It is a trellis. You grow plants/vines on it. Looks like it is this one:

It looks identical to the one I have except mine says "redi check" instead of ivation. Just went to look at my amazon cart and I bought on jan 8th 2014: "
Maverick ET733 Long Range Wireless Digital Thermometer Set - Dual Probe - Remote BBQ / Smoker / Grill / Oven / Meat / Thermometer - Perfect for Thanks
the link now goes to: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FM8DJHQ
which is the exact one you linked to.
ie - it's a Maverick ET733, rebranded.
Yes, I am quite happy with it and remember reading reviews before buying. It's well regarded.
You can still do indirect grilling on that grill so you're good.
As for thermometer after doing some research I went with the Maverick ET-733
It's the first wireless dual probe monitor I've ever purchased and I've only used it a few times so I can't say I'm some kind of thermometer connoisseur. However, I would say so far it's the best thing I've purchased for this hobby of mine. Easy to use and deadly accurate. Worth the price so far I think.
HEB usually sells them in the fall. We use one of these (we spent 30, I have no idea why it's so expensive, they are cheaper on Amazon if you search firepit) and fire logs, I've grilled on it camping also with charcoal. It's nice to get something with a screen, especially on a patio. It also weighs a pound or two and you can pack it up when you are not using it. I had a chimenea for awhile. Hard to clean, heavy as hell and takes up it's own spot. Much happier with a firepit. Good luck on finding one though if that's what you're looking for. Maybe try a home depot. They typically have them year around.
There are so many out there. I've had a few and some were more reliable than others and some had better features. The first one I bought was a cheapo ThermoPro (from Amazon). It's accurate enough but I wanted something that I could monitor remotely.
I upgraded to the iVation and it has been very good (despite reviews). It's very accurate and the battery lasts a long time.
For Christmas last month my wife got me (this unit)[https://www.amazon.com/Digital-Bluetooth-Meat-Thermometer-iPhone/dp/B077N74X59/ref=sr_1_10?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1547707359&sr=1-10&keywords=iphone+grill+thermometer] and I've only used it a few times but it seems relatively accurate and I like that it displays and alerts on my iphone via bluetooth.
Other than that you can just start looking at Amazon (or where ever) for units and going cross eyed reading reviews. There are hundreds of different units available.
I've been pleased with all three I have. I smoke at low temps, grill at medium temps, and sear at high temps and all three of the ones I have read within a reasonably accurate degree range of each cook (and yes, I test all three every cook).
I have one similar but it's round and got mine on Amazon. Though after looking for it, it seems to have gone up in price since buying it in 2017.

I have picked out a rainbow curly wind sock. I love wind chimes and wind socks, I pull them inside in the winter and it gives my home some extra color and brightness!
Home sweet home 😊

Thanks for the contest!
I just got a standalone one that uses water powered gears to rewind its self. It does use a bit of water in the process through which gets routed out an outlet hose. You can save it in a bucket or barrel and water other parts of your lawn or garden with it though.

That along with the very light Flexvilla garden hose makes its easy to water now.
Amazon has them too for cheaper.
Crate & Barrel for comparison.
Same exact shit. I have the Amazon ones stringed up in a U-shape around a bay window in my living room.
This is the one I'm using: Maverick ET-733 Dual Probe. In Austin, TX (technically 780 ft. above sea level). My comment to PBC was to mark the damper/barrel with for 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, etc. for accurate setting.
Good god. I think you should invest in one of these. And keep it in the trunk of your car.
Not quite the same but the ET733 is one sale on amazon.ca for $69.99: http://www.amazon.ca/Maverick-Range-Wireless-Smoker-Thermometer/dp/B00FM8DJHQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1395533783&sr=8-1&keywords=maverick+et+732
Better grab them soon. That's the older version. (Nothing wrong with it, just pointing it out).
I just bought the newer one, last week.
I bought one for my anniversary. We just bought a house in August, so we can't really afford to make our own or anything fancy (one day!). It's a little silly with its cutout star and moon pattern, but it works really nicely and can also be used as a grill.
