Meh, already found an upgraded IPS display on Amazon.

The screen Dell includes is pretty trash to begin with so i might as well use this as an opportunity
I bought these two items
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0788TL1VR/
I'm told there is an adapter model with a longer cable you can find. I had to put the adapter behind the screen. It took a lot of work to get it to fit without pushing on the screen.
If you look around there are a few guides.
Get a standalone RGB controller. Silverstone has one you can plug a switch into (like your cases reset button) and control it that way https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06X9QJBGF/. Or if you search amazon there are tons that are wifi/bluetooth controlled with an app and also integrate with Alexa/Google Assistant. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06VX3816R/
I purchased it from amazon. I went with the matte version, while I would like the glossy the matte version still looks great!
I just upgraded my T440p from 1366x768 to 1920x1080. It seems like a lot of what ends up happening with panel sellers is you order one thing and you don't get the exact right one. I orded a B140HAN01.2 from Amazon and ended up with a B140HAN01.1. Ordered glossy (because it was less expensive and I didn't really care ) but ended up with matte. I'm very happy with the screen, no dead pixels, installation was of course a matter of a couple of minutes. The only hiccup is that there is a tiny amount of light leakage from the backlight off the middle of the left side of the bezel. It was only $50, here's the link I used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GIRSHEA
I bought my panel from "East Coast LCD" seller on Amazon. Great panel at good price.
As for "compatible", yeah, you don't want that. You want exact part number, East Coast LCD can do that, as well as other sellers.
As for 3-5 dead pixels...this is what you'll get from Lenovo with a new screen/laptop (I think their allowance might actually be 2-3 or 3-4 pixels), but it's now an industry standard with brand new screens. The panel I bought from East Coast LCD also said allowance of 3-5 dead pixels, but I cannot find any using any of the standard solid color backgrounds. My two cents is that on 1920x1080 and higher res screens, it's going to be come harder and harder to actually see a single dead pixel here or there in a sea of millions.
Here's another listing of the same panel you linked for much cheaper...they actually do offer no dead pixel guarantee. Seller by default is Vtek Screen, I don't know them and would ask if they are shipping exact or compatible, East Coast LCDs is also a seller (for cheaper) and I assume they ship exact model for this one, but I would ask them to be sure. East Coast LCDs don't offer no dead pixels, but do allow returns with a 15% restocking fee. ECL also shipped very fast, packaged very well. Like I said, I didn't get any dead pixels from the panel (B156HAN01.2) I ordered from them.
Pro tip: Buy a screen and the professional replacement from Amazon. It'll run you 300 bucks but that's a 50% discount I guess.
For the FHD IPS upgrade all you need to do is track down a legit panel, find a working adapter kit and install it into a T430. Its actually pretty easy to do and shouldn't take more than 20~30 minutes once you have all the parts. Last time I checked the adapter I used was sold out but this is the seller I got my panel from:
https://www.amazon.com/BRIGHTFOCAL-B140HAN01-3-1920x1080-Replacement-Display/dp/B07WF2DCRQ
"Ill be able to use my 1600x900 on my friends ThinKpad to upgrade theyre 1333 one."
When you upgrade your friend's T430 don't forget to also install your HD+ cable into their T430 alongside your old HD+ panel otherwise it won't work until you do.
Sorry to hear ya got burned, would a B140HAN01.2 work? I picked one up from this seller for my T430 and they've still got 17 left if so:
https://www.amazon.com/BRIGHTFOCAL-B140HAN01-3-1920x1080-Replacement-Display/dp/B07WF2DCRQ
No worries it is actually pretty easy. I bought a Chitu screen for about 50 USD:
You can buy from anycubic direct for $70=shipping https://www.anycubic.com/collections/for-photon-series/products/lcd-screen-for-photon-mono
or you can get this one from chitu on amazon for $60 and there is a 5%off coupon right now https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09921BSCL/
My Mono hasn't had that problem, but my friend bought this for his Mono SE when the same thing happened to him.
Not OP, but I'm using an older version of these:
https://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-Technology-Mystic-BIOSTAR-LS02/dp/B01MV46VAF/
Have them running along the interior sides of a Large tophat on top, on either side of the 120mm rad and fan there. I'll grab some pictures if I remember when I get home, but it looks nice going up through the grill.
I took a gamble on a third party seller on Amazon, earlier this year. I ordered a panel from this seller and luckily received a genuine AUO B140HAN0.13. If you look at the reviews, other buyers had a similar experience.
You might be able to use one of these panels which I used when I upgraded my T430, did a bit of googling and I think they're compatible (mounts may or may not be different):
https://www.amazon.com/BRIGHTFOCAL-B140HAN01-3-1920x1080-Replacement-Display/dp/B07WF2DCRQ
Sorry to hear ya got screwed over and if ya buy from Ebay make sure to use Paypal incase you have any issues with a purchase.
Flickering isn't really an issue with the newer boards which also have better shielding on their cables and components. I've used both stock panels (HD then later upgraded to HD+) prior to doing the FHD IPS mod and I can say it is well worth it to do the upgrade.
Unfortunately the seller I got my board from is no longer active on Ebay however this one here appears to be identical in every way visually to the one I use and they have pretty good reviews:
This is the panel I use: https://www.amazon.com/BRIGHTFOCAL-B140HAN01-3-1920x1080-Replacement-Display/dp/B07WF2DCRQ
I got my panel from this seller on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/BRIGHTFOCAL-B140HAN01-3-1920x1080-Replacement-Display/dp/B07WF2DCRQ
On a weird side note if you do the FHD mod and use a 4338 dock you can drive a triple FHD display setup (internal + 2 external via DP) even if your system only has the Intel iGPU (Intel HD4000).
"N140HCA-EAC c2 or B140HAN01.3 or is there some else that is better. Going get a adapter from ebay"
Which seller on Ebay were you planning on buying the adapter from? Not sure about 'better options' but the latter is a pretty good screen. When I upgraded my T430 I got my panel from this seller:
https://www.amazon.com/BRIGHTFOCAL-B140HAN01-3-1920x1080-Replacement-Display/dp/B07WF2DCRQ
That kit looks different from the one I use but for $40 it could be worth the gamble, the sellers history looks good enough and quite a few have already sold. I can't find the seller and the link is broken but you can see what mine looks like here (the link to the screen still works but imgur is weird adding spaces around periods for urls, will link it below):
https://www.amazon.com/BRIGHTFOCAL-B140HAN01-3-1920x1080-Replacement-Display/dp/B07WF2DCRQ
Newer boards shouldn't have the flicker issue and unfortunately the link to the Ebay seller I got mine from doesn't work anymore. This is the panel I paired with it:
https://www.amazon.com/BRIGHTFOCAL-B140HAN01-3-1920x1080-Replacement-Display/dp/B07WF2DCRQ
Microsoft isn't going to fix it but there are some solutions.

Some phone repair places will fix the surface. CPR i know is one of them.

Here is a replacement screen you can get online: Amazon Screen

There are also YouTube videos on how to fix it but i wouldn't recommend it unless your confident
This Panel with This Adapter
I bought one from Amazon because I new I could send it back if it didn't work (I checked the return policy to make sure I could).
I installed this one last week, it's not the brightest but it is a nice improvement: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WF2DCRQ
Be sure that you get the long-wired adapter, even if you have to wait from ali.
I don't know if all surface pro 3 screens are compatible, it is recommended that you open it before and then Buy a screen on amazon and do it yourself, since you opened it I would change the battery and repaste cpu, optional ssd

I want to get some of these phantek halos but i have a dumb question. How do you connect all of them to the one RGB header on the motherboard? Is there some sort of hub or controller that they all plug into? Maybe this
Hey! Of course!
So the lighting on the back of the monitors is from an LED strip. I have a 5m LED strip which runs across the back of my desk and then loops back around up the back of the monitor mount and then across each monitor :)
I only recently got the monitor mount and I absolutely love it. It has drastically changed the way my room looks. I actually only got one that cost £25 so I didn't expect much at all. It feels very durable and is clamped onto the desk, it definitely does not feel like it is going to fall at all! Very sturdy piece of kit! (This is the one I got, price has gone up a little now! - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lavolta-Monitor-Screen-Display-Plasma/dp/B00B77XI7C )
Hope this helps, let me know if you want any more information or pics :)
Hi, I am looking at doing the same upgrade but I had a question. Do I need to buy a new cable? I was going to buy this screen, but the listing says this:
>Please, make sure you have the same screen resolution, or replacement will not work. HD screen (1366x768) uses one channel video cable, while HD+ (1600x900) and Full HD (1920x1080) use 2-channels video cable, thus they are not compatible. You can upgrade screen resolution by switching video cable to Full HD only! Please, refer to manufacturer to find compatible video cables for HD+ and FullHD resolutions.
If that is true, where did you buy your cable from and which one exactly?
Thanks.
I used this one (link) to upgrade my t450s, but you're not really guaranteed to get the whitelisted panel (they are physically the same as the whitelisted, but lenovo adds something to the information on the panel, I got stupid lucky with mine). The whitelist is only really supposed to be a problem with brightness control in windows, so if you run linux (like I do) it shouldn't be a problem. From what I understand, the t450s and t450 can share the same panels (might want to do your own research to be sure), so just look up t450s stuff up as well.
Great upgrade, although the tn wasn't really that bad.
These RGB strips work great with Asus Aura
