Have you heard of Lily Nichols? She wrote a book called “Real Food for gestational diabetes”- you can get a kindle version for 10 bucks. She is brilliant and very research based.
https://www.amazon.ca/Real-Food-Gestational-Diabetes-Conventional/dp/0986295000
It’s a bit alternative to the conventional approach, but soooo good. She has has a second book as well and a blog- you can check out the first three chapters of her second book out for free and see what you think!
Rapid Interpretation of EKG's, Sixth Edition https://www.amazon.com/dp/0912912065/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_JG6XAY77EVMW8ZQEMS92
It’s very simplistic and takes you step-by-step. You can skip some of the more advanced portions if all you need is ACLS.
FYI don’t look up the authors history. He was not a very good person
Dale Dubin's Rapid Interpretation of EKG's
Great ECG book
...and yes, for the inevitable comment coming, I know about his past. I don't support him, but this book is a great resource.
>d are quite good. I was also told as a crit care fellow that Stupor and Coma is one of the that all crit care docs should read, as it
tbh, it's been a while since covered derm. My favourite cardio book was on ECGs by Dubin. Apart from some infamous claims about the author, its a fairly short book (around 370 pages, big text), lots of pictures and very conceptual. hope this helps
This book is fantastic for that--extremely detailed.: https://www.amazon.ca/Evidence-Based-Physical-Diagnosis-Steven-McGee/dp/1437722075
There's also this: https://jamaevidence.mhmedical.com/Book.aspx?bookId=845
I cried on and off for days after my diagnosis. I felt much better and more in control when I started to test my blood sugar and had data points to understand my GD. And I found this book to be a helpful educational tool on GD (though it’s very poorly edited, be forewarned, lol): https://www.amazon.com/dp/0986295000/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_XPF447FH2GFAP6TFWNBH.
The Vagina Bible, by Dr. Jen Gunter.
I cannot recommend this book more. It's fun to read, but it's all based in science. She's a good person to follow on Twitter, too.
Great news - I hope you and Dr. D do resume you make a great team. For me Keto has been a god send. Went keto two years ago, dropped 90lbs and got control of my eating for the first time in my life. Also its amazing what it did for my health. I think it would be a great podcast to have Dr. Ken Berry or similar pro keto guy on for a counter view to you and Santana's position. If you are not familiar with Dr. Berry's book Ill link below:
https://www.amazon.com/Lies-My-Doctor-Told-Second/dp/162860378X
I def agree that keto is not right for everyone but a lot of changed lives out there...
I'll check out the new podcast I hope you guys discussed or will discuss energy systems again. I love listening to Santana walk through that hole ATP system stuff...still haven't figured it all out but I think I learn more each time I hear it.
Check out the book Misdiagnosis and Dual Diagnoses of Gifted Children and Adults. It has lots of information on being twice exceptional. The author also wrote a shorter article here, which is more focused on misdiagnosis.
I recommend putting the salt in capsules (OO capsules hold approximately 1gm each) or getting tablets. Here's the book I suggest:
That's so sweet of you to want to help! For me, the biggest thing is for people to educate themselves on my illness. Maybe you want to read this book:
Honestly, just knowing that you care is going to be the sweetest thing you can do. As time goes on and you understand the nuances of this person's particular symptoms, things will easily fall into place if you care.
Tim's class is very good. It will not be a waste of time. There is a VERY good text I recommend. It has been around forever. "Rapid Interpretation of EKG's" by Dubin. It is a short self paced study guide that starts out with "this is a P wave" and builds very quickly to advanced interpretation. I promise it will help you.

I am not sure if you will even have the time to read ECGs as an ER Tech. There’s this book by real infamous author you can pirate that med students use.

Renowned doctor John Abramson dedicates a chapter in his recent book, Sickening: How Big Pharma Broke American Health Care and How We Can Repair It, to the economics of behind insulin (in the U.S.). Hint: it has nothing to do with better health outcomes and everything to do with obscene profits.
This book should be required reading for every American who wonders why they pay so much for what the rest of the developed world pays so little.
I have type 1 diabetes and have found this dietician’s approach to nutrition very helpful for optimizing nutrients the baby needs and preventing problems. This link is to her book on gestational diabetes but she also has a general pregnancy one too.
I used Dubins. It seems to be a very standard read for people. I really enjoyed it and was a very easy read and helped explain everything simply I think.
Lemme know if you have any questions
If you were to ask this in an EMS sub, everyone would respond saying that the Dale Dubin book, Rapid Interpretation of EKGs, is all you need.
I don’t know about globalists, but big pharmacy absolutely impacts all of the below (in picture). Read Sickening, How Big Pharma Broke America. You can see the lawsuits and other sources he references, read them for yourself. They’re actual sources, not Alex Jones or Faux News. The impact big pharma and their money has on the information given to peer reviewed journals and FDA truly to impact everyone. It’s a problem. And though they don’t directly control doctors and nurses in the sense of getting a kick back, we (im a nurse) use the published information from the FDA and various medical journals to create evidence based practices. So, even though the doctors/nurses have the best intentions for their patients, our information sources are currently tainted by lobbyists money from big pharma.
I would recommend Rapid Interpretation of EKG’s 6th Edition. https://www.amazon.com/dp/0912912065/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_9WZC5NS0J56FHBAHF600 This book is amazing and breaks it down to really easily understand EKG’s and the heart itself.
The Dysautonomia Project is the title of a book my cardiologist recommended and I know other people with POTS have read it and found it helpful too. https://www.amazon.com/Dysautonomia-Project-Understanding-Autonomic-Physicians/dp/1938842243
> I trust peer-reviewed studies
you trust "peer-reviewed" studies that are paid for by the pharmaceutical company, who refuse to share the underlying data with the reviewers? Good luck with that, bro.

There are more conflicts of interest than you can imagine. I'd recommend you read "Sickening" for a glimpse. https://www.amazon.com/Sickening-Pharma-American-Health-Repair/dp/1328957810/ref=m_pd_aw_sbs_sccl_3/141-8130436-1280715?pd_rd_w=Fsg9b&content-id=amzn1.sym.0c279229-4118-4446-82ce-2a5493d1e222&pf_rd_p=0c279229-4118-4446-82ce-2a5493d1e222&am....
Lived experience, mom experience, and licensed psychologist here (but not YOUR psychologist).
This was the most helpful starting point resource on this for me: https://www.amazon.com/Misdiagnosis-Diagnoses-Gifted-Children-Adults/dp/1935067435
Have you tried any medication for it? Midodrine and ivabradine are drugs to consider. I've just started Midodrine and the difference is incredible.
I recommend reading this book: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dysautonomia-Project-Understanding-Autonomic-Physicians/dp/1938842243
You need to look into twice exceptionality (2E). My daughter was diagnosed as gifted, and it masked her ADHD-PI in her neuro-psych test. Puzzles keep her interest because she enjoys the challenge, and the signs of inattentiveness weren't showing up on a puzzle-based assessment. Neither does a messy room or constantly lost items at school, insomnia or lack of impulse control/self-regulation. Giftedness does not disappear in adulthood, so I would suspect yours is a similar situation. I found this book useful: https://smile.amazon.com/Misdiagnosis-Diagnoses-Gifted-Children-Adults/dp/1935067435/
Also this book was tremendously helpful. Read it in a few days once I got over my moping phase. https://www.amazon.com/Real-Food-Gestational-Diabetes-Conventional/dp/0986295000
And I packed a bunch of “no” foods for the hospital bag. They didn’t check my finger stick once becaUs mine had been diet controlled and they said it’s done once placenta is out. So I had vitamin water, chocolate caramels, chocolate covered power berries from TJ’s, etc. was such a treat.
I found the other book. I haven;t looked thorugh it yet.
https://www.amazon.com/Misdiagnosis-Diagnoses-Gifted-Children-Adults/dp/1935067435
I'm DMing you.
It's actually about Big Pharma controlling our medical system; people don't know how to take care of their own health because their doctors rely on the research from Big Pharma, and things like diet and exercise aren't easy to study or profitable for Big Pharma.
If people took care of their own health, they wouldn't need nearly so much healthcare, so access wouldn't be nearly as much of an issue.

This book might be helpful (there is a previous edition used for less $$) The author has several other books on 'gifted' kids that are helpful.
Diagrams tend to make things look like an open canal, which explains why you're expecting to see the 'opening'. But really, as another poster said, it's much more like a tube that's normally compressed flat.
In fact, to help conceptualize this, that's the reason why the gynecologist needs women to spread eagle themselves to the sky for an exam, and then has to use that cold af speculum to hold things open. That's literally the only time it would look like an 'opening', is with mechanical intervention.
I highly recommend grabbing a copy of The Vagina Bible. It's written in engaging, non medical terms and breaks down basically every myth and misconception.
You're normal :) Vaginas are like snowflakes. No two are alike and all are beautiful!
