The Saucony socks I got on Amazon are cheaper than that. I think it was like $15 for 6 pair, and they're great.
Might be the pads of your toes bunching up against your footpad.
Try using toe socks as liners and see if it helps.
Try some Ezeefit ankle booties. I just had a pair come in today (2mm). When briefly testing them, they snugged my feet in better and eliminated most of the heel lift I had in my FR skates that occurred when balancing on my front wheels. https://www.amazon.com/Ezeefitsports-2mm-Ankle-Bootie-BLK/dp/B00U9UG4QA/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=ezeefit%2Bankle%2Bbooties%2B2mm&qid=1622702955&sr=8-3&th=1&psc=1
You might want to try the 3mm ones though since it seems you might have more of an issue than I did.
Yeah I'm not entirely convinced of the benefits of some of these super premium running socks. They look cool and all but I can't be paying $10-15 per pair!
I run mostly in these plain saucony socks, $13 for a 6 pack right now on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D2GRTIE never had any issues
Hey baby boo- lol. Have you tried using running socks? Can't guarantee you wont get holes in them. But they may last a lil longer. I'm sure you can find deals online. But for the sake of sharing the brand. Here are some from Amazon:
Amazon.com : Balega Blister Resist No Show Running Socks For Men and Women (1 Pair), Black/Red, Large : Gateway https://www.amazon.com/Balega-Blister-Resist-Socks-Women/dp/B01GJNDWRY
People say these aren't for people with wide feet. If you have normal feet you can't go wrong with the XTs, they're simply superb.
I have normal feet, bought them true to size (43 Europe) and they fit like gloves.
I would recommend you to get booties to prevent blisters around the ankle area:
> I can still slightly wiggle my toes wearing mountaineering socks
What socks are we talking here? If I wore the monstrosities marketed as mountaineering socks no boot would fit me. They make nice sleep socks.
How do they fit with a standard mid weight hiking sock?
They're not gonna break in.
If you don't fit the Scarpas with normal socks, you can fill out the heel in the Sporty's with something like this.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00U9UG4QA/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_6NRE4A94DSEX3CMD9KNE
Just make sure your toes don't hit (at all) when you kick.
these help, I wear these under my normal synthetic socks
I'm a big fan of the Zensah for high knee compression and Injinji for toe socks. For a Spartan, just because of the rope climb and I do S-Wrap, I'd probably use at minimum something like these. The Zensah can get expensive though at ~$45 for an socks and ~$35 for a sleeve.
Mudgears are very thick from what I'm told, which I'm not a huge fan of because they get hot. I live in Florida, so staying cool is mandatory.
Yes, they make ankle socks. I believe men can wear them as well, they aren't only marketed towards women.
I started using Injinjin toe socks as liners a few years back and I've had very little trouble with my toes since. They're not that cheap, but theyre still in good nick even though theyre thin and theyve done a fair bit of mileage.
You can get a ten pack on Amazon for $15(Link)[https://www.amazon.com/COOVAN-Cushion-Comfort-Breathable-Casual/dp/B07MGZYK6R/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=socks+for+men&qid=1586134509&sprefix=socks&sr=8-4]. You would need 37 pack, so $555. If it bring someone joy, $555 is not that much. Can the 1 day used sock be donated?
Have you tried Dickies Dri-tech socks? They are fantastic for the price and extremely hard to wear out.
Dickies Men's Multi-Pack Dri-Tech Moisture Control Crew Socks, Black (6 Pair), Shoe Size: 12-15 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008M5S09S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_We1bEbS49789K
I’m a freshman in college who always wore past knee athletic shorts in high school. My wardrobe isn’t very fleshed out and I have a lot of graphic tees that I wear most days. Is it okay to wear a graphic tee(that’ll go with anything colorwise) with a pair of dockers classic shorts?
Also as an extension question, all of my socks are https://www.amazon.com/adidas-Mens-Athletic-Black-Aluminum/dp/B008YA0Z44/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=adidas+socks&qid=1569692059&sprefix=adidas+socks&sr=8-5. Does it look bad when I wear these with either athletic shorts or the dockers shorts? Also, can I wear slides with these socks with the graphic tee and nice shorts or is that a big nono?
Also, I only own basketball shoes and running shoes. Can I wear these with the aforementioned non athletic shorts and a t shirt?
Size 15 here. I like these. Dickies Men's Multi-Pack Dri-Tech Moisture Control Crew Socks, Black 6 Pack 6 Pack, Sock Size: 13-15/Shoe Size: 12-15 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008M5S09S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_L5Qsmuebzy3HL
This isn't an exact answer to your question, but to prevent blisters I use men's toe socks. Wearing them I've never gotten a blister on my toes. Injinji is my go-to brand. I buy the thinnest ones I can find and pair them up with some wool socks if it's cold.
Adidas athletic crew socks. They're between a dress sock and a wool sock in terms of thickness, but closer the dress sock side.
They are slightly expensive, but the only socks I run in are the Injini toe socks. I have the same shoes as well and use these socks without problems. They are however more expensive than normal socks, but if you run a good bit it may be worth the investment. Amazon link
Well, cushioney and warm are the last things I look for in socks... that's the shoe's job. (sometimes warm is the baselayer pants' job) Socks need to keep my feet sweat-free and separated from my shoes.
So I wear these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AK8EE4K/
I have been sidelined many times with shin splints. I got them under control with the following:
Walking barefoot around the house as much as possible. When it is too cold I will wear these type socks and/or a pair of VFF.
Wear VFF for my short runs. If it's an indoor track, and not a long run, I wear just my toe socks.
Wear a light weight/natural type shoe (I like Saucony Kinvaras) for my longer runs.
I find if I try to do any type of leg excercises with a decent amount of weight, while also tri training, my shin spints come back.
Strech after every run and a lot of times after running my first mile (if it will be on concrete).
I bought a fitbit step counter and try to walk as much as possible (especially barefoot).
Run on a variety of terrains: indoor track, treadmill, outside, trails (and if you can beach sand).
Do more swimming and biking and less running. You honestly do not need to do as much running as you think if you do more swimming or biking especially bike+run bricks. I am training for my 2nd olympic and for my running I do two 2 mile brick runs and one long run a week.
I hope that helps.
What do you think of athletic socks like this? Less intense than Sambo boots, but with less traction than yoga socks.
I've had my for about a month now. I didn't really notice any break-in period. They basically fit like a glove. I've found it easiest to put them on by getting my toes into the right sockets and then using the heel loop to pull them on the rest of the way. Check out the toe socks for a little extra comfort. Yes, they are rather expensive for socks, but you did just drop $100 on shoes...
