I got a gift card to Motherhood Maternity with my first pregnancy. And honestly? I never want to spend another dime there. Their quality is terrible and their customer service is even worse. The shirts I got didn't even last my previous pregnancy, and all are either falling apart at the seams or weirdly stretched out. And we air-dry all our shirts, so it's not a dryer issue.
But on the bright side, I want to own these pants in every single color because they are SO SOFT AND COMFY. I have black and green... so far.
These - so comfy! Motherhood Maternity Women's Essential Stretch Full Length Secret Fit Belly Leggings https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013WUE9VA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_TEY2M7HDP59DR7J207BM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
BUY THE MATERNITY PANTS. Don't worry about when you are "big" enough to get something that will make you more comfortable.
I am living in maternity pants, joggers, and leggings because I can't stand anything that cuts right across my (mostly bloat) belly. I'm still wearing my normal tops, but just having the pants has helped soooo much.
Lately I have been living in these: https://www.amazon.com/-/de/dp/B07N4HBWKH/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=love2mi+maternity+joggers&qid=1612974794&sr=8-4
These are THE MOST COMFORTABLE! I’ve bought so many different ones but these fit the best (and have pockets). You can dress them up or just wear at home w t shirt. I’ll be 33 weeks this week. These! I’m 6.5 weeks and I have terrible bloating, these fit close to the belly regardless of the size of your bump…and it feels like you have nothing on! 110% recommend!
This has become my new uniform and I adore them. Pair with long shirt/dress with high boots and they’re super cute and comfy. I’ve challenged myself not to wear real pants again until I go back to work after maternity leave fall 2022 lol….

I’m also a teacher. I live in these pants linked below. I have 6 pairs and I’ve managed to wear them throughout my whole pregnancy.

For any other shorties like me! These fit like 7/8 length on me at 5’0” and are so comfy! Will be 10 weeks Monday and already can’t stand how waistbands feel on my bloated belly.

I will chime in (I'm 36 weeks) and say that if you need bottoms as we're heading into fall, these leggings are the absolute jam and are really cheap: https://smile.amazon.com/Motherhood-Secret-Belly-Maternity-Leggings/dp/B01IVSE8YG I'm 5'7", 245lbs (usually a size 16-18) and can wear the 1x or 2x. 2x is more comfortable - the 1x is a little tight on my calves. They stay up and are really cozy - great under a dress or tunic top, or just a longer maternity t-shirt. They come in a full length as well!
I bought a pair of motherhood maternity leggings off Amazon, and I’m obsessed with them! They’re super soft, and not see through. Lots of stretch in the belly panel! I’ll link them here - I’m a 20/22, and the 2x is perfect!

One nice thing about being pregnant last spring was that by the time I was big enough to wear maternity clothes, everything shut down. I just lived in sweats and my husbands t-shirts.
However, I did get these maternity sweatpants in 2 colors and I really appreciated them: https://www.amazon.com/Liu-Qu-Maternity-Stretchy-Comfortable/dp/B07Z77WCKC/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=maternity+sweatpants&qid=1623265684&sr=8-5
When I did have to dress in a way that was acceptable to leave the house, I generally did basic leggings + tank top + open sweater.
I do not envy those of you who are currently pregnant in summer...I would not have looked "cute" in the slightest.
Amazon. I actually love the pants & they're just a thin cotton so I would have never thought they'd be leaking SO much ink.

These pants from Amazon have been my saving grace! I bought three pairs and I've been wearing them constantly! Not leggings, pretty loose, very comfy.
I loved these yoga shorts from maacie for being pregnant in the warmer months. The pockets are great and I wear them post pregnant too, I just fold the waist down.

Amazon was pretty great for being pregnant in a pandemic. There's lots of brands and reviews to browse through.
Asos is another fave. I lived in a pair of their over the belly leggings in the spring in co. I will still wear them post pregnant too lol. And you can easily return stuff if it doesn't fit.
Look at kindred braverly for bras. I just finally found some good nursing bras after I gave birth and I wish I got some earlier. I didn't like the bras with hooks and the one where you just pull to the side was right for me.
And target for tops! Their maternity tank tops can definitely be worn post partum.
I also just wore oversized flannels and t shirts that I already had
Please buy your pre pregnant size in maternity clothes. They truly do fit as expected
I also got some really cute ones on Old Navy. And, not that you asked, but these pants are amazing. They have pockets! My daughter is four months and I still wear them to knock around the house.
I also shop online - I almost exclusively wear these working from home:

Hahah i love it!! I have a strict no wearing pants in my house policy 😂 I got these ones today. They’re not the cutest but they’re comfy!

I did an Amazon prime wardrobe order and these were my favorites. I tried on some other Motherhood Maternity pants but these were by far my favorite.
Honestly, I do not want to spend much on maternity clothes so I’ve been wearing a lot of stretchy things. I bought those belly band things, but having a stiff pair of pants with a tight elastic band over the top digging into my belly turned out to be not very comfortable. So far I’ve ended up just buying a couple of stretchy bottoms that I would feel comfortable wearing on a daily basis. So far I’ve purchased the two items linked below and they’re basically all that I live in. Plus, they’re pretty darn cheap.

I've always been very frugal, i feel guilty buying maternity clothes I'm only going to use for a few more months!! But I did get some nice items. My favorite are these shorts. Epic pockets!!
Oooh, you have pockets!!!
I bought these on a whim the other day and I’m STOKED. They’re $22 and super comfortable, and I’ve been living in them ever since.
I’m planning to buy as few maternity clothes as possible, since I barely leave the house anyway.
I found some maternity pants for work on amazon for roughly $30 that i really like. The reviews are a little mixed, but so far have worked out great for me. I felt weird buying them before I had an official bump, but super glad I did! They are super comfortable and a pretty universal style.

FTM here, last week I just couldn’t stand the bloat and bought two pairs of pants from amazon even though I thought it was too early, and I am SO HAPPY that I did! My work dress code is a step above business casual but I think these pants could work in more casual settings, too. I’ve been rotating between two pairs of these and find that I’m not even changing immediately when I get home: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CJX6RKM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Fv1qEbEJPBWFK
I don't do shorts because I have thick thighs and I don't find them flattering, so I just wear ankle pants and jeans and skirts/dresses. MM has AWESOME skinny ankle pants that are SUPER comfy, I bought them in blue and black. They have it on Amazon too.
