It’s not hard, at all. Once you’ve mastered the yarn over and a few other stitches, you’re pretty much set.
You might want to check out “The Very Easy Guide to Lace Knitting”. I’ll put the Amazon link below. I just got this book for myself a few days ago. I already know how to knit lace but I bought it because I wanted more lace pattern ideas. Anyway, the front of the book is very comprehensive and teaches you all about how to knit, in general, and how to knit lace, in particular.
If you’re the kind of person who’s very visual, there are a lot of good tutorials on YouTube. Personally, I like a channel called Very Pink Knits because the host explains things so clearly and she has a diversity of videos. She has a twenty minute video on how to knit lace on her channel.

Dye and Thunder's Beginner's Guide to Bobbin Lace is good, and it's been around a while, so used copies are out there.
Jo Edkins' Bobbin Lace School has a lot of info and a lot of free patterns.
Luckily they are short. If you still excited after that, there’s a lovely book that recreated patterns in an antique lace sampler.

That's such a cool find, I really love vintage books.
I actually purchased a modern reprint of this awhile ago! It's a pretty decent price, too.

Eeh, honestly, my knowledge on crafts has been gleaned from reading and re-reading a set of Craft Encyclopedias front he 70s which I bought from a library sale a decade ago. So much (often obsolete) information.
Yes, unfortunately that pattern is in a book called "Amazing Lace" by Doris Chan. It's available from Amazon but for $52 because it's out of print. Good luck!
I've been working on this off and on for a very long time. Probably at least a year. I should also note that this is my first project, and I've restarted it a few times. I've had to cut out mistakes and redo them. I got the pattern from this book which is cheap and has lots of great patterns in it.
I have no idea when it will be done, or if it will be neat enough to sell, but I'm hoping!
