Unfortunately, the information you received from your friend is most likely wrong. MLM reps are not the most informed sources when it comes to EOs. In fact, most of the things they believe are just plain wrong. Please do yourself a favor and get your information away from companies like doTerra and Young Living and the reps.
Get yourself a book like this one:

Important part of keeping electrolytes up is ensuring adequate magnesium intake. Magnesium deficiency is extremely common and the usual serum testing of blood for magnesium is not accurate for detecting tissue magnesium deficiencies. There is an interesting little book written by Jay Cohen,MD, a leading pharmacologist, on using magnesium to treat hypertension:

Obstructive sleep apnea can promote significant high blood pressure. Many who lose significant weight find they no longer need CPAP at some point. Would likely be important to verify that obstructive sleep apnea is no longer an issue by running overnight pulse oximetry in some sort of recording mode so that the oxygen saturation graph overnight can be viewed. Significant desaturations and a sawtooth appearance of the oxygen saturation graph from overnight could indicate continued obstructive sleep apnea, a cause of hypertension. It may be that there is sometimes loose or saggy tissue left in the airway after weight loss that may firm more over time and this might be a continued source of obstructive sleep apnea for a while. May depend on the individual anatomy.
These days even some fitness watches have a pulse oximetry function and sleep study mode that can be used to get some idea whether obstructive sleep apnea is still a problem.
Did you ever get tested for high levels of candida? I would cycle between yeast and bv. I did a candida cleanse and it really helped.

Avoid essential oils as they can aggravate rosacea prone skin. I can recommend A Wild Soap Bar (AWSB) honey oat soap. Peet Rivko has most of their containers in glass (regular size not travel size) and Grounded Sage have mostly glass jars/containers. (They are closed July because they are moving locations.) Also check out places like Package Free Shop, Earth Hero, and etsy. They have alot of zero waste/vegan alternatives if you can't find something suitable at your local refillery. I've hear some folks have good results from plain unscented liquid castile such as Dr. Bronner but it always dried my skin out. Also brand Yay For Earth has a good sensitive skin face lotion. (They may have beeswax.) Meow meow tweet has some good stuff as well but they use essential oils so double check ingredients. Linear Beauty is also a good one but sometimes their face oil makes my skin red. Also this book if you want to diy it:

Almost forgot: oras amazing herbal has a fair amount in glass containers or recyclable cardboard etc. (Their salves and body powder.) Their face cleansing powder I think is plastic. Also this book has been great for some diy zero/low waste skin care: (Skincare bible if you will)
