begins to heat, takes 15 mins). The grinder is activated by a pressure button, no on/off. Then switch off coffee machine, then converter. Been doing this for a year without problems.
Not sure if that helps? :-) So would I be ok to add the Smart Plug between the wall outlet and the converter plug? Actually...I just realized that the converter needs a manual "on" button press, so the Smart Plug might not even work!!

This is the one I got, currently says it unavailable 🤦🏽♂️
Been scouting purchasing a dab press for over a year now. Had to make a post and share some recent price drops in hopes it will persuade and help other users.
Have seen really good reviews and builds with this combo, using the 3x5" DIY Dabpress plates paired with the Canadian tire 10ton Mastercraft shop press ( comes w/ hand pump and pressure gauge ).
Currently the NEW 3x5" DIY Dabpress plate kit is sitting at an all time low, selling for $269.00 on Amazon (6 left in stock).
The 10 ton Mastercraft shop press from Canadian tire JUST went on sale today, for $229.99 from $349.99.
If I hadn't known and seen this post I know I'd be allll over it. Hoping this will help other users, and everyone has a good weekend ✌

12 Ton press(this one is only in-store but it at least gives you an idea)

•You can find articles explaining how to put a press like this together as well as images on Google showing them completed. But the Amazon page for the plates should pretty much cover it.
Hey u/simmiauto I know this thread is 2 months old, but the only C words I say are "cock" and "cunt." Would you mind lending me your wisdom?
I'm tired of the yields from my girlfriend's hair straightener, and am looking to move up in the rosin world. Do you have a preferred model of frame from HFT that I should use?
If my math is correct, the final PSI would be the (Total Pressure/Surface Area) correct? So if I mounted these plates to a 10-ton frame, I'd have 20,000lbs/15in = 1,333PSI? Is there a recommended PSI for pressing flower? Additionally, I'm assuming 1g/inch is a decent packing density. I wouldn't anticipate pressing more than 7-14g of flower/kief at a time. Would a 10-ton frame be overkill, or do I need exceptionally high pressure in addition to heat?
