The Thursday Boot Company has some decent reviews over on r/goodyearwelt. Some QC issues though so be wary.
A higher priced option is always Red Wing iron rangers.
I need some recommendations for a winter boot. I really like the look of thursday boots captain and the Amazon reviews are great. However I seem to be getting mixed vibes everywhere else. I need something thats able to keep my feet dry and withstand Canadian winters and snow. I'd like to stay under $275 canadian but I don't mind spending a little more if the quality and durability is woth it. Most of the wear time will be just between my car and wherever I'm going. I have a set of work boot for if i plan to be outside longer. Any input would be really appreciated thanks in advance.

I dress pretty casual for work. Usually Dockers or some sort of slacks, sometimes a polo, sometimes a button up shirt sleeve long sleeve, or short. I was wondering if these boots are too dressy for the kind of casual wear I stated above. Link is the boot in question.

Looking to pick up a first pair of work boots. I have done some research and think that the Eastland High Fidelity boots would be a good choice to break me into the work boot scene. Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they a good investment for that amount of money?
I finally found some boots that were almost exactly what I was looking for. Thing is I couldn't find them in my size (7.5). Does anyone know of any good alternatives with a similar style and price point? Any help is appreciated, thanks
are the 1000 miles great? i haven't heard as much about those as i have about the iron rangers....

My only experience with Eastland brand are these cap-toe boots. They were not even worth the $50 I spent on them. After only a few light wears, they were extremely creased. Given the cheap leather, I was expecting creasing, but these are almost unsightly. I own both Thorogoods and Chippewas that I have beat the hell out of and they both look great still. I would recommend saving up al ittle more and getting either of the aforementioned boots.
Thats a really pretty glamour shot. You can buy them here.
