BE WARNED: I own one, finding a front sight post was nearly fucking impossible because of it's stupid gas block height, there isn't a riser on the market that will allow a normal sight post to get up to the same equivalent height as the main upper rail. You won't be able to find a flip up sight or anything that will be the proper height with the rear sight.
The only sight I found that works is an A2 style front post on amazon and it's not perfect but it's the only thing out there that does it. DPMS really ought to either start shipping irons with these or just use a normal height gas block ffs.
A small dab of toothpaste or shaving cream on the inside of the lenses, then buffed off, will prevent this. Also, Cat Crap is awesome.
Cat crap. It’s sold at Walmart or online. Me and several other guys been using it for years.

They also sale it in a spray, but I find this works better.
Also if you can wear contacts, that’s the best option there is.
Yup. I found an extended front sight on Amazon. I'll try to find it again.
Edit: I think this is it. SNIPER Mil Spec Standard AR-15 Front Sight with A2 Sight Post https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008L6BCIO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Uwphzb6PRVC8B

Ignore that it's an amazon link for most of these. I cant find the original product links. So rip bezos
That one has a comb that should be better than just a net.
I bought a rail adapter tha NC Star makes. Works pretty good.
OK.. I don't think that I have been much of a revolver fan.. Until THIS! This is absolutely amazing, gorgeous and the low bore WITH a picatinny?! I can see this being added.. JUST sayin!
Mako Universal Picatinny Rail Mount Fits Most Pistols Th... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004O6CDV0/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awdb_imm_TT0ZNDAC10KGY88NMMHP
This!!!!! It's easy enough to get a rms to picatinny adapter.. You don't need a holster, anyways! It's been in my cart for my build! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004O6CDV0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_TT0ZNDAC10KGY88NMMHP
I have used this stuff for years. Called "cat crap" it's a paste that you apply to the interior side of the glasses. If you actually want to buy a lot, get it by the case from the manufacturer, half as much direct from them.
https://www.amazon.com/Mako-Universal-Picatinny-Mount-Pistols/dp/B004O6CDV0
This is not advised. Pistol optic need to be stronger to withhold the recoil since the slide moves fast when firing and creates a lot of inertia. When shooting on an at they arnt whipping back and forth on a slide. So to answer you question, yes but you really shouldn’t
I bought the front sight from amazon and same for the flip up sight
I typically get anti glare coatings on my lenses but I've never heard of anti fog for regular glasses. I'm also in the camp that pretty much always wears contacts to the gym and regret it any time I don't.
If you want to keep the glasses, you could look into applying your own anti fog coating. A runner friend uses some stuff called "cat crap" that he said works pretty well except in super cold temps. No, I'm not joking on the name of the stuff - Amazon link for cat crap.

this one is pretty good. the pic mount for it sits lower than the others. i buy at least 2 tho as it only comes with 1 mount
Cat crap, scope dope.. it's a coating that can be applied to glass. Generally for scopes or binoculars.
You can mount a plastic magpul MOE picatinny rail section onto the top flat portion of the handguard. Then use an offset light mount. You’ll probably have to file the corners a little bit to fit properly, but it’s plastic so that’s no sweat. Then the screws bolt through the holes on the top of your handguard. Probably the least expensive option
If you are talking about hard mounting a pic rail section, then no. There are adaptors that index off the trigger guard and essentially clamp onto the gun that will give you a mounting surface for lights and lasers. Bear in mind if you're using a kydex holster or any holster made for that specific pistol it will no longer fit. Example is below.

Get one of these. Brass catcher
Buying a tradtional sling mount caldwell bipod and a mlok bipod mount is almost as QD, much slicker and far cheaper. Magpul M-LOK Bipod Mount https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ORZEQZY/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_K860D8PV97R47XF6KETH
Sounds like you need one of these. Holds close to 150 empty cases, and the mount is super low profile so it'll slide right under your scope if you have one. Chasing down brass wastes valuable shooting time!
The caldwell one just looked cheap and flimsy, so I've been using this catcher with good results. Holds around 120 - 150 rounds, so you don't have to empty it often while shooting. And the picatinny rail mount is very low profile so it'll fit easily under a scope.
Worries me that I've never seen anyone with this but seems a really easy way to fix an expensive problem lol
You could also try a magnetic holster, or something like this and use a belt clip. (That one obviously wont work but the concept seems sound in my head.)
I have several Caldwell bags (the pic rail types) and they've definitely had their issues. I've had to have Caldwell replace multiple bags because the blass would just blow a hole straight through them (on multiple different guns, and no not ridiculously overgassed or anything). Their rail mount is also so big that it interferes with a lot of different scope mounts I've used.
I ended up finding this instead:
https://www.amazon.com/TacStar-Industries-1081240-Catcher-Picatinny/dp/B07BGK8P7T
It uses a more solid material and never seen any sign of damage to it. The rail mount is also flush to the rail so is FAR more compatible with scope mounts.
However, I do like the look of this Brass Goat one. I'll have to get one and give it a try.
I went for this but starting to think twice
Monstrum Side Saddle Shell Holder for Mossberg 500/590/Shockwave Series Shotguns https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WHN74TW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_C2CR7AYC6C89HKK8B486?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I picked up one of these years ago. https://www.amazon.ca/TacStar-Industries-1081240-Catcher-Picatinny/dp/B07BGK8P7T/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=brass+catcher&qid=1629767829&sr=8-4
I see amazon sells something similar for half the money so it might be even more palatable.
They are great. Magnetically attached so it is easy to take off and on. I got tired of trying to pick up all my rounds in the grass so I grabbed one of these.
Cat crap seriously, that's the name of the company. They have a great lens cleaner that works pretty well with fogging. I got it at the optical department at Walmart https://www.amazon.com/EK-USA-Multi-Use-Anti-Fog-Spray/dp/B072Z7M7RX
I've been looking at this one for a bit. Haven't pulled the trigger (so to speak) on it, but this seems like the thread to get opinions from people. It would be going on a 500.
Putting a rail on the frame is going to be a custom job, no two ways around that. There are trigger-guard mounted rails, but aren't too solid/stable in my experience
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0058DC00W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_SDP9H5QV3EAHZAHCDYXE
As for swapping the barrel, most any will fit, but they really aren't going to be "drop-in"; they'll still need to be fit, at least a minor amount. Would have to see your specific model to say which style of ramp it's cut for, but it'll either be a GI ramp or a Para/Clark style of ramp (I've seen them with both)
Triggers, mag catches, and grips are specific to the Para style of double stack 1911. Safety, slide stop, grip safety, and the rest of the internal frame parts are standard 1911 components
Cat Crap works ok. It helps with fog but big drops can still get stuck:
If there's foam around the rim of your goggles, tear it out to improve air flow. If you wear a hat while playing, turn it backwards so there's no bill blocking air. Do your best to leave space if you're wearing a helmet. If one is made for your goggles, buy thermal pane lenses.

If all else fails, buy some cat crap.
