Yes, for most items sold on Amazon, Amazon is just a sales forum for third party sellers ("Amazon Marketplace").
But for a large number of popular items sold on Amazon, the item is sold by Amazon itself ("Ships from and sold by Amazon.com.")
The problem is that even for items sold by Amazon itself, Amazon is not doing enough quality assurance on what it receives from its suppliers.
For example:
Apple: Nearly 90% Of 'Genuine' iPhone Chargers On Amazon Are Counterfeit ("And since those products were sold directly “by Amazon.com” using Apple’s product marketing images, it made the products seem even more real.")
Wow, that looks like an incredible route!
I have always kept my bike in the hotel room, never has it been an issue. Although hauling it up narrow stairs to a 5th floor room in Crete was a challenge!
I think that packing two sets of cycling clothing is a good idea. I always bring a rubber stopper and travel laundry detergent (such as this stuff) so that I can always clean my clothes in the sink, even if there's no laundry facility.
For a bike lock, I would recommend one of the Abus folding locks. Some of the smaller options like this one are quite light.
I would also bring some spare quick links in your parts kit, in case you need to repair a broken chain. A few zip ties are also a good thing to have, just for quick fixes to get you to the next bike shop.
Wishing you the best of luck!
There's no problem with them being old. The issue is no proper maintenance. A couple of these tablets trying through a couple washes will help a lot. Maybe a dose of vinegar during a few cycles will wash away the years of residue buildup that is funkifying your clothes.
Sorry that your maintenance isn't doing the job.
You’re going to have to wash your pads again, try an allergy designed laundry detergent like this. This is what I use - you can get them at Walmart and Target too - you just run a couple of clean cycles with one of these in there and it fixes your sudsy issue!

I wear a lot of Merino--Icebreaker, SmartWool and Darn Tough socks. I use Granger's Merino Wool Wash. Amazon has good pricing if you buy it as an add-on item which makes shipping free which works out to around $0.25 a wash. I wash in cold and then just hang dry.
They last well though I've had one of my Icebreaker boxer briefs develop a hole after a few months.
Have you tried paper sheet laundry detergent? I use it every time I travel and I haven’t had any issues. It dissolves and cleans well. I just keep a bunch in a baggie and use a quarter of a sheet (or less) per sink full. I wash 2-3 days worth of clothes at once.

Have you tried cleaning the washer? The drain holes and the seals around the door? You can also pick up washer cleaning tablets.
Cashmere generally isn't a year-round tailoring material. Honestly, I wouldn't keep it just because it's more delicate than other blazer fabric options, so you have to baby it compared to the doeskin.
Oxyclean is the near universal answer to collar yellowing.
Maybe try running the washer with a cleaner?
I used these to wash my laundry in the sink/bathtub while travelling and it was really handy! It’s quite small, will fit in the palm of your hand
As a kid, I remember someone giving me a gift of these paper-thin wafers of soap in a small case. I was pretty meticulous about washing my hands around the age of ten and I was really sad when I ran out.
Turns out you can get them at camping and outdoor supply stores like REI (and amazon if you're inclined).
I almost always wet block my knits because I feel that it helps the fibers lay down a bit better. I use this Granger's Merino Wool Wash when blocking. I haven't experimented with any other products so I can't say if it's better or worse than anything else, but it seems to help tame the frizz and soften the work.
I use washing machine cleaner about once per month in my LG washer and it stopped having this issue.
Clearly, those anti-fart underwear filter manufacturers need to hire a better advertising department.
Hell, you can get them via subscription on amazon prime.
A lot of them work on similar technology to masks, too.
Febreze isn't discrete, but it is designed to neutralize odor. There are also these: https://www.amazon.ca/Fashion-First-Aid-Disposable-Neutralizers/dp/B001KYVJSC
Obviously, diet is king, though. There are many foods that cause smellier gas.
Alright, so I'm going to be the one to ask the weird question.
Why did doing cocaine make you smell bad?
Just ask a friend or coworker frankly and tell them you have some anxiety around it, you don't need to mention the previous drug use. You may wash your clothes often but it's possible that your washing machine needs to be cleaned there are plenty of products you could use. Smelling while/after you're working out is perfectly normal, do not be self conscious of that.
Make sure you do a couple cycles to what a washing machine cleaner. I discovered recently that the natural cycle of our HE washer over time builds up goop and doesn't have enough water in it to wash out all the hoses. You'll need a strong cleaner to clean the pipes.
The increase in time might be a sensor detecting a low flow of water in the drain.
I'm not a repair guy, but its not a bad idea to do this every six months or so regardless.

amazon has a bunch https://www.amazon.com/Affresh-Washer-Machine-Cleaner-6-Tablets/dp/B00C91Q86I

Start adding a 1/2 cup (or even a full cup) of borax powder to the wash.
Put vinegar in the fabric softener dispenser (instead of fabric softener) your laundry will smell faintly of vinegar, but that smell will dissipate by the time it dries.
I like to use detergent sheets when traveling. Super lightweight, pack small, no liquids, and work well. For sink or drybag washing you can cut one sheet into multiple smaller single wash pieces.
First, and it seams you already have done this, find a service or user manual for your model. It will help you determine where everything is on the washer and it’s recommended maintenance and periodicity.
Second, remove and clean the filter. Here is a guide from family handy man that isn’t complete but will get you started.
Third, buy Affresh washing machine cleaning tabs. I was hesitant to use them until I started seeing them named (by brand name) in service literature.
If no luck, hire a professional, seriously. You don’t need the stress of trying to completely dismantle a front load washer😉
I think Affresh is the most well known.

Vinegar mixed with baking soda is not a good cleaner.

I bring laundry detergent sheets, specifically LG's "fresh fiji" although the look of the product has changed since I last bought it. There are other brands as well. They're like cottony feeling pieces of paper, super lightweight. I cut one sheet into 4ths, and use a 4th (about 2.5" x 2.5" piece) for sink washing a bunch of items. Smells great and the sheet disintegrates completely and bubbles up even in cold water. No need to bring extra liquids and silly easy to pack essentially a piece of paper.
