Everyone is giving you crazy answers.
Get some q-tips and Bestine. For cards that are just a little dirty, you can use just a tiny bit of distilled water but, that always has risks.
A tiny bit of Bestine will not impact the card at all so if you're careful, it will look great. I used it to clean my grim tutors a few years back.
This is a very old hack. Been around for 3 years or more. You could also use a conductive pen to draw a line between those two terminals. Like this one from Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/Circuit-Scribe-Non-Toxic-Conductive-Silver/dp/B00OZATJ3A/
Just wanna put it out there that these guys are $24 on Amazon at the moment, so it may need to be adjusted to sell quick. GLWS OP!
It was actually my first fountain pen, and I was originally so let down by how it wrote that I was turned off for a while. Once I dug deeper and decided to try the converter, it helped a lot and now I have a few other pens as well. The converter I found on Amazon. It's still a thicker line but usable to me now. I would recommend a "dryer" ink for the Cross. Like I said, I used Quink and it works nicely in it. There are plenty others though.
To add to that long list. Kaco G2 is a nice gel, and probably the cheapest option. Easyflow 9000 is a hybrid ballpoint.
Not sure this is what you need but I really like these for coverage: https://www.amazon.com/Pentel-Pocket-Brush-Refills-GFKP3BPA/dp/B002LJRKN8
I use Sakura pens for detailing and this brush pen for filling in large areas.
Correct. The 2 that are left take Parker sized Ballpoint refills, and ship with 1 Schmidt EasyFlow 9000 cartridge. For info, Amazon 6 Pack - Schmidt easyFLOW 9000 - Black Ink https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0025ZX11S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_0S4G7AZDND6MSAYSBJAR
since I do see a bit of pad left over you could also, buy a circuit pen like this one and redraw you circuit:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OZATJ3A/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_SJ1BQQFVHWS5959NVCE3
Interesting that it says Jotter as that's not a jotter, that's a GT or other cap actuated pen. Doublecheck what refill it's using now, should be a Parker style G2. Could go with gel or hybrid ballpoint.
The thing to do is upload to imgur or something and post the link.
That's a generic plastic Parker G2 style refill. Cheapest per refill would be Kaco G2, a nice gel. Can also look at Schmidt P900 ballpoint or Easyflow 9000m hybrid. That form factor has a wide variety of options.
Copics are good, I like PITT art pens which come in different tip sizes, and I think my favorite to play with would be brush pens. If you go on Amazon, you'll see the Pentel version, which is fairly cheap and if you work delicately you can get some neat thin lines, as well as vary your pressure for different line weights. It uses cartridges, which you can buy seperately and inexpensively.
Get you some Bestine!!! This goes to all the parents out there too...
Rubber cement thinner you can get at Michael's and such... very easy on skin compared to all others and will take down any glue if left to soak long enough. On these it should work near instantly.
Won't work on anything like super-glue or epoxy, or anything that chemically bonds(like pvc glue on pvc), but all the stickers that won't come off packages you want to reuse, the stickers your kid stuck all over the car, the left over glue from 3M sticky hangers... no fuckin problem. And I haven't found anything it eats through like other solvents... pretty sure I've used it on foam before with no problem(and foam melts for ANYTHING).
Thanks so much! I found doing gesture drawings have really loosened up my strokes: https://youtu.be/74HR59yFZ7Y
Then I would say just try not to think about what or how you are drawing if that makes. I used to have a very rigid way of laying down my strokes due to overthinking and not being confident and that energy does really come through. I try to get the image down as fast and almost as violently I can.
Do ugly sketches everyday. I know this is what everyone says but it's the truth. But not everything has to be a work of art. I really tried to suspend that belief when I started posting these types of drawings to social media.
Invest in some ink pens and especially ink brush pens : https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pentel-Pocket-Brush-Refills-GFKP3BPA/dp/B002LJRKN8
And lastly I would say just have fun. I know for me if it's not fun I won't do it lol.
Standard Parker G2 form factor. These gel refills are the least expensive, nice gel. These low viscosity ballpoint ballpoint aka hybrid are also nice if you write on glossy or other stuff gels are less good at.
From my 1 day of research, the two refills that seem to be the most recommended are the Schmidt Easyflow 9000, or the Fisher Space Pen refills
I would like to try both one day, dunno which one people here would recommend?
I actually bought the pen just yesterday, and replaced the standard blue Quinkflow with a black Quinkflow refill
I'm only super new to the pen world, but my short amount of research suggested that the Schmidt Easyflow 9000 was a really good option. Does anyone have any experience with these refills?
Thank you!
I'm using regular printer paper with the sketches & frames printed with light blue ink (usually I draw with this blue pencil, but I forgot it at home), and the Pental Arts Pocket Brush Pen! I'm hoping to drop a tutorial in a month or so. :-)
TheSchmidt EasyFlow 9000 M is my pick for a hybrid ink in the Parker compatible pens. If you want a gel then I would go with Monteverde.
This stuff works for me.
Bestine Solvent
It thins adhesive from glue and tape. Use lightly. It thins fresh ink as well
If you're referring to the sticker on the front, you can remove those with Bestine (US) or Undu (CA). I'd try it out on another sticker first before attempting this one. If any glue residue is left behind, you can keep wetting it with Bestine/Undu and wipe it off gently. Whatever you do, do not apply any pressure what-so-ever or you'll take off the ink as well.
That looks like and Aventura you will need a #8751 Cross Converter.
https://www.amazon.com/Cross-Converter-Fountain-Townsend-Aventura/dp/B003H0ZTOW/ref=sr\_1\_1?crid=1NIGJ1SWKROB5&keywords=Cross+8751+Fountain+Pen+Converter&qid=1659755907&s=office-products&sprefix=cross+8751+fountain+pen+converter%2...
I bought this and a Cross Classic Century pen at the same time and they work great together. I believe the same converter works for my Cross Century II.
Looks like the pen I took from Hofbrauhaus in Vegas after a particularly wild night. I replaced it with the following refill. Writes soo smooth now. The pen almost moves too fast.
6 Pack - Schmidt easyFLOW 9000 - Black Ink https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0025ZX11S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_BNQQ224EQRQMVK86RRVM
For future reference, Bestine is one of the best things I’ve ever used for marker, stickers and residue.
Bestine Solvent and Thinner for Rubber Cement – Cleans Ink, Adhesive and Parts, 16 Ounce Can https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004O7HM38/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_DJAB2EZ4NQ2FY7W8GSWS
I've used Bestine solvent all over N64 carts. You'd have to try it on a common game to make sure it doesn't damage the label but this stuff is stronger than alcohol. Removes marker and all sorts of stickers fast with no damage.
Other redditor's testimony:
Bestine:
https://www.amazon.com/Bestine-Solvent-Thinner-Rubber-Cement/dp/B006SOK9YY
I hate using naphtha….heptane is much easier, not as bad for you, evaporates almost as fast as acetone so no need for freeze precipitation. Buy it from Amazon….. https://www.amazon.com/Bestine-Solvent-Thinner-Rubber-Cement/dp/B006SOK9YY
