YOU CAN DO THIS!! All you need is: a drill 3/4 diamond drillbit (for glass) link Grommets for connecting down stem to bottle link Lastly downstems of different sizes.
You can simply buy a ship in a bottle or any other bottle to make as many bongs as you want. I personally make bongs out of any glass bottle I have lying around. Plus when they get dirty take out the Down stem and recycle it. 10/10 Recommend
I bought it off Amazon. It was 8 dollars, I can link it once I get to a computer. And I put it in the highest speed.
Edit: Here is the link
3/4” glass drill bit from amazon for $8 or $9.
I’ve wanted to make one of these since high school, and if you’re on the fence, just get a drill and bit. They’re useful to have around and you can get a corded drill for $20. There just isn’t another good way or safe way to get holes in glass.

That is from the Legrand WMC801 kit. Here is a smaller plate. https://www.amazon.com/DATACOMM-ELECTRONICS-45-0006-WH-Hole-Plate/dp/B00Z8LMILK You may also be able to get a 3D print of a grommet done. https://thangs.com/search/wall%20grommet%20recessed?scope=all
Those small holes at the bottom aren't doing much.
You need a much bigger hole-- a 120mm hole saw would be ideal (cover it up with mesh or similar), though a Dremel (or any rotary tool) with the right cutting disc (and a bit of practice) would also work.
No problem. Also while at it, for $30 it's not perfect, but this will help cut the speaker holes and make less of a mess https://www.amazon.com/Adjustable-Hole-Klein-Tools-53731/dp/B00529WW6O
This! Make the plywood big enough you can clamp it securely to an edge, and you are good to go. Use 1/2 - 3/4 inch thick material so there is little chance of bouncing out of the guide hole.
I would use a low speed hollow core diamond bit with water instead of solid bit. You are physically cutting away less stone, and going slow and keeping it from overheating with the water.
Here is an example (one of many) - https://www.amazon.com/Drilax174-Diamond-Granite-Porcelain-Bathroom/dp/B010W1KZL0
Then have a helper spray water with a spray bottle as you cut.
They make adjustable hole saws you can use on the ceiling. Keeps dust down.

Those Hues look like retrofit. So they most likely are supposed to screw into a can light. Use what the other poster recommended.
A diamond hole bit will fix that. I use one (½") I got several years ago, and it's still going strong after more than 50 holes. I like to use mugs, teacups, and other assorted pottery for my plants. Thrift stores and yard sales provide the materials. There are plenty of YouTube videos to demonstrate technique. Basically use water to lubricate and cool. Start at an angle. Take your time.

I got this set a couple of years ago, it's just over $20 now. It does an okay job for the smaller holes, but the bigger ones take an eternity. I paid nearly the same amount for a standalone 6" hole saw to cut cornhole board holes and the difference is like night and day.
Buy an inexpensive 1/2" diamond hole bit on Amazon. There are tons of YouTube videos to show how to do it. Don't put rocks at the bottom. Mix perlite and succulent/cactus soil together. Water when the plant shows signs of thirst, then water until it runs from the drainage hole.

Your ceiling, as-is, will not safely support any type of swing. The way those tray ceilings are constructed they're not structural at all. I have one and I won't even walk on it in the attic, I personally don't understand how it stays up since the 2x4's don't extend all the way across but I'm sure smarter people than me know the answer to that.
If I was doing something similar I would go into the attic and build a proper support structure there. You would then drill through the ceiling and into the support structure and attach the switch to the structure using something like this: https://www.amazon.com/DATACOMM-ELECTRONICS-45-0006-WH-Hole-Plate/dp/B00Z8LMILK/ so it would clean up the access point.
> Do you think there would be a way to modify the bottom to add some intake fans?
Dremel, or any suitable rotary tool.
120mm hole saw, like this one, or better.
Enlighten me on your adjustable hole saw, please. Looks much less terrifying to use than this abomination

2 inch grommit
Run the cables through the hole and manage away.
Get this cutting tool https://www.amazon.com/Adjustable-Hole-Klein-Tools-53731/dp/B00529WW6O size it for the hole you need to cut based on existing holes. Side benefit is easier cleanup too.
I got this set with variable sizes for less than 1 hole saw at the big box stores. I don't remember which size but this will have what you need.

I got this set of various sizes from amazon and its cheaper than one circular bit at a big box store. It will have the size you need.

This one on Amazon has a pretty beefy cutter tip and the replacement blades are on the same page. I’ve not used it but it seems to be well received.
> Just spray it out, drill a little, spray it out, etc. Ceramic bits don't like to be gunked up with the dust, and water helps. The bit I have is about 3/4 inch, I've never tried starting small and widening. There are different types of bits for different types of tile/stone/etc, but mine look like this: > > https://www.amazon.com/Amico-Diamond-Tipped-Metal-Ceramic/dp/B00880CFJS
Okay that would do the job!! Gah I was going to do a single, large center hole with my angle-grinder (and put steel mesh over that) as I've got a plant needing re-potting and really want to use this one if possible, I wonder if I can find a bit like that locally am going to have to make some calls!
I was thinking you'd start out with 1/8" bits and then work your way up, boring bigger holes each time- if there's a 'doorknob'-type bit for ceramic that'd be ideal for me, would put a ton of 3/4" holes and call it a day! Time to see what local shops have because if I can't buy locally I'll probably just use the angle-grinder as I want to re-pot this guy right while he's starting to flower (right now is 3 days into setting flower buds)

This is most likely the answer. I purchased this in order to give it a shot. But forever reason it scares the hell out of me. The circles range from 1 inch to 2 inches. There are roughly 50 to cut, and they increment linearly by about 1/32.
Awesome. I Used this to cut the holes to fit the k cups exactly where I wanted them to sit. I wanted them to sit a little higher so I can easily grab them.

there is a circle cutter like this one but you will want a drill press capable of pretty slow speeds if you use that. I've heard horror stories about them coming loose and flying across the shop. I own one, but have never actually tried it out. mainly out of fear...
You mean like one of these? Might pick one up if you say they are better.
