Unfortunately, how and what to seal a wound with is hotly debated. Never have read of super glue being used but also haven't read about it being bad.

We didnt have any fleas two years ago, and we had such a cold winter im not too worried, but last year we got em real bad so better safe than sorry. You can also buy one of those duckbill rubber valves for a dollar or so (this is not the one you need, just an example). In quantity (the quantity that we tested them in, 100 or so) you can get them for a nickel. In the quantity that GM would have used them (the millions), they could have gotten them for fractions of a cent.
