I recently bought myself a memory foam bed off amazon for like $199. It's super cheap for a bed, and costly for a gamble, but I lucked out and it's a great mattress! My back problems went away, and for the first month, I was sleeping so much that people thought I was depressed. I would laugh and tell them "no, I just love sleeping now!"
PM me if you want the brand or other info, I feel like I've made this sound enough like a plug lol.
Edit: I can't keep up with the pms lol. Search for Zinus memory foam mattress!
Honestly you can go on Amazon and get quality beds. I bought a memory foam queen mattress online for $300 shipped. I worked as a delivery driver for a mattress company for 2 years, and I can verify that this mattress is on par with the quality of our supposed "$2000" memory foam mattresses. Mark ups are INSANE. My boss would spend around 2k for a delivery from the manufacturer, which would contain something like 6-8 full beds (mattress, boxspring, frame). Each of these would sell for between 1k and 4k with delivery, varying only somewhat in quality. Only the really low end "discount" beds were noticeably less comfortable. The one I picked up online stands up to many of the luxury beds I've worked with, its the best mattress I've ever slept on. 10/10 would buy a bed from Amazon any day and probably from here on out.
Edit: for those who have been asking, here is a link to the one I picked up: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NH0XWNU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_gS3ZAbADH6PPE
I just finished furnishing a house and bought several mattresses and bed frames. I got an INCREDIBLY COMFY king bed and frame for less than $400 on Amazon. Here's the mattress I got.
I was really happy with the foam mattress I ordered from Amazon. Zinus and Spa Sensations are great. In fact, Amazon has a great sale right now. You only need a full-size bed now so it's even cheaper!

Dude I got an all foam mattress from amazon for $300. Best bang for your buck right there. Edit: I'm 6.3", got the king size. I love it. https://www.amazon.com/Zinus-Memory-Green-Mattress-Queen/dp/B00Q7EPSHI/ref=sxts_k2p_hero1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=2668835622&pd_rd_wg=7Dgaw&pf_rd_r=R0Q4AB4ZJT4GH2EVRFMJ&pf_rd_s=desktop-sx-top-slot&pf_rd_t=301&pd_rd_i=...
I bought a queen sized memory foam mattress for $350 on Amazon a few years ago. Been amazing so far. Has 10 year full warranty.
Edit: It's this one. Sleep Innovations Shiloh 12-inch Memory Foam Mattress, Queen https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003CT37L0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_JvzIAb7M0K5XV
I’m not sure what your current financial situation is, but I wanted to share this anyway. Maybe you could quickly save up for it or make a mini GoFundMe.
My husband and I purchased this mattress when we moved to an apartment together. It’s super inexpensive but has been the best mattress either of us has slept on, ever. It’s a perfect combination of firm and soft. The prices also vary depending on what size/length you get
This line of thinking, while great, can lead to a slippery slope where you're simply spending too much money. Some pointers:
1) The quality of many items doesn't necessarily correspond with price, and there are frequently diminishing returns above a certain price point. For example, you can probably get a lot more milage out of a $700 suit that you dry clean once a year than a suit you buy for $100. But the difference between a $20,000 suit and the $700 suit is probably minuscule for the average consumer (especially if you don't really need to wear a suit).
2) Try to prioritize things that you think you would want to last long. For example, if I bought a washer and dryer, I'd want it to last for at least 10 years. If I bought a shoe rack, I would be indifferent as to how long it lasted for (so long as I got at least, say, a year out of it). Once you have that priority, do your research. In my life, I prioritize the life-span of my appliances, shoes, mattress, bedframe (and car if I had one). Every one is a little different in that regard. Clothes are really hard to pin down. My uniqlo stuff lasts pretty long, but my more expensive stuff can wear very quickly. Research is so vital here.
3) There are some good resources online for researching lifespans of typical products and brands. I like /r/BuyItForLife. For items like mattresses and vacuum cleaners, experts in those fields tend to do AMAs on reddit quite frequently and have great recommendations. For the former, the consensus is that most mattresses are rip-offs, and you can buy high quality off amazon (and prime shipping on top for quick delivery) for a lot cheaper. For the latter, this vacuum dude recommends doing a Sharknado if you're budget constrained, and Miele if you're not.
I have one of these and it's really great. If you don't mind waiting I got mine for 170.

I dunno about OP, but this is the one that I bought on Amazon.
I got this in early 2017 and I love it. It's got a 10 year limited warranty against manufacturer defects, and a 100 day trial period in which you can send it back for any reason.
I ended up buying the same mattress in a twin size for my toddler because of how much I like mine.
It's not that expensive to go the distance. Buy yourself some nice pillows too (Ross has awesome deals)!
I got my mattress off Amazon and it's one of those memory foam deals that comes all compressed. It is super firm, so if you're not into firm, you would hate it. It was under $200, though, so way worth it for me! I have not noticed any of the temperature issues other people have with memory foam.

Just get a SleepInnovations mattress from Amazon (seriously -- super comfortable and less than half the price you'd pay anywhere else). Prime delivers to your house free in two days. Old mattress you can call in a Bulky Item pickup.

I have one of these: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B003CT37L0/
I've been sleeping on it for 9 years now and still happy with it. There are a ton of reasonably priced memory foam mattresses on amazon. I suspect they're all made in the same chinese factories and the reason a Casper costs 3x as much is because of marketing and branding.
Quest 2 can have however big of a play space as you want. You literally just paint the floor for the play space. If you had the skills you could literally build a player home for Skyrim with the floor plan of your actual home and walk around in it in-game.
Quest 2 is very good every into VR. It has really good first part, standalone games to play in VR with no PC necessary.
I previously had an original HTC Vive and just bought Quest 2 recently with the intention of trying it out then returning it Best Buy because I hate Facebook.
Well, I'm keeping it now.
It's screens are amazing for the price and that is completely worth it for me.
Also, depending on the level of sacrifice you are willing to make, you can have room scale VR in a moderately sized room.
My room in the house I used to live in was approx 10x15'
I slept on the floor with a 4" thick memory foam twin size mattress thing that I flipped up against the wall during the day and the only other thing I had in my room was my desk, a wall mounted TV and an IKEA Poang chair with foot rest for lounging to watch a movie that I pushed into the closet if I needed the space for VR. That mattress is actually one of the most comfortable things I've ever slept on in my life, seriously. Way more comfortable than any bed I've ever slept on. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00DJ8HWBU/
I had a good 10x12' space for VR which is more than adequate.
I recently bought the Zinus memory foam mattress (one of those mattress in a box deals) on Amazon and I've loved it the last month or so. They are insanely cheap compared to the bigger brands. An idea if you want to skip the air mattress and buy a reasonably priced permanent option.
i love my memory foam mattress, very comfortable and resilient. it was also much cheaper than the average mattress. the 2 main downsides i have come across though are that they can be a little hot. so not great in summer and if you lay in one spot to long it can be hard to move. so if your say watching a movie in bed or reading a book it can be hard to adjust your position into something that is more comfortable for sleeping. i won't lay in my bed anymore unless i know for sure i am going to sleep. other than that though the mattress is fantastic, it's very easy to fall asleep you don't get lumps in the bed, and if you have a partner movement doesn't transfer much so you don't wake them up. oh thats one last complaint, sex is a bit harder since you sink into the bed more. i would definitely recommend getting one though if your looking for a mattress. i purchased a Zinus Memory Foam 12 Inch Green Tea Mattress, Queen for 200 bucks at the start of 2016. when it was on sale. it's 279 now.
I really like my Zinus mattress that I got from Amazon, for the price. Surprisingly high quality for a budget option.
For a mattress, I HIGHLY recommend this one from amazon. My wife and I have had it for over a year and there are no signs of wear/indentions in it (something we could not say about our old $800+ mattress). And it’s only $220 for a full. (But you should get a queen if you got space). It comes in a box all compressed, so it’s easy to maneuver until you open it.
ive used this for like 3 years
you can get a bed frame for $100-300, depending on metal/wood/construction type on amazon also
This mattress is awesome not too expensive
Zinus 12 Inch Green Tea Memory Foam Mattress / CertiPUR-US Certified / Bed-in-a-Box / Pressure Relieving, Queen https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Q7EPSHI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_978BT3CHSJQAR13BNH47
One of the best mattresses I have ever slept on. A fraction of the price of other memory foam mattresses. Comes to your doorstep in a box.
Your best option may be something on Amazon. Not sure if you are looking for a queen or a king, but these are pretty affordable.
If you need a frame, they make those too.
Amazon has a wide range of affordable mattresses. Here’s one with good reviews, but there’s plenty of other options. And these bed frames support mattresses without the need for a box spring while also providing lots of space for under-bed storage.
I can't get over the feel of air mattresses. Dunno what it is, but I got this on Amazon and it feels just like my regular bed. I'm a light sleeper so sleep comfort on camping trips are my soft spot. I'll make sure to have a battery powered fan, a good pillow, and a comfy mattress.
I purchased this last year off of amazon and I have zero complaints. Ruptured cervical discs, spasms, the whole gambit. It helps tremendously, is affordable but not a cure.

I have the luno life too. I got tired of airing it up at the campsite and being that guy making the loud noise from the pump. Losing air in the middle of the night and cold spots. So I got a tri fold foam mattress. So. much .better. it's warmer, comfier, and easier to setup. Haven't looked back since.
