Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - i no longer takes my problem too seriously after reading this

The End of Procrastination - it really helps to put your life in order
So, Fire and Blood is 640 pages long (75 of which are illustrations). There's some stats about it in the Amazon page:
It's the size of a regular ASOIAF book and weighs 2.3 pounds. A few of the stories are "unabridged" versions of stories he wrote in other books, but most of it is wholly original, and ends at the end of the Dance of Dragons war. This is also the "full story", the first part of the GRRMarillion, which isn't leaving out any parts to "no one knows" unless it's never going to be told. Interesting, and hopefully it'll tide people over a while. Hopefully it also explains some of the main series mysteries.
I'm really hoping we get that Winds book I've heard so much about soon, too. I just hope he doesn't rush it. Sure it's probably going to come out around 8 years after the previous book in the series, but... seems like it'll come out next year.
Dude, Martin released a new book like.. two weeks ago; and even if you want to quibble with that he also, technically, wrote some episodes for the HBO show.
Tyler Durden!
I recommend everyone read the original book: https://www.amazon.com/Fight-Club-Novel-Chuck-Palahniuk/dp/0393327345/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1535342861&sr=1-1
They cucked the ending for hollywood. Book is insanely good. And you can get it for like 5 bucks on the amazon link above
No, for some reason the link shows the normal book, if you look on the amazon page or click the hardcover tab on their website it is a new cover. Now I'm not saying it's as cool as other anniversary editions I've seen (I personally love the cover of the UK 20th Anniversary Edition of Assassin's Apprentice), but it is a completely new, if basic, cover.
It is on Amazon. Here's the share link from the page.
The Name of the Wind: 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition (Kingkiller Chronicle) https://www.amazon.com/dp/0756413710/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_0gZIzb5MYNK7P
Oh, no problem. Well, I linked the amazon link above, just in case I did win, it would make it easier to find.

But if it isn't available, the paper back edition is great. I'm old, like physical books, and my wife hogs the Kindle. :)
Daaaamn. I just saw the collection of all 3 on Amazon UK and I had no idea I wanted these until now. Didn't realise they had illustrations too, that makes them so much more worthwhile than just copy and pastes of the in-game texts. Same applies to the ESO set.
Here is a link to the book on Amazon. It's something like $10 on Kindle. "Locked On" is another good one from Clancy, and on of his last books written. Locked On takes place after R6 has pretty much been disbanded and it's original operators have retired.
Hey, great idea, I'm definitely saving this thread.
For now I can only think of Kings of the Wyld (completely unknown, I know). Amazon.
In this book, the MC is a middle-aged man who's happily married. Then his old buddy comes back and he leaves the wife behind to get the old band together for one last tour, baby.
Note: One of the friends has a small romance, two pages top.
That's true. I was glib.
What I'd actually want to see is an experienced prosecutor like Harris appointed to AG with her number 1 responsibility being the investigation into corruption if the Trump administration
Not Biden personally running down leads or anything
I got mine off barnes and nobles but you can get it there, Amazon, and I’m sure other sites amazon seems to be the cheapest as it’s on sale at the moment. You mean the memes about the Obama-Biden bromance?
You get that those were not making fun of Biden but celebrating the bromance right?
Also, if you really want to be entertained by the Biden Obama friendship someone also wrote crime novels about them.
You're welcome.

See my initial comment, I got the books online, did some editing and went to a bookbinder (made only one).
It was years ago, since then Bethesda released an official collection of Skyrim books
now an official one is available in a beautiful cover and with breathtaking illustrations
https://www.amazon.com/Skyrim-Library-Volumes-III-Box/dp/1783293233/ref=sr\_1\_1?crid=29GGYVY1XMF3I&keywords=skyrim+books&qid=1659363653&sprefix=skyrim+boo%2Caps%2C190&sr=8-1
Yeah Amazon id recommend looking at this Im not sure it’s what your looking for but personally I can’t recommend it enough it’s a beautiful leather cover and it’s full of concept art and stories and the like and it’s on sale I own all three issues and can’t praise them enough
The Dog Stars by Peter Heller is one of the best postapocalyptic books I've ever read.
Fully, sad, violent, realistic and based in a real place in the US
https://www.amazon.com/Dog-Stars-Vintage-Contemporaries/dp/0307950476
This is where I got it. Price may depend on shipping and the options. Mine is hardcover but there is also a paperback and an e-book version.
The Skyrim Library - Volumes I, II & III (Box Set) https://www.amazon.de/dp/1783293233/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_i_V9EKH1JNKZPNQY7S75TB?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I recently bought this:
The Skyrim Library - Volumes I, II & III (Box Set) https://www.amazon.com/dp/1783293233/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_CSN8YZ6CS1DDHYSPZT5X
I love it since I can read all the in game books whenever I want and they organize the books so numbered books are grouped together.
Personally, I think this cover would look sick with a font like (Kings of the Wyld)[https://www.amazon.com/dp/0316362476/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_a_DBDA6WJ1AZKC4NJJBCBX]. Your art is fantastic, I just went and bought your first book because this cover intrigued me so much.
It’s the Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
For more insights, I would recommend picking up a (really) good book:
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy https://amazon.com/dp/0345391802/
Been almost 8 years of waiting for me.
This is going to be my bday present to myself ... Hopefully. It's beautiful.

Yeah as far as I've played i can agree that its basically any Bethesda open world game but still i feel kinda shameful cause ive had in that map a long time now and even worse my uncle bought me a set of skyrim books
The books.
I always create characters who, while not exactly me, are at least people I can relate to, and I can certainly relate to coming home from the shops with a huge pile of books. I don't know why I began the magpie collection of books in Skyrim; a lot of them aren't actually very interesting. (Have you ever sat down and read "A Dance In Fire?" Not exactly Hemingway.) But when the Hearthfire DLC was released, the first addition I built was a library.
There's no quest to stock the library, but seeing it fill up has a certain gratification to it. It makes an interesting measure of game progress. I started dragging home every book I saw, selling the duplicates, arranging them in alphabetical order. Recipes in the file box, letters in the little chest on the table, Elder Scrolls and Black Books in the safe. My character had a hobby.
I made playing amateur librarian so much a part of that game that I went to Amazon and spent real money on this. (I didn't spend that much; mine only cost $50.) Worth every nickel.
The library holds 307 books; having it fully stocked gave that old barn of a manor house a certain warmth.
Kings of the Wyld is more on the lots-of-obstacles style you mention for sci-fi. Also has a really great hateable villain like Umbridge. And is just a super great book.
I would expect you will see less and less of the monolithic evil going forward too. There's a big push towards complex characters, as well as moving away from 'this whole race/species/people is/are evil' sort of storytelling. Inherent evil is a concept that seems to be going away.
