Huh, the one I use makes some gnarly grinding noises, but never pulls or pinches. I can try to find out the brand/model if you're interested
Edit: it’s a ToiletTree TTP-TRIM-1, $17 on amazon

No compensation or anything for this. Just used it for a couple years and it works, no fuss. Take the top off and run it under the faucet each time to rinse the hair bits out, and replace the AA battery once a year or so.
I strongly encourage you to get one of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000EBFJXS/ref=cm_sw_su_dp
Literally a life changer for me. I used to just rip them out like a barbarian, and then be like, "Why is my nose filled with pain?" the next day as in-grown hairs set in. This guy does the job in 2 seconds, and no batteries required.
I just started building a few months ago too. 24g is what I use mostly. 6 wraps dual coil is good but I've seen a huge difference in flavor and vapor production doing parallel coils! They're awesome. Try them out.
Also, have you tried the scottish roll wicking technique? Do try it if you haven't already!
I learned this the hard way but always put your top cap back on before you vape. I was distracted a few times and tried to take a vape without putting the top cap back on. Ooh mama.
EDIT
Also, dry burn/pulse (only if you're using kanthal) your coils (use low wattage) and pinch them to check even heatflow. Strumming the coils helps too. Use a pair of ceramic tweezers to do it. They come cheap. Ceramic Tweezers Amazon.
Once you see your coil gunking up, remove your cold cotton, dry burn the coil and run it through a stream of water a do this a few times, you can re-wick and re-use the coil. Do this every 3 days.
Another thing is to wash your top cap and drip tip before you re-wick, you'll notice the pros of keeping it clean.
The general idea is that more surface area on the coil = more flavor. Keep experimenting while you can.
Happy building!
Strong recommendation for the Wahl Lithium pen trimmer which you can get on Amazon for <$15. It’s surprisingly hard to find a decent one of these and this is the best I’ve ever found.
Electic? Nope, but I can recommend something that will do a good job and last.
Quite like this one. Battery powered but has lasted like 5 years and still going off the first one. Here for like $17
Tried reddit's recommended mechanical one but prefer the battery one. Mechanical 95% of the time was fine, 5% a bit painful. The toiletree electric one has never really made me feel pain.
Peek Reddit right here. Whole paragraph explaining a thing someone else is doing and why it’s actually not that impressive based on their knowledge and experience acquired as a teenager.

Get yourself something like this!
Most drug stores and places like Target should have at least one or two models in stock I think. Here's an example of what they look like (randomly grabbed from Amazon): https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B098NSHBQK/
Trim your genitals with this. Gets low enough for that almost bald look/feel without the razor burn.
I’m convinced that a detail trimmers true purpose is for shaving scrotums.
You’ll thank me later.

Read the top customer question and answer.
It's incredibly painful for most people as these hairs are connected to the mucous membrane that's lining the inside of your nose.
I only tweeze the few hairs that are at the edge of the nostrils, the rest get trimmed with one of these small "round" trimmers like this one https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-Mens-Trimmer-Hypoallergenic-Blade/dp/B086RHFJJV/ref=sr_1_9?_encoding=UTF8&c=ts&dchild=1&keywords=Nose+%26+Ear+Hair+Trimmers&qid=1615808581&s=beauty&sr=1-9&ts_id=234950011
Doesn't matter what brand it is or if it says "for men" or not -They are all the same and work well.
*I would recommend being a bit conservative and trying not to trim all of your nose hair as your nose and overall health will benefit from having some amount of nose hair.
Just try to gauge what nose hairs are actually visible to others and need to be cut, and then keep the rest.
Makes sense. I have probable MCAS myself. And I don’t think I’ve ever used shaving cream! Glycerine soap for me if I have to use a razor. Also—do you have a good moisturizer for after? Sometimes that makes a difference. (Although I don’t think I ever shaved my bikini line without a major outbreak of red itchy bumps no matter what I did before, during or after.)
My main issue is my chin right now. I’m hitting menopause, so now there is new hair to contend with. (No one told me about these things when I was young.) For the smaller areas on my face, I use this little trimmer. hair trimmer
I went the laser route for a variety of reasons. EDS and its many associated disorders/dysfunctions make shaving problematic in so many ways. In addition to the skin sensitivity, I’m just too damned exhausted most days to keep up with the mundane shit like shaving. That said, I still like to wear a two-piece at the beach, and I felt like I was being sentenced to a life of boyshorts—unless I wanted to deal with the bottom of my suit constantly rubbing over a bunch of raw red bumps.
Good luck finding something that works for you!
maybe not a perfect solution since you'll end up with another gadget, but they make little pen-sized ear and nosehair trimmers that run forever on a AAA battery.

Best of a bad lot:

I''ve had many gadgets similar to these, all of them working like mini weed whackers. Problem is they can't put too much power in these for liability purposes (NY Post headline: "Bloody Nose Hair Ripper Horror!!!!") so the actual cutting power is not too impressive.
The Panasonic at least lasts longer than the generic AMZ cheapies, plus it's easy to clean and pretty cheap, especially given the brand name.
I swear by this one. No pain whatsoever, the batteries last a long time. Mine has worked fine for 4 years or so. Even got one for my dad: https://www.amazon.com/ToiletTree-Professional-Resistant-Trimmer-Silver/dp/B00E4PMQAO/ref=zg_bs_234950011_13?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=M9PCWR2NPY95BK7NPHQA

Don’t listen to these other comments!!! I used to have AWFUL skin from using shaving gel / Gillette razors. I now have flawlessly smooth skin.
I use this electric trimmer on my neck/ face : https://www.amazon.com/Philips-Norelco-Eyebrow-NT5175-49/dp/B00QYOSKH6/ref=mp_s_a_1_12?keywords=philips+trimmer&qid=1563218014&s=gateway&sr=8-12
And sometimes I use this trimmer on my face (as long as I don’t go too aggressive I don’t get bumps): https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-Electric-ES8103S-Nanotech-Flexible/dp/B001DNE3KQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?keywords=panasonic+electric+shavers+for+men&qid=1563218118&s=gateway&sprefix=panasonic+ele&sr=8-4
That is IT. Don’t shave when your skin is wet / don’t use shaving cream. That gives you too close of a shave, thus leading to bumps. Always shave DRY.
I was a very severe case of bumps and the combo above has worked perfectly
Edit: with the second electric shaver, you can even shave over existing bumps and they won’t bleed. It gives you as close of a shave as a manual razor but it will not leave a rash. Don’t use it on your neck if that’s a problem area
Similar idea:
Buy it for life nose hair clippers
There are other versions, but this is the basic idea.
Two parts.
No batteries.
I've had a pair for 15 years, and they still work like new.
I find that they twist way too much and sled one pitch together evenly.
This is what I have. Very comfortable, right amount of tension, and does a decent job gripping.

First, make sure your bum is clean and dry. Second, get a hair trimmer and spread your cheeks a little to get all the hairs. I’d recommend this hair trimmer that can also be used for ear and nose hairs. Rake across the coil with something stiff like you're strumming a guitar. This gets the hotspots out 10 times out of 10 for me. I have ceremic tweezers like this (different brand, same tweezer), and use the opposite end (as in the non-tweezing end) to do it.
Mine is similar to this....

Been using this one for years. Bought it because it doesn't pull and hurt. Still works like it did on day one.
Get one of these twist trimmers. I've had mine for years and it still works well.
I use something like this. Recommending in case you don't want to deal with batteries.
I have medium bushy brows and pluck weekly, trim every other week. Don't be afraid your brows will come out looking horrible, they grow back quick and compared to a clear face, hairstyle, staches and beards people will rarely notice your brows.
If you're on the lazy side, use nose hair trimmers.
I used to blade shave my arms regularly, usually when the razor blade I was using on my face was ready to be retired, I'd run it over my arms, then change for a new one.
Recently I purchased a small battery operated trimmer for ear, nose and eyebrows, and the trimmer attachment is just about perfect for mowing down arm-hairs... and I don't have to worry about nicking myself on the wrist bones.
Waxing nose hairs isn't a good idea - you need those hairs. Get a nose hair trimmer like this, only $13 - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0049LUI9O/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
