They sell electrolyte drops you can add to your water. My girlfriend uses this brand from amazon it doesn't have any flavor and just a few dops per bottle is plenty so it last a long time.
The easiest way to go about this is getting salt tablets from Amazon or a nutrition store that are designed for endurance athletes. They taste like nothing, go down like a pill, and are designed specifically for fueling active people in the sun.
These are what I use for running and at Roo
Salt concentration in sweat varies A TON from person to person. Some people have 300mg per liter of sweat while others have 3g/L. Average is around 1g/L. Not the most scientific but here you go. I personally know I am a very salty sweater and a early sign I need salt is my scalp starts to get kinda tingly/numb. You can try salt tabs to maintain your levels on endurance rides in the heat.
I bounce between several, but can definitely recommend Doctor's Best. I have not noticed a difference between all of the top brands on amazon.
Vitamin D enchances the absorption of calcium, so if someone eats a fair amount of dairy or spinach they should be fine. Magnesium should be the one people need to look out for. It's one of the most important minerals that we don't get enough of, PLUS it works in synergy with vitamin D! If you regularly eat almonds (or pumpkin seeds), avocados, dark green leafy vegetables and legumes then you're probably fine. If not then I'd definitely recommend you start including them in your diet if possible, and if not you can supplement.
Another critical micronutrient would be K2, which helps direct calcium to your bones and teeth and prevent calcification of your arteries (big no no!). If you're thinking of supplementing Vitamin D3, you can find those two vitamins together. They are fat soluble so make sure you eat them with your nuts/seeds and avocados! :)
As already mentioned, magnesium citrate doesn't get absorbed by the body very well. If it gets into the colon, it acts as a laxative. This brand uses a different form of magnesium and has good reviews. You can even get it as a cream so your body absorbs it without worrying about it being in your digestive tract!
Look into magnesium rich foods as well. Dark chocolate and black beans are good ones! I get a really bad upset stomach/bloating with most magnesium supplements. I don't react if it's labeled as "magnesium (as aspartate)" but mostly I prefer to get it through food.
The TYPE of Magnesium you take is key. You want one that has TRAACS (The Real Amino Acid Chelate System), on the label since that's a proprietary way of binding it that does NOT give you diarrhea. (If you have to have a colonoscopy they literally give you magnesium to clean you out.) I use this one: https://smile.amazon.com/Doctors-Best-Absorption-Magnesium-Glycinate/dp/B000BD0RT0/
I've gone through something similar, it was during major depression. Honestly what helped was reducing inflammation within my body/brain.
I'd suggest trying lithium orotate as a first line of action along with fish oil, magnesium glycinate and maybe turmeric with a source of black pepper.
I don't know which supplements you've tried in the past but I don't think you've permanently damaged your body. Depression can deplete and drain you completely especially any creative and positive thoughts. Start meditating even for a few minutes a day. Well-being is fostered not only with a good diet but a good mindset, there could be a lot of things draining you emotionally and physically you just need to figure out what those things are and try to correct them.
I hope you feel better soon, as someone who's been in your shoes it does get better.
The truth between these two extremes is that there's more than one type of salt, and your body probably needs some of the ones that don't taste good on pasta.
E.g. https://www.amazon.com/SaltStick-Electrolyte-Replacement-Capsules-bottle/dp/B002IY96B0 contains sodium chloride, potassium chloride, potassium citrate, magnesium citrate, magnesium gluconate, calcium citrate, and calcium gluconate, all of which is technically a "salt" by the chemistry definition, but only the first of which is "salt" by most people's definition.
(To be clear, you should not buy a big bag of any of these things, individually, and start eating it. Large quantities of any of these may be toxic on their own.)
If you eat decent and normally take vitamins you wont need any for a couple day fast. Your internal stores can easily handle a short fast. Electrolytes can make it easier but that's all you might need. - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MXDAHIB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This is probably blogging, but I feel the need to share. Doctors best 100% chelated magnesium tablets are the best. Specially formulated to not give you the runs. Doctor's Best High Absorption Magnesium Glycinate Lysinate, 100% Chelated, TRACCS, Not Buffered, Headaches, Sleep, Energy, Leg Cramps, Non-GMO, Vegan, Gluten Free, Soy Free, 100 mg, 240 Tablets https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BD0RT0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_cuiaGb0XDY6TY
I keep some of these in my hip belt pockets with snacks and pop them through the day:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002IY96B0/
I DO NOT do it once hourly as the bottle prescribes as I have some salty snacks in my daytime grazing rotation.

I love the Nuuns in my water, maybe even jacked up with a Gatorade or Koolaid packet for extra zing if I'm parched.
So, there's always some sort of natural carbs in veggies. I eat only cruciferous vegetables, like broccoli, brussel sprouts, and cauliflower. I'll eat a few pieces of carrots, and celery, onions, and bell peppers, but avoid corn, for instance.
I eat no refined sugar, no carbs (flour, potatoes, corn starch, or sugar derivatives like malodextrine, dextrose etc.), and no starchy legumes, or veggies.
I cook with healthy fats, like coconut oil, and butter. I eat lots of protein, and healthy fats, with green veggies.
I bought (for the first time in my life, electrolytes. I bought liquid drops, from Amazon, called Lyteshow because I was getting cramps, and won't eat bananas anymore. I also bought MCT Oil, because I think that medium chain triglycerides are important.
Other than that, I just try to eat as clean as possible, and have fun making keto recipes. I also bought one of those fancy Multi-pot electric pressure cookers, because I'm eating a lot more real meats, and it requires very little prep, and I don't think about food all day. I only eat one meal a day, and try my best not to load up on fat. I've got plenty of fat on my body.
I like Natural Calm for mag. You can also get mag from adding Epsom salt to a bath and soaking for a bit(great for sore muscles).
hey! a lot of the ones i know of do contain sugar or variants, but i have seen buoy and that is toted for not containing sugar or artificial sweeteners. i have heard they are working on a bottle return program for after the pandemic.
i have also used lyteshow before, and i really enjoyed it. no sugar added to this one either.
good luck!!!
Hey, I am in London so this is the UK site but this product on Amazon from Nutri-Align is 100% my most recommended product. It consists of enough supplements for Sodium, Magnesium and Potassium daily through four scoops and I spread them throughout the day. No more than one scoop at a time is recommended to avoid digestive issues and would see me through any minor issues. With all four daily recommended scoops I am reaching what I need to whilst fasting and (especially once at a point where hunger disappears in a fast) I have absolutely no issues whatsoever. It works great. I do want to state this again: four scoops covered everything. Most capsules or other brands on the market you would need 12 capsules or so daily to reach these limits and that is why I value this product so highly. But not the capsules from same company which has the exact same issue. For some odd reason.
I buy it on Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/Collagen-Peptides-Hydrolyzed-Grass-Fed-Certified/dp/B00XQ2XGAA
It’s certified Paleo, Keto and non-GMO, derived from pasture raised grass fed cattle.
I’ve been taking it for over 6 months now. For my joints, I could feel results in about three weeks. At two months my joint pain issues reduced about 40%. I noticed my hair was growing like crazy at around six weeks.
At the five month mark I noticed that I was regaining flexibility and could walk for long periods without any pain. This really works for me!
Also to anyone interested - My girlfriend and I have been buying unsweetened koolaid mix, stevia, and this awesome electrolyte formula called LyteShow. All you need are a few drops of it with the koolaid mix. It’s a great alternative to Gatorade zeros!
Here is a link for the electrolyte formula if anyone is interested!

I do and I take this magnesium. Some magnesiums absorb better than others, this one is supposed to have a very high absorbtion. Some magnesiums like magnesium oxide are not absorbed as much and so they are good for helping with constipation...not what you want for relaxing muscles.
I feel like it helped a lot when my pain wasn't as bad at the beginning, I still take it daily but as my muscles have gotten worse it only helps so much. Definitely worth a shot!

If that link doesn't work for some reason, search for extended fasting salts by Nutri-Align.
Diet drinks are Coke Zero and the like. Nothing special. Coffee includes stevia for sweetness but nothing else.
Hope this helps. 🙂
Good luck on your fasting.
I had alot of leg pain and started taking magnesium 100mg a night. it seems to help.
Get the Calm powder so you can easily control the dose. You can buy it on Amazon and Whole Foods. Natural Vitality Calm #1 Selling Magnesium Citrate Supplement, Anti-Stress Magnesium Supplement Drink Mix Powder - Original Flavor, Vegan, Gluten Free and Non-GMO (Package May Vary), 16oz 113 Servings https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B000OQ2DL4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_6ZSC5PK6BZAYF1E380Y6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Personally, I use this brand.
https://www.amazon.com/Fasting-Salts-Intermittent-Flavourings-Sweeteners/dp/B07Z55FLJC
It fits the required amount of magnesium, sodium and potassium in few spoons. The package includes a small spoon to determine how much you should take depending of the extent of your fast. It should not exceed 4 spoons a day.
It's basically a concentration of salts but I do feel it's less aggressive than snake juice, which made me feel nauseated.
It's also affordable, zero addictive, nothing but 100% electrolytes salts and made in Britain.
I highly recommand!!!

It’s spendy but it helps and once you get the hang of how much works for you - you can look for the generic brands or larger contianers.
For me personally, magnesium really helps slow my palpitations. I take this magnesium because it’s the type/brand I saw most frequently recommended online and it’s the form of magnesium that’s not a laxative. Worth a shot if you haven’t tried it already!
I found that Natural Calm helped the most with bloating. I like to drink it with warm water and lemon after dinner. (I like the flavors better - but since they contain stevia, the unflavored is the only one that is W30 compliant) https://www.amazon.com/Natural-Vitality-Anti-Stress-Supplement-Raspberry/dp/B00BPUY3W0
Collagen peptides have been LIFE CHANGING! I noticed results in 10-14 days, I’ve been consistent for 2 years now, in addition to the bumps on my arms, legs, cystic acne it also started regrow on the hair I lost after my first baby, it’s incredible. Start out with 2 scoops and then you can go down to the recommended 1 scoop a day. I wouldn’t recommend skipping more than 2-3 days. I’ve tried a couple different brands, this has been my favorite.

For sure let it grow. My cheeks look very similar to yours. Im at roughly 3 months now and its starting to fill in somewhat decently. my facial hair seems to grow slowly though. I had half-assedly attempted beards in the past bu gave up because of the sparse cheek growth, but one day my wife bought some collagen powder to mix with her coffee in the morning, its good for joints and stuff so I started using it too, but the weird thing is that my facial hair started growing more than it ever has in my life. im not sure if its just a coincidence, but it may be something to look into. if you care this is the stuff i use. I put a little less than a full scoop in my coffee every morning ( it is tasteless, but doesnt dissolve in cold drinks well) Collagen Peptides Powder | Hydrolyzed for Better Collagen Absorption | Non-GMO Verified, Certified Keto Friendly and Gluten Free - Unflavored
For electrolytes I use this stuff from amazon. It's awesome. LyteShow - Electrolyte Concentrate for Rapid Rehydration - 40 Servings (With Magnesium, Potassium, Zinc) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EISFBYA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_B6GAyb9MF56CN
I was getting horrendous daily headaches at the start of my second trimester (26 weeks now) and am not Pre-e. My midwife and doula both suggested taking Magnesium. So I ordered some off of Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Natural-Vitality-Magnesium-Organic-Raspberry/dp/B00BPUY3W0?th=1)
No idea if its placebo or not, but it seems to have done WONDERS. I rarely if ever wake up with a headache anymore (unless I forget to take some). Might be worth looking into?
