It sucks that people are so inconsiderate, but alas they exist. I'm fortunate that my neighbors are very courteous.
Unpopular opinion, but I'd rather a dog poop on my lawn than pee and kill the grass. Both are undesirable, but one can be cleaned up with no after effects, the other takes much longer.
I did a quick search for dog repellant and found this. Although one of the reviews says it stinks like rotten garlic -- pick your poison I suppose.
Since DEET is poisonous to humans, and it makes me sick, I avoid it. Someone on this board recommended Repel Tick and Mosquito spray a month or so back, and it's been great. I even used it camping at a big event over Memorial weekend and everyone that tried it loved it. No weird smell, doesn't make your skin burn or feel greasy, and it works.

Note: I haven't used this in crazy summer heat yet, so remains to be seen if that affects the leaves negatively or not. However, it's been great so far.
I use Demand CS paired with Tekko, works great for Germans make sure to use a good roach bait too. I recommend Optiguard Roach bait Make sure to read all labels and use good PPE.
