Sterifab is what exterminators use for bedbugs. Ideal treatment is to spray once a week for three or four weeks.
This stuff is hostile to life as we know it. Including people. You need to wear a mask and/or take frequent breaks. If you get short of breath or light headed go all the way outside, not just in another room. You need to air the place out after you spray (even if it's cold) and you need to keep pets and children away until it is completely and totally dry.
Move all your furniture about a foot away from the wall and spray around all the baseboards, under all your dressers and such, and spray your beds and chairs, too. All the little nooks and crannies they like to hide in.
edit: Dry/wash/dry all your clothes and bedclothes at the same time. Anything you can't wash, seal up in garbage bags for a month or more. (If you just wash them first, the bugs will just crawl above the water. Dryers will kill the living ones, then you can wash and dry them to remove any eggs.)
I dont think this is the sub you’re looking for...
However I’ve had issues with bugs before, get a good barrier like Ortho Home Defense Max Indoor Insect Barrier: With Extended Reach Comfort Wand, Pest Control, No Stains, Starts to Kill Ants, Roaches, Spiders, Fleas and Ticks Fast, 1 gal https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WHJW3FR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fab_OG7FFbQEE0V4R and your problems will probably go away
Love it, but I'mma be a debbie downer for a hot second---did you treat it with anything before bringing it inside? Bugs (bedbugs, roaches etc) will absolutely hang out in that kind of material.
I'm a REALLY big fan of SteriFab, which is technically for upholstery but would work for this, too. My dad used to be the manager of a furniture store warehouse, and when furniture got repossesed, that's what they would use to treat it before putting it in the 2nd hand sale room.
I used sterifab on everything I bought second hand when I was living in DC b/c there was kind of a bad bedbug problem going around, and we never got them :)
Here's the 2 products I used last year to get rid of them: Raid Foaming Spray
First i vacuumed EVERYTHING. In my case they were on my headboard and I actually had to take the bedframe apart since these bastards were hiding in the tiniest crevices. Then I sprayed everything with the Raid Foaming Spray. After I let that dry I sprinkled the cimexa powder in every corner and around the bed. I suggest wearing mask. Also a Powder Duster makes it easier to apply. My understanding is that the chemicals in these 2 products are used by professional exterminators. I've seen some people suggest Diatomaceous Earth. The problem is that it takes many hours to kill the bug once the bug comes into contact with it. The Cimexa kills them much faster.
Had the same exact issue. Sprayed the living shit out of the baseboards, both inside and outside with this spray you can get on Amazon. I only ever see a living spider once every few months now.
My niece had problems in her home before covid. She thinks her kids friends might have brought them in but who knows. But I feel for you just knowing what she went through. I know she used this product (EcoVenger Bed Bug Killer) and had great success. It took several treatments (used full strength in a spray bottle), but she managed to rid them completely. I know she sprayed everything and every nook and cranny and it worked. A bonus is that it is also non toxic. It is made from a natural oil called neem. I know she bought hers from Amazon, but other retailers might also sell it. Good luck!!

You're not responsible for buying them anything, and they certainly don't need to buy new stuff. Even IF you were responsible they would legally have a duty to mitigate damages and treating is almost always cheaper than throwing out and buying new.
They can launder all clothing like normal keeping it secluded in trash bags and it will kill them by the end of the dry cycle.
The objects like suitcase, pack and play. It simply gets wiped down with a product such as Eco Raider and let it sit for a while and then it can be wiped down, cleaned, and used again like normal. You ddont even need to use ecolab.
However, folks who are expecting you to replace luggage, are already being irrational and youre probably going to have bad luck explaining there is no reason to throw things out. Folks lose their mind when it comes to bedbugs a lot of the time and their expectations...well, they are not necessary and they wont like being told their feelings on what they want are unreasonable and won't be met.
Ive self dealt with 2 bed bug situations at my place in the last ten years.

Try temprid! Or this raid spray it has the same in ingredients raid foaming sprayas crossfire but it has to be this one not any of the other raid products
This is what I used to get rid of them:
Raid Bed Bug Foaming Spray, For Indoor Use, Non-Staining, 16.5 Oz, Pack of 1 https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07GXHV9VL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_41A1Z3P4K420GA6HMDAD?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I’d spray their nests, areas they might be coming from/ hiding, and a perimeter all the way around the side and top edge of the mattress and invite them to dinner! Also joints in wooden furniture and any furniture people were getting bit.
I’d say I went through 2-3 cans and the last one was for hitting any stragglers. Gave the last of it to my son’s mom for their apartment.
Years ago I moved into a place that had roaches. A flying one even woke me up one night cause it was so big I could hear it moving around. I got this that same night off Amazon and it worked great. Works for spiders too. I will say that when I first sprayed a bunch of spiders came out of hiding but after the second spray around my place it was rare to see them
First thing to do is seal up any cracks or crevices where the bugs can enter the apartment. Also use a clear caulk on the baseboards if there are any exposed spaces, no matter how tiny.
Get all beds and furniture steam cleaned (if possible) and treated. Use mattress covers. Get the carpet steam cleaned, too. This kills the live bugs.
Buy this: https://www.amazon.com/EcoRaider-Killer-Non-toxic-Extended-Protection/dp/B00FTWO27G. It's expensive, but it works. Depending on the size of the apartment, you'll need at least three, possibly more. It works by killing both bugs and eggs, and disrupting the breeding cycle.
Vacuum the entire apartment, spray everywhere, even inside drawers and closets. Move all furniture away from walls and spray, spray, spray.
Wash all clothes, sheets, blankets, anything that's been exposed, in hot water and dry on high heat for at least 30 minutes. You will need to do this weekly for a couple of months.
Repeat steps as necessary. (Except the beds; they only need to be done once. The covers will keep the bugs from reinfesting the mattresses. Make sure to change and wash bedding often, though, so they don't bite your dad or anyone else.
Use diatomaceous earth along baseboards, behind furniture and under beds. If you vacuum a lot (and you may have to), remember to put more down.
Clean out the vacuum thoroughly every time you use it. If it has a dust cup, wash it and clean the filters. Empty dust cup contents into a bag separate from the rest of the trash, tie it off and take it out immediately. When you're done with treatment, retire the vacuum.
Did this exact thing in a studio apartment. The bugs were complately gone after six weeks and never came back. Hope it works for you.
Get peppermint spray and spray the entire inside of the bus including every gap and open space to the walls etc...
They hate it. They will leave.
Mighty Mint 16oz Peppermint Oil Rodent Repellent Spray https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HYP6D5C/
Unfortunately, when you live in an apartment, yours can be spotless and if the bugs are in someone else's, they'll migrate into your space as well and there isn't too much you can do about it. However, I've tried nearly every pesticide under the sun, and some work better than others. This one works by far the best, and lasts the longest. Raid Bug Barrier. It may not keep them all out, but it will definitely minimize the problem.
Just buy some spray and treat the house. All the instructions are right there on the package.
I treat my home and several rental properties with the below stuff and we have never has nay issues. You can buy that stuff anywhere.

Just to give an update, my room is under 24hr heat treatment. Not sure how effective it’ll be. I’d be using eco raider spray https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0077CPANQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_6tFmFbS2Q5YWT to be on safer side. Is this spray effective?
Ortho 205408 16Oz Crk and Crev Ins Killer, 16 oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071S88VPT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_OHlNCbD15XH0D
Try spraying this once a week in your kitchen. I tried many different things and this was the only thing that worked. Also try and seal your unit as much as you can.
