All of the aftermarket tail lights and headlights for our trucks are fucking trash. For the tail light just wet sand the whole housing with a really fine grit , and then grab some of the vinyl I link below and cut a piece that is similar to the size of the clear part, and then use a razor blade to cut along the line around said clear piece and remove the excess. Maybe you're more crafty than i. And can get it on the whole thing etc. I tried but it was too hard.
I know it's out of stock but they might have a new listing, or find something similar.

2020 Edition Bio Pulse HEX+ Smoke Air-tint headlight taillight tint extra large roll (17.9" x 60") https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CF5KS7H/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_bRDeGbSM1FKZX?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Personally, I just used chrome tape to change the look of the front grille. I wanted double chrome strips, instead of the bottom red line. Once you take the grille off you will see how the red or chrome strips are attached, you can pop them off and tape them whatever color you want. I've had it on for two years, and it still looks awesome. Also tinted the tail lights by ordering a roll of tint off amazon. People ask me at the car meets where I ordered all this stuff from, so I take that as a hint that if you do it right, it looks super legit. There's plenty of youtube videos, but it all boils down to doing a very good job of cleaning, and cleaning, and cleaning the part again. Then using a heat gun to warm up the tape before applying. It will stay forever.
You can buy them from amazon from Lamin-X. I had these on my MK6, pretty easy to install and great look
Another user (I have no idea how to tag a user in comments but the tag is lavenderantihero) on here used lamin-x and it looked great. They gave me explicit instructions on how to place them, I just haven’t had the opportunity because it’s raining pretty much every day lately. It looks great on theirs!

Here's a link to what I got on Amazon
Thank you! It isn't perfect, but I am very well pleased with how it looks.
>because of all the angles and such
TBH, that's where you can tell mine was done in our garage! Lol. There are some bubbles and a crease or two, but nothing super noticeable when driving or sitting in traffic. At night, it looks like it was done by a quality shop. Plus, it's a daily and not a show car, so I doubt most people on the road would notice or care anyway.
We also did my son's Fusion, and his were far easier than mine (we did his first, so I think that led us to believe it was easy and $500+ from shops around here was a rip-off). But, me and my son had a fun day and learned a new thing, so that's worth the 'mistakes' in the wrap. We thought about using Nightshades (I did that on my old MazdaSpeed Miata) but wanted to try something new. And, at worst, if it all went south, we were out $20/car and a few hours.
Anyway, we discovered that, as amateurs, you can make the back of the lights nice and flat and professional looking, or you can make the top and sides that way. We opted for the back. The tops and sides are fine, but those angles on the top of the lights were a bitch. It's like trying to wrap the corner of a cube that also has curves in it.
If you decide to do it, I can give you some tips on things we learned the hard way by doing our cars. You will absolutely need a heat gun. That 3M vinyl is super thick. You'll also need help, two hands is not nearly enough. Taking the tail lights off made it easier. Lol!
It's fairly simple, I just got this off Amazon, cut a piece slightly bigger than the panel. Then put it on the panel, squeezed out any air bubbles. Then flipped the panel over on its face, and cut any of the excess off with an exacto knife.
I do have a video but i'm too busy to edit it or whatever, I can send you the raw footage if you want
Big fan of yellow fog lights myself, pretty cheap mod.
Other than that, maybe headlights and tail lights.
Great looking car either way!
I used this: Bio Pulse HEX+ Smoke Air-tint headlight taillight tint extra large roll (17.9" x 60") https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CF5KS7H/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_Q6XN347VHWVK1Q93QW3Z?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Just one coat.
Bio Pulse HEX+ Smoke I also recommend getting a wrap kit from Amazon too, it will make it a lot easier to install as well as a heat gun too if you don’t already have oneBio Pulse Hex + Smoke
I used the VViViD air release Dark Tint and cut into 2" strips for most. I couldn't curve the vinyl around the rear corner - needed to cut a square out of the vinyl and be steady with a razor to get that covered. I'll be finishing the passenger side with the help of knifeless tape.
If it's the headlight tint type plastic film it's self adhesive; there's a film layer to remove to expose the adhesive.
Otherwise just wedge it in there somehow.
Here’s something no one else will say but it will help change your new life.
At some point in time the corporations convinced us that saving 2 cents on your electric bill was more important than the quality of the light you bathed your life in. As your first apartment and post indicates, your living space is a sacred place, your small little slice of the world. Every moment there is important...
Then why is the largest, most utilized and potentially most communal space in your apartment, the kitchen, saturated with the same lighting as a McDonald’s bathroom??
These fluorescents are a hideous joke and no person should find them remotely acceptable. Get creative with standing lamps, soft white Xmas string lights (often recessed is best and connected to a remote) or even softer-colored gel covers you can lay inside the plastic cover.

Design and warmth isn’t just for people with money. If you like cozy, a light change is paramount. Careful of dust and dead bugs when you take that cover off. Congrats and good luck.
I wrapped them with this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GQRQ996/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_MF4xFbTHSNTYT Pretty easy to do it ended up peeling up a bit and I had to redo it I recommend taking the lights off the car to do it if you end it trying it
I used this film but I do not recommend it; the film is not amber, it is a light-yellow color. To get amber you'll have to apply 3 layers of this film.
Yup, Lamin-x is plastic, here's an amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/Lamin-x-S126Y-Fog-Light-Cover/dp/B00C6REQGO
As far as LED being better, it depends which LED you go with. The XML2s($120) for example output ~1400 lumens, stock lamps output ~500 lumens. Most LED kits out there output something around ~3-400 lumens.
I went with these. They say they fit a brz.... not true on my end. i still had to trim the vinyl slightly to make it work.
These are the overlays.
I was considering some of the things from Subispeed. There are a bunch of option, all of which required installing a separate harness and converter so I said no thanks. Also the Lamin-X are on Subispeed under lighting/fog lights as well as amazon....and the Lamin-X website.
Just a yellow lamin-x vinyl cutout that goes over the lens. First thing I did to car actually, always loved the "jdm" yellow fog look especially on blue.
