Wow man it took you over a year to redesign a design that you stole?

Sorry... try This
That same messenger bag is available from amazon.
I actually have that exact bag and it's decent quality, has held up well for a few years, but that logo doesn't even appear to be embroidered, looks like an iron on or a screen print which I wouldnt think would hold up well on a bag.
I'd rather just have an Ixalan patch if i REALLY loved Ixalan so much that I wanted an Ixalan branded messenger bag.
I've been using this over a month and it was exactly what I was looking for. Perfect for the tablet and plenty of pockets for other things too.
I've been carrying a surplus M-51 Engineer Field Bag for ages and they are perfect for this kind of thing. I see complaints about their quality, but mine has gone everywhere with me with no problems.
This is a bag from Amazon that I've been using.
Someone I know likes the bag, I want to get them a similar style but nicer one as a gift, something more in the $100 range. Thanks!
Not field tested yet, but I picked up this one from Amazon to take to PAX. It's probably about half the size of my giant old school backpack but seems roomy enough for what I'll need to take to the floor and some swag. Tons of other similarly priced, smallish sling bags too. Most of them you can change the strap between shoulders.
Been seeking out something that works really well for this as well.
Currently I use a heavy canvas messenger bag similar to the one I'm linking below, but I'm sure there's better options out there so curious what others use as a strictly/mostly PC as well.

I have this bag and really like it. What sold me was the guy demoing it in the video on the amazon page. it comes in a variety of sizes and colors and can be worn close to the body if riding a bike or something like that.
Before I began caring much about being fashionable, I bought one of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B76J15U/ mostly for carrying the smaller of my two laptops (surface pro 4) to class.
I'm wondering if anybody has recommendations for a higher-quality small-ish backpack, preferably of the single-strap cross-body form-factor.
Hi, I'm looking for a foldover leather briefcase-- something around 1-200$. I really like the Samsonite one I've attached to this comment, but the comments seem to say it has a tendency to fall apart. Help please!

I use a classic timbuk2 small size bag for my school edc (college student). It fits all my school stuff, 2 5 subject notebooks, 18oz hydroflask, snacks, macbook pro, pens/pencils, and non pocket edc gear, is waterproof, and not "taticool" more stylish. Link
edit: forgot to mention the less popular colors go on sale pretty frequently, I picked up a "vintage metal" one, not my first choice, but for $39.99 on amazon why not
I have this one:
Lots of compliments, people ask me where I get it often, holds everything you need, etc.
If you want a cheap canvas bag, I've been using this bag for years with no sign of wear. It's just a plain canvas bag, not many pockets. But I use it for everything. This bag can take a LOT of abuse. I've never been careful with it, and it still doesn't have any issues.
I know you said leather bag, but this canvas one is amazing for the cost. So anyone else looking for a cheaper messenger bag that will last a very long time, this one has my recommendation.
I bought a leather brief case which I took the straps off.
Very rugged and well built. Leather "ages" well. Pretty scratch resistant. Protects contents well.
Carries up to three Thinkpads. Honestly, the best luggage purchase I've made. I use it 365 days a year!
I have a nice simple bag I use for work. Holds my tools, plus any odds and ends, in addition to my lunch.
I have it in black. Tough canvas bag, plain, simple and it just works.
I was looking to get a messenger bag for my friends birthday. I have purchased the samsonite one from amazon before and had a really good experience with it and its built very well.
Link to one I am considering buying again: Samsonite Bag
Any recommendations for a messenger bag for a college student?
I use a bag of holding. It isn't the smallest thing to carry around, but it is nice to have room for other stuff, too (it has enough room for a weekend trip if I don't need a spare pair of pants).
I've used this one from Samsonite for two years. It has held up great and looks MUCH better than your standard issue nylon bag or backpack.
I am also considering Samsonite Colombian Leather Flapover Case:

Both are good looking bags in almost the same price range, but Barneys' bag could be higher quality. I am not sure if olive green would work, ahe black colored one which I like better is only 30% off instead of 60%.
I went with an army surplus green canvas messenger bag. $30 on Amazon.

Depends on what you like. I have had this for about a year now, and I've got no complaints.
I used a surplus military messenger bag very similar to the one I'm linking here. I used it everyday for work for just over 8 years. I also used it for travel and when I went back to grad school it took on extra weight daily.
It's currently sun bleached and only showing very minimal fraying. The only reason I stopped carrying it was because I bought a sling pack for a trip and started using it for my laptop.
The messenger bag is still awesome though. It was pretty cheap, has a classic look, and is very durable.

I went for a canvas messenger bag, love it and it works for so much. I went for olive green, and it's machine washable.
Brown Classic Army Messenger Heavy Weight Shoulder Bag https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004O2T3SK/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_s2cjvb0QCJZ28
If you're willing to up your price range a bit, you could get the Samsonite Colombian Leather Flapover Case
If you're trying to be a little more thrifty and don't mind getting something other than leather, you could get the Rothco Vintage Messenger Bag
Can't go wrong with the Jack Bauer bag. There are a few different colors. http://www.amazon.com/Original-Heavyweight-Classic-Messenger-Olive/dp/B001I15G4K/ref=pd_sbs_sg_6?ie=UTF8&refRID=1APSRTMK0MYTGD51RRVZ#customerReviews
I've been using this Samsonite leather bag since mid-2013 for work and school. Probably not what you have in mind, as it's a fair bit larger than what would be required to carry just the Surface.
I carry my SP2, charger, mouse, pen, a calculator, hard glasses case, a note book, and regular pens and pencils with room to spare.
