The Lockpicking Lawyer recommend this for a good value lock. It isn't pick proof but it is great if you're on a budget. It is gonna provide some difficult to physical and picking attacks. Its good for locking up your shed and such things. https://www.amazon.com/ABUS-20-70-Stainless-Different/dp/B009S5Y6ZS/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_60_img_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=WDEXDDNG6E7GNCQSGDKA
Here are the locks you would used to lock up something very valuable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6iMmCSayBQ
Someone else suggested an American 1100. I second that PROVIDED it will fit your case. Depends on the case we're talking about.
Thieves (baggage handlers) that want to get your guns are going to go with a few options. One, they'll cut the hinges off the box. Two, they cut the lock shackle. Three, they shim the padlock. Thieves tend not pick locks but they've probably learned about can shims.
In this case, that lock has a pretty tough shackle, and it's not (easily?) shimmable. So you're forcing them to destroy the case to get your stuff. Which is all you can expect from any lock. Make the lock harder to get past than the container.
This (electronic padlock): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G2BBDPM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_WVET7CCP9BND84KRE9YC
Plus handcuffs and lovense vibrator programmed to run at full speed after 15 minutes for atleast 30 mins.
Might equal what you want!
I agree, this lock was not designed to be secure, but it is advertised as secure.
From the amazon listing:
>★ DURABLE ★- Bear the pull 280 lb. from horizontal or vertical, 3 grades resistance falling. it will not open, It is impossible to destroy by hand, please set the time reasonably.
LOTO stands for "Lock out tag out". Generally these locks go on things that need to be temporarily locked down, like breaker boxes. The idea is that these locks, while lacking in physical security, prevent other people from turning breakers on and frying the electrician. Of course, this is only one application out of many.
These locks (Master 410), however, contain lots of security pins for no real reason. The appeal to us is that they're relatively inexpensive -sometimes as low as $6 when you're on Amazon at the right time, and they are useful for practicing picking 6 pin locks and locks with security pins.
I just bought 4 of these on amazon

Are these similar to the 140. Or something completely different
Depends where you are but Amazon has it pretty cheap :) https://www.amazon.com/Government-Safety-Lockout-Padlock-Zenex/dp/B001HWD3Q8/

Hunting on eBay sometimes proves effective too for a couple at the same time to make them even cheaper
i found the abus 55/40 on amazon for really cheap. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005UM98YM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Abus 55/40 was $7.87 on Amazon as of right now.

Thank you. Supposedly the German made Abus Grant is ‘cut proof’ and some Storage facilities require it.
Not sure why your post got downvoted (hopefully that will be corrected as more people see your post), but welcome to the community! Those were great locks to start with. Just the right amount of challenge.
If you're looking for ideas where to go next, I'd suggest looking at the lock list that will be posted by a bot in a reply to this message when I suggest you take a stab! at some more difficult locks, and see if any look good. There is also the belt ranking list which is far mor comprehensive.
I particularly enjoyed the Abus 55/40 which is a good tick up in difficulty from the locks you've been opening but will still be within your abilities. You can find it on Amazon for about $6 or $7, with free shipping if you have Prime.
That makes no sense - they come in original packaging, and have the serrated key pins, the fully serrated driver pins, and spools. The bitting however is just plain terrible. Not sure how it would be counterfeit.
Edit: American Lock A1106YLW Padlock Keyed, Aluminum, Yellow https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015MG09E8/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_qoMQAbGW14XCR here is the link to the Amazon purchase. If they're selling counterfeits, we have a problem.
i'm no expert but according to lockpickinglawyer on youtube, the abus plus core is only pickable by a "handful" of experts in the world. this is a guy who has picked countless locks that are very difficult and says he himself can't pick it right now. he does pick it in a later video but says he can only pick it quickly because he's picked that same lock multiple times. so a lock like that would not be pickable for a burglar because even if he was an expert, he'd have to stand there for a long time to pick it. also very few can pick it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6iMmCSayBQ&t=103s
i found a different lock with the same abus core on amazon for about 35 bucks. i'm sure they make a deadbolt somewhere.
https://www.amazon.com/ABUS-20-70-KD-Stainless/dp/B009S5Y6ZS
i personally never went beyond picking schlage deadbolts. when i picked a schlage, all i did was raked it. it's a similar action to a lock pick gun.
i dont trust any of the kryptonite stuff it al can be sawed - read the amazon reviews even on the legend (the weakness is the lock on that one - rather than the chain) -- i follow a guy on you tube that just picks and saws locks -- his recommendation is this setup -- also cheaper than a kyrpto -- 2 feet of this - hardened steel chain -- cannot be cut and this lock from Stanley -- and get a chain sleeve and you're set
The Abus Granit is common in the US or buy on Amazon
Get a time lock from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Hours-Max-Timing-Lock-Rechargeable/dp/B07G2BBDPM/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=time+lock&qid=1581729778&sr=8-3
Then put the key on the lock and lock it somewhere too high to reach... Like a cabinet handle or to a fixxed structure in your home that you can't get to until it's unlocked at the time you set.
The UK has a different approach to security. Their locks have to be rated to a certain level for insurance claims, and locks in the U.K are almost always significantly harder to pick than western locks. You can't really compare the UK to the U.S in this case.
https://www.padlocks.co.uk/advice/cen-insurance/
They even have a lock in the UK called "The Insurance Lock" specifically for these reasons: https://www.amazon.com/ABUS-Granit-Padlock-Different-Rekeyable/dp/B004GE9H8W
https://www.amazon.com/Hours-Max-Timing-Lock-Rechargeable/dp/B07G2BBDPM?th=1
You had to do some math but it was just a timed lock. When we relocked it we just reset the timer for 24 hours.
I use a Pelican 1150 case to fly with my CCW. Not sure if the lock hole on the rifle case would be the same, but this Abus padlock fits perfectly on the pistol case. Absolutely no play

I am a bit of a fan of the Master 410LOTO. Not too pricy, and the feedback on the spool pins is fun. Master Lock 410RED Lockout Tagout Safety Padlock with Key https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00192092C/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_MSSKAMCWPFM7QY5KFVWS
I picked up a blue 1100 from a guy on Facebook marketplace for $16 (after shipping) and there is loto 410's and a yellow 1100 for $10-15 on Amazon American Lock-A1106YLW Lockout Padlock, KD, Yellow, 1/4 in. Dia. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015MG09E8/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_0B1HJZ1BYZZJ5NR5MKJT
I definitly can say the dollar tree and Dollar General locks are not good. I posted a video of a DG lock that I popped with just a tension wrench.

No one is getting through them. I use them in LA. Both are highly recommended from the lock picking lawyer on YouTube.
And get a apple air tag and put it some where on your bike that is not easily noticeable.
If you don't mind yellow, you can save a few bucks:

How about a time lock like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Hours-Max-Timing-Lock-Rechargeable/dp/B07G2BBDPM
You can have your handcuff keys time locked in a box for two hours while we try to kill you with orgasms! ;-)
Yes, I had this problem too. I bought a Masterlock 410 LOTO for $10.75 delivered on Amazon. I immediately picked it and joined the rattle club. I now have the springs I need to fix my lock I killed like yours.
I know you can get a few that look the same and are basic lockout locks. But I couldn't vouch for them or recommend them. I think the reason the 410 is recommended so much is the cores design and build quality (which is weird for master lock haha). I'm in the UK and got mine from amazon:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Master-Lock-ML410GRN-Different-Padlock/dp/B001HWD3Q8
Hopefully shipping ain't to bad
My first 410 LOTO was a lot easier to pick than my second. My second the last pin in the very back has to go up quite a bit. So you might try another 410. You also might try raking a false set then trying to pick it. That was how I picked my first one the very first time. You also might just move to another lock, I would suggest trying out an American 1100 at some point they are about $11 on Amazon and it is a good lock to move to at some point anyway.
