Good.
I bought a "Carhart" beanie from one of their prefered vendors that said it was authentic and in-stock only to be immediately notified after purchase it was out of stock and I would get it in a few weeks. So I tried canceling the order, but the vendor kept dogging and Amazon was no help. 3 weeks later it shows it in an envelope from China and ends up up being a thin, teeny piece of fabric with a cheap crooked patch. So I file a claim saying the vendor sold me fake product and I want a full return. I get no reply and resubmit. The vendor gets defensive and says I'm harassing him when I call him a fraud. I reach out again to Amazon but get no response.
Frustrated, I message Carhart on Facebook and tell them that Amazon is profiting off the sale of fake merch and wont do anything about it. I get a response in a few minutes and they're sending me a real beanie at no charge with a prepaid envelope for me to send them the fake item and all packaging. It's sad how quick Carhart helps me when I never gave them any money while Amazon and Freddy Fraudster in China can't be bothered.
Long story short, fuck Amazon because his store is still up: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002G9UDYG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I found it on Amazon. The price right now is WAY lower than what I got it for. I got robbed. It's going for about $20 right now, I bought it for about $80. I live in Canada, and the link I gave doesn't ship to Canada. I think THAT's the reason it cost me $80 to ship to Canada from some other person where as the States gets it for $20. That's a 400% markup. Absolutely criminal. Still love the hat, soooooo I'm not gonna complain much. I'd rather not be butthurt whenever I look at my new favourite hat
Another neat thing is that the dirt and blood is applied by hand (not real blood or dirt). So every single hat is unique in the way the blood shows up on the hat. You may have some splatter near the left of the hat, but I'll have it on the right, see? https://www.amazon.com/Clementines-Custom-Blood-Zombies-Unisex/dp/B01N13T0L8/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_193_bs_tr_t_1/140-8600420-5606207?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=PD41GVD7RYTGKVASNYZM
I preferred these. The etsy/cloth route definitely looks cooler with the customizable fabric, but the fabric didn't breath well, especially for a longer shift. These bad boys look like a do-rag, but are comfortable all shift long.
Skull Cap - https://www.amazon.com/Headshion-Skull-Cap-Multifunctional-Headwear/dp/B07P1FXRYV/
Been working well for me...
This.
OP get a sleeping cap. You can get them on Amazon, it doesn't matter which one, but it will hold your hair in place. Added bonus, no bed head.
It's a bit annoying having to wear a cap at night, but the alternative is having your hair shift. Here's the one I have:
Something else, you might have to reattach every 2-weeks. It depends on a lot of factors; lifestyle, activity, your skin, adhesive, etc.
I can make tape last 3-weeks, but even at 2-week it's a bit messy, so for me, weekly was best.
Doh! Thought I fixed that...
This is what I meant -

AKA - Headshion Skull Caps for Men Women, Multi-Pack Multifunctional Headwear Bike Hard Hat Helmet Liner Beanie Sleep Caps
(but I also like the Manta slim mask for blackout)
There are a ton of them on amazon, here is an example:

All of them have that silly leather patch on the side that has a play/volume button on it. I just want one that doesnt have that feature.
I always wear a cap under my helmet. If it's cool, I wear a turtle fur one cap. But all other times I wear a Halo skull cap. Have several just so I can always have a clean one at the ready.
BTW: The last one I bough was in 2016 and still have two in service.
Get one of these and wash that instead. Can’t recommend this enough. No sweat in your eyes (at all) and no sunburn on your head.

If silk/satin pillow cases don't work for you, try a sleeping cap. I use a beanie sleeping cap and I can toss and turn all I want, without worrying about my hair system.
Here's the one I used:

It's on sale right now for $13. I may buy a second one just because.
Also try this beanie it has headphones built in SoundBot SB210 HD Stereo Bluetooth 4.1 Wireless Smart Beanie Headset Musical Knit Headphone Speaker Hat Speakerphone Cap, 5Hrs Music Streaming & 7Hrs Hands-Free Talking, Built-in Mic (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0163N2T38/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_ZNXQCCNMPMP74710RRJ0
You will want a polyester base layer for the coldest days of Jan/Feb. It keeps you warm, and more importantly, it keeps your sweat at bay. I like Climate Smart. You can also look into flannel or sherpa lined jeans.
And I always recomend the Carhartt 2-in-1 hat. Lived here 40 years, its the best general use winter hat I've encountered.

For Alaska: either a trapper’s hat or, more typically and affordably, a Carhart watch cap / beanie
Engineer here. I had a similar need for a professional look, so I ordered several wigs from wigs.com and kept my two favorites.
Raquel Welch brand synthetic wigs are great. Mine are not my usual color or style, but I think they look better than those trying to mimic my Pre-cancer look. Their “if you dare” model in pale lavender is my fun wig...I love it.
Wigs are not super comfortable, but you stop noticing them after awhile. The nylon caps help. But like the others, I go bald (or fuzz now, I’m in the baby duckling phase of regrowth) or wear comfy caps like this most of the time. HTH, Good luck to your mom! 🧡
Thanks for that. It has to be natural fiber and can't be synthetic right? Or fire will melt it to the skin etc. A lot of them are polyester. What do you guy think about this one https://www.amazon.com/Headshion-Skull-Cap-Multifunctional-Headwear/dp/B07P1FXRYV/ref=sr_1_20_sspa
here's a link to the more tattered, blood stained hat if you wanted it https://www.amazon.com/Clementines-Custom-Blood-Zombies-Unisex/dp/B01N13T0L8

This the best that you can find. It’s really sick, looks like taken straight out of the game. And those blood stains...applied manually so each piece is different
Hope the link works
I use the VR cover basic set with the foam/pleather facial interface. For the headstrap i use this skull cap if its a really intense game. Earphones I've never had a problem with sweat (that I know of). For that you may want to use oculus earbuds instead.
I have a head about the same size. I use a halo cap under my helmet.
It works quite well.
EDIT: Here's a link https://www.amazon.com/Halo-Headbands-Skull-Cap-White/dp/B00318BKHK/
They have other kinds. I've only tried the one linked above but the other styles probably work well too.
We have two Rifts in the house, we bought a few sets of these and have them in a box. Bonus - everyone looks silly even when they're not playing.
Um i can't believe the price on this hat
I saw it on someone's wishlist idk who but I'm probably just buying them it now
Edit: aw the "free shipping" was a lie
If it's sore because of the cold, try something like this.
I have a bright yellow one I wear when it's 10F>, and the facemask is fairly easy to breathe through. It's also comfortable when the mask is folded up just as a stocking cap.
i use the https://www.amazon.com/Halo-Headbands-Skull-Cap-Black/dp/B00318BKGQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1509994986&sr=8-1&keywords=sweat+cap&dpID=41vogebE8QL&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch and the 6mm fake leather foam pad, i sweat alot but i havent damage my headset yet, the cap helps capture alot of the sweats from your forehead so only your face sweat has any chance to get into hmd. combined with a fan blowing at your play space will help alot. Alot of people ask or wonder, if that skull cap will make you hotter, not really, the fabric on top is very breathable
Ummm, the cheapest thing on my under $5 list is this weird Cthulu beanie.
Ummm, the cheapest thing on my under $5 list is this weird Cthulu beanie.
I've got one of these that I use, and it works great! It also helps keep the HMD clean by keeping the oils or hair products from getting all over the straps.
Also, get yourself one of those sweat band skull cap things that footballers wear under their helmets. It really helped me.
Mine looks like this, although it was much when I bought mine. Halo Headbands Skull Cap Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00318BKGQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_wfdizbKYKTH5Z
