They're charging $60 for that game, again?! Wow, that just knocked the game off my list.
$60 for a 6 year old game that you can get on other platforms for $40. That's some crazy mark up just for portability.

It is weird consider Amazon has a page for Smash Switch. I think since its reveal even.

They might've set up this site a while with that link as a placeholder and it somehow made it live in this form. Kinda like the animal crossing website update a couple months ago.

Unfortunately I think only USA; the link sends me to a "CDN$ 94.97" priced version of the game. That's why these digital sites usually are great such as Steam; they just discount it for everyone. But hopefully this helps out those in the USA who want the game.

UPDATE 3: BotW no longer available for preorder either. RIP Amazon preorders (for now).

I'm not from america and where i live they closed the preorders already since so many people want it ☹️

I'm legit sad. I was so excited when i saw the trailer and then instant sadness.

I want the physical edition btw since i still wanna be able to play it in 20 years and not have my copy being ripped away when nintendo inevitability closes the switch eshop in a bunch of years.

I think they removed it because they ran out of stock. The higher prices of the third party sellers may have triggered a automated scalper protection system. Hiding the item from normal view so people arent forced to pay scalper prices.

This is the "special" edition on Amazon UK, however the box art shows the master sword statue, so I'm not sure what version it actually is.

Amazon You can see on the side of the boxart its just the master sword and soundtrack.

Just nabbed the special edition on Amazon. It says March 13, hopefully they adjust it and get it out on time though.
