Good on you mate! If you do return a drill brush will make your life a lot easier.
If you're not feeling like the elbow grease these work wonders
Yes, I love mine. There is a smaller one if you want to be precise, a bigger flat one to clean larger areas. The one shown in the video and an extension if you really need to get into those deep tight areas.
I love this tool for anything that requires scrubbing :

Different colors mean different things. Black is stiffer than red, red is stiffer than yellow, etc. i think white is the appropriate color for carpet, but i could be incorrect.
If it’s just the water line try a pumice stone like this one it WILL work. I know it seems weird and like it’ll mess it up but it won’t!
Just an FYI that if you search for “Drill Brush” on Amazon (or anywhere else) then you’ll probably find a better deal. It was one of the first things I got when I bought my Ryobi drill and it’s very handy.
Here’s one example:
Drill Brush Attachment Set - Power Scrubber Brush Cleaning Kit - All Purpose Drill Brush with Extend Attachment for Bathroom Surfaces, Grout, Floor, Tub, Shower, Tile, Corners, Kitchen and Car https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BV8MQBT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_gjp4EbYB64ZGH

It’s a magic eraser on steroids for hard surfaces.
Buy two, and the second one will take callouses off your feet better than the pumice stones you get in the Heath and body isle

We have the thermal one and just use a bottle brush to clean it like this one OXO Good Grips Bottle Brush https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00004OCLJ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_8V06ZQYWP2TE9ZDQ9ERE?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Hold it by the handle and scrub to your hearts content, takes about 10 seconds. When I start to see discoloration, I'll toss in some cafiza, fill it with water, and let it sit for ten minutes before scrubbing it, comes out good as new.
Might as well throw in what I got as well.
Cleaning supplies I use for my pieces:
I also try to have a bottle for used ISO and a bottle for clean ISO. You can reuse the used ISO a good bit to cut down on waste and cost of cleaning. I also change out my water a couple of times a day; it helps keep the piece clean and the bud tasting good.
and some Spray cleaner will clean up a shower really good and will get the soap scum and mildew off quick. Just attach it to a drill.
Forget elbow grease! I’ve used these on old penny round and hexagon floors and it definitely beats going it by hand!

I got a couple from West Elm a few years ago and they've held up nicely. I clean them with a little brush like this from Amazon
I use this power scrubber attachment with my cordless drill to clean my porcelain bathtub. The bristles are plastic, so I haven't had any problems with scratching.
I don’t think so. They are just brushes with drill attachments so I’d think they would all be about the same. This is the one I got.
So what you are seeing is steel residue, not scratches, you can remove them with one of these.

I collect vintage Corningware and nearly the same thing happens from cheap knives being used on the Pyroceram/ceramic, It's actually metal deposits sticking to the ceramic.
I use this:

Has 2 ends, a brush and a silicon tip to get into the nooks and crannies. Werkz gud bruh!
Do you have a power drill? Get yourself a set of these: https://www.amazon.com/Scrubber-Cleaning-Extended-Attachment-Revolver/dp/B07G7XG6BV/ref=sr_1_2?crid=2AAXX2BESDH4S&keywords=brush+drill&qid=1664054092&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI0LjIxIiwicXNhIjoiMy45OCIsInFzcCI6IjMuNzYifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=brush+dri...
I use the same ones in my bathroom with some Ajax and water. Scrubs all that grime off without much effort on my part.
Don't use cotton swabs either, if they snag on anything you'll just add a bunch of cotton fiber to the mess. Use flexible straw cleaning brushes, they are perfect for getting into tight corners.
One thing that might help - I bought one of those power drill bits that’s a scrub brush (like this one) and it made mince meat out of my bathroom cleaning situation!
Amazon link This is not the set I got, but after I saw this one I was able to search my local hardware and car accessories stores and find one I could buy in person.
