We have people, held in Guantanamo bay as Terrorists right now based on the fact that they were found to be in possession of a Casio F-91w watch. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casio_F-91W#Claimed_use_in_terrorism
I got one off amazon and wear it to spark conversation: http://www.amazon.com/CASIO-F91W-1-Casual-Sport-Watch/dp/B00006I551
That's how fucked up our government has become.
It's a $5 Casio watch that is/was sold at the shoppettes and hasn't changed design in 30+ years. Somebody posted a BMT video from the 80's recently and I saw a few of those watches in it.
https://www.amazon.com/CASIO-F91W-1-Casual-Sport-Watch/dp/B00006I551
And it's not the one in the picture above.
I was searching for the MGSV watch on r/watches and had to make a post!
The Casio ae1200 is $15 on Amazon and will be a great addition for cosplayers or people trying to subtlety pretend they're snake or bond.
Casio Men's AE1200WH-1A World Time Multifunction Watch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0094B79PA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Plr2yb6EZBC5W
It's obviously not exactly the same but gets you a similar look for way cheaper
(Doesn't actually speed up time)
Didn't even spend the extra $12 to upgrade from plastic to silver plastic
Yes, but it depends on what I'm doing. I've spent most of my career working in a bar, so I've always needed something that can take a beating, get soap on it, time stuff for batches, etc etc. In that regard, it's actually a tool that I feel unprepared if I forget at home.
But yes, I work out with mine, I scuba dive with mine, I wear mine around the house during covid, I garden with mine, I travel with mine, and unless I'm wearing a suit it's my default watch. I really like the "casioak". but my current watch already ticks enough boxes that I don't feel like I need to replace it. You can def spend more on a watch, and I think when you figure cost-per-wear it's seriously low.
This is the one I wear, it's a tank, but's all black and it pretty much impossible to destroy.
If you're cool with a digital watch, the Casio F-91W is one of my favorites. It's only like $10 on Amazon and it's really thin. I wear it just about every day. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00006I551/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Nn0qxbGQ6RMDF
Barely under $80 but I love my G-Shock 6900-1. I've owned two. The first one I had for about 6 years and went on three deployments to Iraq with me and still functioned flawlessly, till I lost it on vacation. Went for a couple years without a watch and just picked up the same model from Amazon. Couldn't be happier with it (again).
For sale is this discontinued Casio EF-503D-1AV. Great little speedmastard. $75 shipped within USA.

> I'm not sure i've seen that Citizen before.
While this watch is easily worth the $113 that they're asking, I cannot stop myself from gloating for a moment: I got it on amazon Prime Day for $74.
I get all my Gshocks on Amazon. Not sure how good amazon is in the UK though. There's the normal 5610 with the red stripe around it,
A negative display 5610 (I'd stay away from negative display watches as the legibility is less than perfect at lower light levels) https://www.amazon.com/Casio-GW-M5610-1BJF-G-Shock-Solar-Digital/dp/B009S13XJC/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1541711577&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=gw+5610&dpPl=1&dpID=41ZQVhVFUOL&ref=plSrch
And a green tinted one that I cant find the link to but it's probably not readily available.
Ah, I was wondering (saw the ...10-1BJF on the tag). So it's this one on Amazon Prime that I can get in 2-days? Does the date actually look like it does on the Amazon page (tiny individual dots) or are they solid numbers like your picture shows?
I personally love my G-shock i own, ive bought 3 in the last 12 years. They are very durable, lightweight, and have a good variety so it should be easy to find one to your liking. The only reason ive bought 3 is because either the batteries die and i was too lazy to figure out how to replace it, or i was just looking to get a newer one. Very reasonable i think the last one i bought was $50.
Looks like amazon has the one i personally use for $41
Both the metal and the plastic versions of F-91W (and A159W) are very cheap at around $20 and are very tough and cheap to replace even if you somehow manage to break one.

Just a warning, these aren't Seiko's but...
Citizen eco drive chrono, 39 mm, casual, lug width is 21 or 20 mm not sure
Then the BM-8180 - 37mm citizen eco drive military style watch. I own this watch, but a bit small for my taste in a non dress watch (7 inch wrist). Plus the lug width is 18mm, also a bit narrow. A popular watch however that might fit your needs. I still wear it from time to time.
And before you all go bashing me saying this is a Seiko forum (I have since converted when I purchased my SKX007 after my BM8180), no one else has really given him anything so I figured I would throw some other suggestions in the hat. If you do a google image search for either model + nato (example being "BM8180 nato"), you will get some examples of the watch on nato straps. Either watch would work on a nato.
*edit - also let it be known both of these are quartz/solar watches. Not sure if you wanted it to be an automatic.
Or
I can’t believe they are so expensive now. Damn inflation. I like those or the classic squares. It’s really personal preference, but the two I sent look like what the seals got instead of Rolexes.
Anyhow, it won’t do fitness tracking. I wear a Gshock and a cheap fitbit. Both combined are still affordable.
The g shock is tough and waterproof and won’t run out of batteries. If you’re getting muddy or something, you can take off the fitbit and still have a watch.
I’m almost 40, so most of my life a running watch was a fitness watch.
If liking the look of this, maybe a Citizen Field Chrono that looks similar and may be more suitable for long term wear. (Not so fragile)
Something off top of my head might be the Citizen AT0200-05E, solar powered chrono so no worry about using the chrono and eating up battery power and it's a Citizen, well built and comes with 5 year warranty plus an additional year if you register it online with Citizen.
Thanks! Hit a few recently. 405 DL, 315x11 (today) squat. Once I hit either 315x2 or 335x1 bench I'll cut. Once I hit 15% bf and a 6:15 mile time I'll reward myself with this
I envy you. You found a gem. Congratulations my guy!!!
Then again, I haven't really done a ton of dating so maybe I just need to put myself out there more. I like being single and owning land, but then again having a strong woman to share this with would be a lot of fun.

Casio G shock. I've had the same tough solar on my wrist now since 2013. It's been all around the world, in oceans, rivers, mud, blood, dirt, welding, shooting, hiking, racing and crashing motorcycles and mountain bikes. Good for 20 bar (660 ft of water) It showed a low battery coming out of the box in June of '13, and the solar cells in the face filled it up. It's never had a low battery since, and It's never had a battery change At around midnight it pings a signal from the atomic clock and sets its own time to the millisecond (same as gps satilites)

Casio AE-1200WH-1AVCF I wore this watch for a solid 2 years as my daily driver and absolutely loved how it ended up with all its scuffs and scratches. Casio Men's GW6900-1 "G-Shock" Atomic Digital Sport Watch
Also, if anyone wants to check it out, the GW6900 is at a unusually low price of $76.50 here: Amazon GW6900 This is the “same price” compared with the DW6900-ws1 that I had just recently ordered. So I know it’s a special colourway but I prefer function over form to an extent. Thanks for the confirmation that this is a good move friends!
I’m a big fan of digital Casio watches. I currently wear this one . I wear it because it looks like a spy watch, and it’s nickname is “Casio Royale” for James Bond
Hello! A quick note on terminology: “automatic” refers to a watch that uses the mechanical uncoiling of a spring to regulate time. No electricity involved. The automatic refers to the rotor that “recharges” the watch by the movement of the wearer’s wrist.
Regardless, on your watch request, you should really look at Casio’s enormous G Shock line with models like this one. There really are far too many to list, but I guarantee they’ll have a configuration that you’re looking for and they are basically indestructible.
Citizen AT0200-05E. Solar powered quartz, so it's accurate, robust and hassle free. 100m water resistance and 39mm case size.
No problem! I've seen some people modding the World Clock Casios (Same acrylic material straps having the same proboem) with cheap nato straps off Amazon to keep them going for a while. I think they look pretty interesting that way, but once you get the size of your watch strap, you can find any strap in that size to try out. I've even thought about a fancy leather strap for one of my Casios. I did the same as you, where I just bought another watch when my first one's strap broken. Now both watch's straps have broken and it's such a shame to me to waste the faces because I really do like them and their look so I've been looking to find a way to keep them in the rotation.
I have this one and it's great. Listed as a 40mm and it wears small.
GW6900-1.
It’s got the atomic syncing and solar of the GWM5619-1, but in the same form factor as the DW6900. Mine is on the way from Amazon right now as a complement to my square!
They're both CASIO watches you can get for cheap. He's saying he prefers the F91W, because it is very inexpensive, but also light, thin and wearable compared to other watches, like the CASIO A158, which is a bit heavier and thicker.
F91W:
A158:
You could change that.
Whether you buy the cheapest "gshock" or the most expensive gshock, all gshocks are tested to survive everything. Your bones will most likely break before your gshock cracks. With that said, theres a few gshock channels on youtube that focuses that difference. You only need to tell the time and solar, right? The dw6900 should be enough. It gets kinda wonky when you want like a 25th, 35th, or 50th anniversary one for a metal screwdown case back. Unnecessary, really but more for gshock enthusiasts. Theres also bracelets for that extra great look instead of the traditional silicon strap it comes on.
Can snag a Casio on amazing for like 12 bucks and they last forever. Even if it lasts you a year it’s a cheap easily replaceable watch. My go to surf watch.
For $20 you can't go wrong buying another Casio. There are so many to list. But I've had these two and they are great.
If you want to get a cheap nylon band to replace the plastic one, they're usually less than $10 on Amazon, as well, making the whole package less than $30.
I've worn mine through 2 tough mudders and take it kayaking, ocean swimming, hiking, etc, and it's never failed me. Absolute favorite watch I've ever owned.
https://www.amazon.ca/Casio-GW-9400-1CR-Master-Stainless-Steel/dp/B00GFYYKLA they are going around $294. is it legit? should i pull the trigger?
Also a good option if you prefer the look of the 6900 series. Same features as 5610 (solar, atomic)

The Casio F91W - about ~$10 is still a firm favourite with watch enthusiasts and has been around for years. Light and accurate.
For the greater part of last and this year, the Casio G-shock GA 2100, was extremely popular and was constantly sold out, particularly the black and grey one or the completely black (stealth) model. On Amazon the price went from ~$69.00 to the current ~$207.00. The red version is still cheaper at ~$129.00
IIRC Bill Gates also wears Casio Sports watch.
I got it on Amazon in 2014 for about $160... they have discontinued this version the Mako 1. The Mako 2 and Mako 3 are now available but they don’t have the the pusher above the crown anymore. I think you can still get one on amazon below:

Description: Hello there. Up for raffle is a brand new Casio G-Shock Rangeman GW-9400. You all know this watch. This is the best G-Shock to own and take along with you during your adventures. Got a bunch of sensors and stuff. Comes with box and papers.
Price Justification: Amazon
I have the blacked-out 5610 and it definitely sacrifices some legibility for that sweet xX_T A C T I C A L_Xx aesthetic. In a well-lit environment it's fine, but in a dim room or outside from dusk to dawn you pretty much have to use the backlight or rotate the watch so it's directly facing your eyeballs. There's an auto-illumination function that works off of an accelerometer, but I find it to be a little bit too sensitive.
Also the display is definitely not as stark as it looks in the Amazon picture. Here it is in normal office lighting.
We’re on the same page with the atomic. This was my initial pic but I’m open to others.
Believe these go for $19.96 with prime free shipping most of the time.

If anyone has a used one of these for cheaper! Thanks!
> You went too far lol a good basic watch is like $30 if you don't want some childish low quality crap that won't keep time and will break before the battery wears out.
Casio F91W, $10.97 on Amazon.
>Plus plenty of people buy watches in the hundreds not for fashion but for tech like a self-winding watch that never needs batteries.
Self-winding mechanical watches need regular maintenance by a professional to keep time accurately. Quartz beats mechanical for all practical purposes besides fashion.
>Is what it is but $10 is a joke lol. $10 is like saying "you never need a PC worth more than $150, anything else is fashion" lol
PC parts actually have measurably better performance when you spend more. A radio-synchronized digital watch is vastly more accurate than any mechanical watch ever could be, and they're cheaper, with minimal maintenance requirements.
Probably not what you are looking for, but the Casio Royale might work.
Hmm don't see it available on Gshock UK site. Amazon UK is 425 pounds: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Casio-GW-9400-1CR-Master-Stainless-Steel/dp/B00GFYYKLA/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?keywords=casio+rangeman&qid=1570817911&sr=8-8
Just got a new job and several months ago lost my previous watch, the citizen chronograph. I will miss that watch as I owned it for over five years through some very trying times in my mid 20s. With the new job I decided it was time for a replacement / upgrade.
This is the Signature ”Courageous” Diver with dark blue dial on stainless steel, released in 2011 in the USA, but made in Japan. Features include eco drive obviously, a five year power reserve, perpetual calendar, highly accurate quartz movement, water resistance to 300 meters, anti-reflective coated sapphire crystal, screw link bracelet, rotating diver’s bezel, very powerful lume, etc.
It feels great on the wrist, substantial yet not too heavy or bulky, (though keep in mind my wrists are 8” and I lift weights regularly, so it might be more substantial if you’re on the skinnier side of the spectrum). The sapphire is very high quality and appears not to exist 97% of the time. Perpetual calendar was a little tricky to set, but now that it is all I have to do is adjust for daylight savings time twice a year and that’s the only time I’ll ever have to adjust this watch.
Oh, and the face is beautifully detailed, creating a rainbow-like shimmer in the sun. Very legible and spectacular to look at, especially outdoors.
Shoutout to Nick Shabaz on YouTube whose very detailed and informative review helped tremendously in my product research and in ultimately choosing this watch. No regrets.

Itse suoritin intin casion g-shock 6900-1 ranteessa. Kätevä peli kun ottaa auringosta virtaa. Kello on kestänyt myös -27°C ja 80°C:n lämmön sekä sukelluksen 200-metriin.
Hm, seems like you're a fan of the slightly bigger, bulkier G-Shocks. In that case, I think you're crazy if you go for anything else but the 9400 Rangeman.
Thermometer, barometer, altimeter, compass, solar powered, atomic syncing, for $200?, Hands down it blows nearly every other G-Shock out of the water. Feature-wise and bang for buck it literally cannabalizes half of the G-Shock lineup.
No kidding, the only reason I bought a Frogman instead is because I didn't like the red highlights on this one.
Has a solar charge that lasts forever, compass, altimeter, temp sensor, plots barometric changes on a graph, but most importantly, has various timezones including UTC and I can flip between that and local. Also it syncs nightly to an atomic clock.
I wear a Citizen AT0200-05E. Durable, waterproof, solar powered, looks good, and I got mine on Amazon for like 90 bucks.
Here's a Citizen eco-drive chronograph for $106. Link
I like it a lot. Its the Japanese version and it has a retro style, which is why it so much more expensive than the other atomic clock versions. I have been wearing it everyday for 2 years now.
A budget would be very helpful.
You could buy a handful of cheap aliexpress watches and rotate as needed, or do the same thing with Casio watches.
Depending on how slim your wrists are, you could consider a G-Shock (maybe something from the Baby-G range).
Another vote for Casio. I use the G-Shock GW6900-1. It is waterproof, has illumination, solar powered, and syncs nightly with the atomic clock. Also, it's cheap for a G-Shock.
https://www.amazon.com/G-Shock-GW6900-1-Tough-Solar-Black/dp/B00284ADAI
No problem! I wasn't sure what your 'super cheap' budget was, but if you want something more than that, your standard Casio G-Shock is not much more.
Casio F91W..The ultimate watch that you can take anywhere for under 10$!!
https://www.amazon.co.uk/CASIO-F91W-1-Casual-Sport-Watch/dp/B00006I551
Taken it swimming in sea, kayaking, rock jumping, skiing and wear it to the gym daily.
I know you said automatic - but here's a quartz that might have the look you're going for @ well below $500:
Casio Men's EF503D-1AV "Edifice" Stainless Steel Watch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003URWNOG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_H6VCybPYVB021
I've owned all of the listed watches in this post, and I can say the most economical choice would be a G-Shock, by Casio.
I've ruined every watch that wasn't a G-Shock while searching for something stylish, and just gave up. Toughness or GTFO, lol.
The model I wear daily has solar-charging, so you won't ever have to replace a battery. It's pretty much the wrist-powered watch style, but replaced with a tiny PV-panel on the face.
It's $82, so $32 over your budget, but well worth the money.
G-Shock GW6900-1 Men's Tough Solar Black Resin Sport Watch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00284ADAI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_4D.Ayb29C7VEQ
I just bought the similar model to the white one you have but in black. I haven't received it yet though. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00284ADAI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It is the 6900-1 and is solar and has the atomic clock. After 6 years how is the solar battery? That was my main concern.
There's over a dozen Casio watches under $30 that will serve you just fine.
Good example this one would be hard to beat:
Has this been on sale recently? It used to go for like $45 but I missed those sales.
https://www.amazon.com/CASIO-F91W-1-Casual-Sport-Watch/dp/B00006I551
I have another model that looks similar. It's been I think six or more years since I bought it. Tough as hell, only changed the bands once, and the original battery is still inside it.
Start by checking out the r/watches buying guide for watches under $250. There are a lot of good recommendations in there. The Casio MDV106 can be had for less than $70 (and often goes on sale for less than $50) and it does a good job of giving a Rolex Submariner-ish look without being a straight-up copy. You mentioned that you like the look of the Omega Speedmaster, so take a look at the Casio EF503D for a similar look and much lower price. If you're looking for a mechanical, there are lots of good options listen in the buying guide, like the Seiko SKX007, which shares some visual similarities to the Rolex Sub, but very much has it's own distinct design as well.
The black negative is definitely real nice :) But I didn't have the extra $165 to put down on it. Maybe later down the line I will pick that up to have.
Here's mine: http://imgur.com/QCiVESK
The G-Shock GW-9400-1CR "Rangeman" and I picked it up on Amazon here:
If you plan on heading into EM, something preferably easy to hose off with soap and water during/after a shift. I prefer G-Shocks. They are rubber, super durable, easy to clean, and $40-$60.
It's not the initial style you were thinking about, but just for some variety, the Casio edifice series is pretty well received around here, and they have a good quality chronograph on sale currently for $39.99. If you like how it looks, you can't go wrong. With a leather band this thing is very pleasing to the eye.
http://www.amazon.com/Casio-EF503D-1AV-Edifice-Stainless-Steel/dp/B003URWNOG
I have this G Shock. It's a tank. It autosyncs with the atomic clock for increased accuracy (so you never have to set it, even for DST, time travel, etc.) and it's solar powered.
So what I'm gathering for basically all G Shocks is that the GW models have Multi Band and just the G models do not and a few other little things. And I think I want the GW9400
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GFYYKLA/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_EWlixbT1YSKZA
Also, I'm noticing that the Mudman does not have illumination? This was one of the things I liked about it.
You've been so much help already and I can tell you really like some G Shocks, but I have one more question.
Why do you like the Mudman over the Rangeman? It seems like the general consensus online is that people thing the Mudman is best G. But to me it seems like the Rangeman has more practical features.
i have the casio edifice and i love it. the case is the same size as the mako, but it lays on the wrist very well and doesn't look too big. the mako looks very bulky on my wrist. the casio has solid links too if you're into bracelets. aside from the casio, i would stay under 41mm tho. my wrists are 6.5".
I bought this watch on Nov 10th 2015 from Amazon. It is in mint condition no scratches or dings. So for practical purposes it is brand new. I am letting this one go because it does not get any wrist time. It was an impulsive purchase and I’ve only worn it a handful of times.
It comes with everything you see in the pictures. I’ve also included a free nato strap and the original strap, which I have never worn.
I am looking to get $105 + shipping. US only.
Specifications:
Japanese movement
Case size: 41mm
Material: Stainless steel
Water Resistance: 100m
Functions: Chronograph, hours, minutes, seconds, and date
Is this the watch you mentioned as being completely silent?
That is a Casio. I thought eco-drive was a Citizen watch feature?
How do I remove the bracelet on my Casio edifice EF503D? I see pictures of it on leather or NATO straps here all the time, but I can't for the life of me find a way to get the springbar out. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003URWNOG
For comparison, here's the same watch on amazon. At the current massdrop price, it's not a deal (with 7.50 shipping). At the lowest price, probably an ok deal if you were already going to buy this exact watch.
Not sure what the deal will be but Orient Black Mako lightning deal starts in 24 minutes (12:55pm EST) for Prime members (early access)
Orient Blue Mako at 4:55pm EST (early access for Prime members)
I'm looking for a digital watch that is under 50 dollars and has a stop watch function and doesnt have a bunch of ugly bumps with buttons sticking out everywhere. Something like this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GAYQLI?keywords=watches&qid=1448565127&ref_=sr_1_17&sr=8-17 minus all the wrighting all over it and the bumps on the sides.
This is a relist - my previous buyer sent the money to the wrong paypal address and the recipient won't return the money. :(
So here's the listing again. Thanks!
Here's a Casio G-Shock "Rangeman" Master of G GW-9400-1. This thing is awesome: Solar powered, atomic syncing, altimeter, barometer, thermometer, compass, sunrise/sunset, 1000-hour chronograph, 200m water resistant, perpetual calendar, alarm functions, keeps data history, and it's a G-Shock so it's indestructible and weighs nothing. Despite its size it sits very comfortably on a wrist. I have a small wrist (6.3") and it is very comfortable and in my opinion doesn't look too big.
Here is the Casio product page.
Here it is on amazon, currently $190.
The watch has three minor little cosmetic bumps near the button that activates the light. Other than that you're basically buying a new watch. I'm selling this one because I want to upgrade to one of the new Mudman watches, and I really have to scratch for the funds to do so. :)
You'll get what's in the pictures: Watch, metal tin (which has the padded inserts still) and the manual for the 3410 module. I thought I had (but could not find) the cardboard box that the metal tin comes in.
I'm looking for $160 paypal (g&s). That price includes shipping.
I am open to offers (pm those to me) but I'm not looking for trades (unless you have a really compelling g-shock).
Thanks!

I have a $175 Citizen watch which I then put a steel band on. Not my photo but you get the idea
Solar powered so I never have to think about a battery.
GW6900 is probably one of the best values. It even has atomic timekeeping so it'll automatically set itself. It doesn't, however, have analog hands if that's what you're looking for. If you're willing to stretch your budget a tad, and still have the same features, you might like the AWGM100 or one of its variants.
It's the EF 503. I think its actually a really cheap one (http://www.amazon.com/Casio-EF503D-1AV-Edifice-Stainless-Steel/dp/B003URWNOG). I got it for $10 on ebay though after a few weeks hunting.
ebay protip for these: casios are super not a popular watch it seems, so focus on searching for 'casio chronograph'. You're bound to come across somebody selling one model-less.
I'm looking for a nice watch, I really like these two: (I understand they are very different, and use these as reference points not specific models)
I would like a single watch I can trade out the bands between steel and leather. One that would look good with either type of band, does it matter or can I go with either style?
$30 shipped to CONUS. It's been worn less than 10 times. I thought I wanted a watch for the gym, but I found that I don't like wearing a watch while working out, and this guy sat for a long time. Looking to find it a nice new home.
Here's an Amazon link for the details on this guy.
It's in like-new condition minus some dust from not being used. I have a 5 year old account on WUS, but I only made one purchase there a while back and I'm not that active there.
If you want an automatic movement, how about a Orient Mako dive watch? I don't know much about them, but for the price they seem to be pretty well thought of in this subreddit. Citizen and Seiko have some nice solar-powered quartzes in that range, too.
Non-mobile: Here ya go.
^That's ^why ^I'm ^here, ^I ^don't ^judge ^you. ^PM ^/u/xl0 ^if ^I'm ^causing ^any ^trouble. ^WUT?
G-shock Rangeman (GW-9400-1CR)
Has altimeter, barometer, a worthless thermometer, and compass. I say the thermometer is worthless, because it's essentially going to show you the temperature that the watch is - which is heavily influenced by it being wrapped around a warm wrist. You need to have it off your body for around 15 min to gauge the ambient temp. The rest is awesome though!
Which of these watches should I buy?
