Very little spillover. From what I've read, it didn't even impact his ability to memorize a string of random alphabetic characters. That said, people have done a lot with mnemonic techniques to accomplish amusing tasks like memorizing the order of 27 decks of cards in an hour, and some techniques there can be trained for a somewhat wider range of tasks.
There's entire books written on how to take psychedelics responsibly to maximize the benefit. People shouldn't expect to just take psychedelics and conquer their anxiety without knowing what they're doing. It takes a bit of knowledge about how to navigate your own consciousness to "transcend" the anxiety and attain a state of complete inner peace. Basically lay down with calming music, eye shades preferred, look within your mind. Accept and surrender to everything you experience: even to the point where you think you're dying and you just let it happen. It sounds scary, but when you come out the other end of that, you feel fantastic because you conquered life's greatest fear. Anxiety is normally gone for the rest of the trip at that point. Many people experience jaw tightness while on a psychedelic, but that goes away too along with the anxiety.
There's other pitfalls you have to watch out for too. A main one is that you shouldn't put any expectations on the experience. Just be fine with whatever is happening in your mind and let it all happen on its own.
Reading The Psychedelic Explorer's Guide is what helped me go from having anxious trips to beautiful spiritual experiences:

These are many of the same things that therapists conducting studies into psychedelics have their patients do. It's really decades of illegal personal experience that has determined the more effective ways to take psychedelics, not the recent scientific studies. The studies are just trying to prove the efficacy.
It's nothing new, it's just coming back into the mainstream now that they realize how powerful psychedelics are for healing. Listen to Michael Pollan's recent JRE guest appearance and pick up his recent book, it details how this research and push for re-legitimizing pyschedelic use has been happening in the background all along. Some people have even theorized that since we banned psychedelics and picked up a more alcohol-heavy culture we've become more depressed, more angry, less empathetic, and argue returning psychedelics into the mainstream in a safe manner could change all of that.
Interesting times ahead.
Riveting read so far, that part of the introduction gave me chills and validated my views on the matter, so I’m sharing it. It’s available on Kindle.
https://www.amazon.com/TRINITY-Best-Kept-Secret-Jaques-Vallée-ebook/dp/B094YNBG8T/
I literally just finished this book about 30 min ago. While it is a case that has been covered by others, I think Jacques Vallee and Paola Harris have woven together a spectacular case.
>title of his book?
In Plain Sight: An investigation into UFOs and impossible science
by Ross Coulthart (Jul 28, 2021).
Help Bezos fly to space: Amazon link.
If you’re going Kindle, to get Gregory Hays’ translation search for the modern library version which is tricky to get Amazon to show you.
edit: Here's the link now that I'm not on mobile. Because if you do the first search on Amazon for Gregory Hays - you get the print version and when you select the kindle button - you get a free kindle version which isn't the Gregory Hays translation (which is $11).
"In 1954, only one year after Twarog and Page reported finding serotonin in the brain, Woolley and Shaw recognized the structural relationship between LSD and serotonin and proposed that the mental effects of LSD might be caused by its interference with the actions of serotonin in the brain"
You can also find more by just searching about Twarog and Page. You can also read Michael Pollan's new book "How to change your mind" Which will cite MULTIPLE sources, studies, mostly from accredited universities such as John Hopkins, NYU, Harvard etc.
I highly suggest reading it. Everything I have referenced only touches what that book covers.
Theirs a lot more, I suggest pulling up google scholar and researching papers that are now being published online after the Nixon era ban had been lifted, universities have started uploading those.
I recommend the Kindle version if you're looking for a non-physical copy. It's available on Amazon for about $7.44 USD or $8.99 CAD. Very inexpensive, and it shows support for the author.
One thing to keep in mind when using Winterfield's method, though, is his attitude towards demons. He sometimes likens them to "dogs", which he believes should be "trained". He also encourages evocation. Depending on who you ask, evocation is sometimes compared to "slavery" (S. Connolly) or forcing the demon to show up "unclothed" (Theodore Rose).
That is not the only one.
Paola Harris and Jacques Vallee just released their new book Trinity, The Best Kept Secret. They dig deeper into a case that has been covered before, and Jacques did a lot of comparisons between the Socorro case, their 1945 case, and one from his database of French cases I believe. (Would check, but my husband seized custody of the book about 30 min after I finished it.)
Highly reccomend...fantastic read, in particular if you enjoy digging into some of the foundational cases in the history of UFOology.

Though for your case, having archangel tzaphkiel help you “establish emotional boundaries” specifically targeting this sleep disturbance seems it would likely be more effective.
Can work with Tzaphkiel here: https://www.amazon.com/Archangels-Magick-Rituals-Prosperity-Divination-ebook/dp/B078T8MWPY/ref=nodl_
You shouldn't consult anyone for black magic removal, you'll probably get scammed, I haven't seen anyone who's actually trustworthy on the internet with that stuff. Chances are, they'll take your money and you will be none the better for it.
From what you've said it may be likely that you or your family's been seriously cursed. The best way to stop this is to clear the energy in your house through banishing and create a field of general protection around you.

It should be pretty easy to completely solve all these problems yourself. Use the money that would be wasted on someone who claims to do black magic removal and buy this book. Use the sword banishing from it twice a day on your house and also do the master protection ritual from the book. If this doesn't clear up the curse, use the ritual to repel a curse from that book too.
The sword banishing will clear any negative energy in your house and in your energy field if you do it twice a day, this prevents the curse from doing any more damage. The master protection ritual should eliminate the curse completely and stop the bad luck and unfortunate occurrences. It will also make your life generally better and establish very powerful magickal protection around you.
If you buy GoM's chaos magick you'll find chaos magick isn't really chaotic. It's really just "DIY Magick".
I'd say working with demons is where you'd need some added protection. (I've only worked with one but there's a different mental approach you need.)
If you're really worried about protection, start with protection magick!
https://www.amazon.com/Magickal-Protection-Against-Bullies-Violence-ebook/dp/B00UL9VFUO
There's also a lot of healing magick in Archangels (Raphael(I think?) in particular is a good archangel to work with, focuses on healing).
The authors of the GoM books say continually, just do the magick. Three weeks of thinking about doing magick is three weeks of transformation you've missed out on.
I guess I mean newer as in... idk? Something with newer English?
Anyways, here's the Amazon Link... besides my Bible this book has a special place- it's changed my life.. very relevant.

The Path: Psychomancy by Astora Diam teaches basic magick techniques from the perspective of the psychological model. I think it's good to be familiar with as many different models of reality and magick as possible, and the psychological model/psychomancy is a pretty distinctive model. https://www.amazon.com/Path-Psychomancy-Astora-Diam-ebook/dp/B08F2YD1GM
https://www.amazon.com/Path-Psychomancy-Astora-Diam-ebook/dp/B08F2YD1GM The Path: Psychomancy talks a bit about what you're talking about. You might find the techniques laid out in this book interesting.
https://www.amazon.com/Path-Psychomancy-Astora-Diam-ebook/dp/B08F2YD1GM The Path: Psychomancy by Astora Diam is EXACTLY what you are interested in. She lays out a bunch of spiritual techniques from the perspective that magick is just psychology and creativity.
https://www.amazon.com/Path-Psychomancy-Astora-Diam-ebook/dp/B08F2YD1GM The Path: Psychomancy. It's super cheap (3.99,) goes over a bunch of beginner stuff that's super important, and yeah it's great.
The Akashic Records are a metaphor for your memory. They are a metaphor for extracting things from your memory that you might have forgotten or using your memory to create/model new information.
https://www.amazon.com/Path-Psychomancy-Astora-Diam-ebook/dp/B08F2YD1GM The Path: Psychomancy will teach you all you need to know about astral projection.
https://www.amazon.com/Path-Psychomancy-Astora-Diam-ebook/dp/B08F2YD1GM The Path: Psychomancy by Astora Diam goes into different was of looking at and practicing summoning procedures. I recommend that.
The Path: Psychomancy ($3.99 for the ebook) by Astora Diam is pretty good for this! It endorses the psychological model of spirituality (all things spiritual are psychology.) Still, even if you believe in a spiritual model of reality, you can easily apply the techniques she lays out with a spiritual belief. She covers a wide range of things from astral projection, ritual procedure, evocation, meditation, energy work, creating godforms, and a bunch of other things like that.

Astora Diam's The Path: Psychomancy covers a lot of topics from the psychological model, including past lives and astral projection. :)
I'm relatively new to magick so I hope that other more experienced practitioners will comment on this and correct me if I'm wrong.
If I were you, I would read Magickal Protection by Damon Brand and do the "cancel a curse or supernatural attack" spell.
You might be interested to check out this book then. Its well researched and describes an ancient order of women brewing pscyhedelic beer!
https://www.amazon.com/Immortality-Key-Secret-History-Religion-ebook/dp/B0818QJHKF
Its really fascinating seeing several links here arguing against beer witches that all happen to be about 3 years old. Almost like there was a coordinated pusback against something.
What happened about 3 years ago?

This book came out: The Immortality Key: The Secret History of the Religion With No Name

The book makes 2 key points specific to OPs post.

The book takes you through all of the literary and architectural references to this religious group. Even going so far as to take you to the Vatican and walking you through all of the references to psychedelic experience you can find there.

PS1: There are multiple examples that can be found in our world of knowledge and things passed down only through women. So that is nothing new.
PS2: Modern Christianity is based upon retelling of older traditions. Knowing that there are substances out there that allow you to "experience god for yourself." What story could be told to those who dont know any better that the substance they are being given will allow them to experience god without actually experiencing anything different? The push back against psychedelics starts making way more sense now.
This is where I read about it, amazing book. There's also a Netflix documentary series with the same name. It doesn't cover so much of the history though, the book goes into significantly more detail.
https://www.amazon.com/Change-Your-Mind-Consciousness-Transcendence-ebook/dp/B076GPJXWZ
I initially had a hard time understanding this book. It took me a while to realize it was because of the translation. I would recommend just getting a different translation, like this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FC1JAI/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Well, it is rude. And they show up super easily anyway, so no need for charges and stuff.
First time I opened the Goetia, Bael came straight in, as a little frog thing. He was nice but I was somewhat terrified of what I had done. Turns out your way works perfectly, just treat them like people, be nice and polite, be careful what you promise.
But still, they may have a tendency to stick and obsess a bit, or maybe I was just a newb and psyched myself. They are somewhat harsh to get entangled with, very fierce. It’s fine if you are all about evocation, but I tend to switch to invocation mode way too easily.
I think that it’s not completely reasonable to advise newbies to jump straight in. They are power tools, and will do exactly as asked. And I really do think that it’s better if you bind them a tiny bit, for everyone peace of mind. Because they are power tools, and using them with a rail gard so you don’t get your finger cut off isn’t such a bad idea.
I like Gordon Winterfield approach, where the demon sigil is somewhat constrained in a circle with angelic emissaries. It focus the energy nicely, and is less leaky, while still being respectful to the demon.

He gives great advice on working with them too and dispel a lot of myths. Made me reconsider a lot of stuff.
You may never have a problem freeforming it, and besides you’re probably experienced now. I’m sure you also made friends that keep an eye on you. But again, I wouldn’t advise that to a newb who might do something stupid.
