You know those pop-up tents for tailgating and whatnot, the rolling bag they come with is perfect for carrying long guns, and everything else. And it rolls. Any one asks, tell them you use it at volunteer events, cause you’re a great dude.
Amazon has a deal on a 10' x 10' straight legged canopy for under $70. Pretty good deal and you can never have too much shade
Here’s the link from my og order a couple years ago, not sure if it’s still available from that link but I’m sure you can google your way to one 😊

We bought a Core brand 10’x10’ pop up canopy from Amazon several years ago, and it has been perfect. We have used it for many occasions, but mostly at the beach. It’s a little heavy (Amazon says 43lbs), but the weight is average for most pop up tents of the same size. It has small wheels on the bottom of the bag, which roll easily on the boardwalk. Once I get to the sand I either throw it on my shoulder, put it in the wagon, drag it through the sand, or have my oldest son or a couple of the younger kids carry it. I read a lot of negative reviews about some of the other brands (e.g. Coleman) having flimsy frames and breaking easily. So far we have not had any issues with our Core tent, and we leave it up all day with wet towels and shirts hanging from the rafters (not supposed to do that). I can’t vouch for it being a “Buy it for Life” item yet, as it’s only 3-4 years old, but so far we have had no problems.

I do not think you are going to find a place that you can use for yourself for free. I would buy one of these :
Make sure you also have a cooler with ice and just take a 10 minute break in the shade every 30 minutes. Or people can just walk over for recovery when they need. Make sure everyone brings their own water/Gatorade/ seats if they want! Way cheaper especially if you all pitch in.
I know it’s not portable, but what about investing in one of those gazebo structures from Home Depot or Costco (or another similar store)? https://www.costco.com/.product.100484417.html
You could also try an Ez Up canopy. We got ours from Amazon and it stakes down. E-Z UP Envoy Instant Shelter Canopy, 10' x 10', Roller Bag, 4-Piece Spike Set, Recreational Grade Royal Blue Top https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07M93VS8Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_AGH76XGANP7BX9MZMHFQ
They're honestly not too expensive to DIY.
Some sport shops have them for around 15 bucks and you can use hardware store wall/ceiling mounts. (There's also discount stands on ebay!)
It's helped my mood so much over the years and had some of my best naps in one.
I got this one on sale a few years ago, if you're interested :D :
If you have the money I like this one Eurmax USA 10'x10' Ez Pop-up Canopy Tent Commercial Instant Canopies with 4 Removable Zipper End Side Walls and Roller Bag, Bonus 4 SandBags(White) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BSLQSVO/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_A2JHZXE9Z4BWMH22HVF1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 . I've had this guy for like 3 years. The cheaper ones I had are basically disposable.
Its pretty good if you dont mind paying the price, I spent the extra just to protect what i bought since its gonna sit outside most of the time.

I'm in the Canadian version of the PNW...northern Vancouver Island. We get all the rain you do plus as we are right on the coast out of the rain shadow of the Beaufort mountains.
we use a 10x10 EZ Up that fits over our hatch and sill leaves sufficient room to sit, read, watch Netflix, etc while you wait out a rain event.
If it is wind driven rain squall then I had a marine upholstery shop make me two "tarps" out of the white vinyl screen stuff they use on boats. These things knock rain down and reduce wind to a breeze. If we need to close off the third opening I just use a normal tarp.

You can spend what you want on a canopy...our was around $100CAN and has lasted 7-8 years of regular use including a 3 month road trip across Canada and a month in the far north, up past the Arctic circle to the Beaufort sea (Arctic Ocean).
Buy second hand especially as a student, since most likely you'll end up moving.
You can check the Facebook Free & For Sale or general Marketplace for used furniture: tables/chairs etc.
There's also Kijiji - but beware there are more scammers on there.

For a bed you may also consider getting a hammock off of amazon instead: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01FS6UNWA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
Save some major dough for great comfort.

I've been super impressed with the quality of my AmazonBasics 10x10 canopy. It's only $95 and with Prime there's free shipping. It made it through Shambhala last year no problem with a bit of wind and rain.
This one is real clutch, but is a little pricey. WE used one for a sports league I am in and it was wonderful. Personally have really enjoyed t this ozark one i bought and has lasted me through 2 years of EF and like 10-15 weekend trips.
In regards to number 4- If you can, just buy an EZ-Up, tie some sheets to the sides where the sun will be hitting you, and don't bother with a tent. That shit will be hot as fuck and provide you no shade during the day. The weather is such that sleeping under the canopy with some bedding is plenty. You really don't need a tent, and in fact I'd personally advise against one.
Couple years ago we had a foreign couple next to our campsite who just brought a tent and it was pretty rough for them. We ended up letting them use one of our extra tarps for shade, but they were still severely limited in what space they had to try and relax/cool off in. Seriously, just get an EZ-Up and you can thank me later. Just remember to stake it down and lower/take the canopy top off before you leave for the afternoon so that it doesn't get blown away and possibly fuck up yours or other people's vehicles.
> However, I'm still absolutely hooked on energy drinks to help me "wake up" in the morning. I'm wanting to kick this habit and be off sugary drinks for good.
Drink zero/low calorie energy drinks. All the major brands have them.
You can do the same thing with soda actually. I find the ten calorie sodas to be particularly tasty. Amazon has some novelty ones like Canfield's Soda Chocolate Fudge Diet that are also worth a look.

I've seen this asked several times in the past. Try the search bar.
Also, Maybe look into a 10x10 EZ UP that you can stake down and maybe add a tarp on the side as a wall. If thats not possible maybe look into a ceramic coating for the entire vehicle. There are also other protective coatings and wraps you can look into.
Cheers that looks good really good. Heres a link on Amazon if anyones interested. Its an extra $50 for the sidewalls. http://www.amazon.com/Caravan-Canopy-Titanshade-10-Feet-White/dp/B0072BVOL4/ref=dp_ob_title_garden
Are you looking for like a party tent? I bought 2 10x10 tents for my wedding for like $60 each on Amazon - way cheaper than what I was quoted to rent the same thing.
You could probably buy like 3-4 for what you're looking for, and then you have them for tailgating!
