This is my personal favorite. It is spicier than anything you would usually get in a grocery store and I think it has pretty decent flavor. I always doctor ramen with sauteed vegetables like mushrooms or scallions and almost always with an egg poached in the soup while its cooking.
Not OP and not sure if serious, but this will light you up pretty good although I personally prefer a nice Thai curry noodle soup kind of like this guy but I add chilies into the paste part and I don't usually keep coconut oil around the house because it's expensive now that everyone's riding it's dick, so I use canola and add onions to the pan before you dump the spice mix in.
NongShim Shin Ramyun is my go to instant noodle, flavorful and delicious. Easily complemented with a fried/softboiled egg, simple greens and some fried spam. Each pack is $~0.87 each, much cheaper if you buy it from a local Asian market. I typically get mine for about $0.60/pack.
Can anyone compare these to NongShim Black? I just recently discovered those from a different reddit thread and think they're amazing and just wondering how the flavor of these compares. Particularly the flavor and heat level of the broth.
I once "participated" in a two-hour conversation while high by sitting there, saying nothing, and fidget spinning.
Another time I thought it would be a great idea to eat of the double spicy version of the noodles from the spicy ramen challenge - the sauce was so potent that my fingers burned the next morning in the spot where I had accidentally spilled some.
They are nice but there are def spicier noodles if you want them. I think these ones will blow your head off. A friend of mine gave me some.
Indomie are delish though, I will admit.
I'm not too sure honestly. I ordered it from Amazon.
There are versions of the fire noodles that are vegan even though it says chicken flavored though.
Samyang 2X Spicy Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen is vegan.

This is not traditional but its the way i do it. This should make 2 big bowls. And apologies I'm writing this on mobile.
Ingredients
1/3 ground pork
Green onions
knob of ginger
Few cloves of garlic
1 teaspoon light and dark miso paste (each)
1/3 teaspoon sesame seeds oil
2/3 teaspoon fish souse
1/3 teaspoon lee Kum Kee Chili Bean Sauce
2 pints of good chicken stock (preferred homemade)
2oz of pork fat (chopped for faster cooking)
I take 1/3 lbs of ground pork, add it to a medium pot with chilly oil or regular if you don't like the heat. Add white part of green union (thinly sliced) Stir constantly, just before the pork is done add your garlic, cook for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant. Add your miso paste, Sesame seeds oil, Chili Bean Sauce and fish souse, cook for 1-2 minutes and add your chicken stock. Here is where I cheat. I use this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082FLZLQ8?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share (this is pretty good by its self) While everything is coming to a boil have another pot of boiling water, add your pork fat, boil until cooked(3-4 minutes) Take 3 cups of your broth, cooked pork fat and ginger, add it to a blender and blend for 2-3 minutes or its incorporated. Now pour your fatty mixture through a siv back into your stock. Add dashi, soy sauce or even water if its to strong. Add your noodles and toppings and your done.
There's a lot going on here but the key is to find the balance between all the flavors. You don't want any 1 flavors to stand out.The ingredients amounts is a rough estimate, so play with it.
Making ramen is a fun and rewarding weekend project.
Get this specific brand of tokotsu broth from Amazon (might take a while to arrive because it ships from Japan). It's concentrated broth so you dilute it with water, the exact ratio depends on how strong you want it to be. 1 cup of water per packet is a good place to start.
Start by making chashu and marinated eggs on Saturday. For chashu you'll need to get pork belly, which I know Metro downtown sells (not sure who else sells it but you could ask around). If you have a slow cooker then that's perfect for the chashu. Both the chashu and eggs need to marinate for 24 hours which is why you're starting them on Saturday.
Then on Sunday night, assemble your ramen. I prefer straight ramen noodles (should be easy to find in Asian grocery stores, or even the Asian section of the supermarket, and if not then Amazon). Just boil your noods according to the instructions and mix the broth packets with boiling water, put the noods and broth in a bowl, and top with your chashu, eggs, and whatever other toppings you want (green onions, mushrooms, nori, corn, etc.)
This is what I do and it's not as good as Japan but, IMHO, on-par with what you'd get at a ramen place in Toronto.
here You might have to try the link a few times. Amazon is being weird.
On amazon right now for under $1 a piece, OP may not have gotten the best deal: https://smile.amazon.com/NongShim-Ramyun-Noodle-Gourmet-Spicy/dp/B00778B90S/ref=sr_1_4_s_it?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1505088671&sr=1-4&keywords=shin%2Bramyun&th=1
I used to order it on amazon $18 for a 20-pack before this pandemic. Last I looked that same package was marked up to $70...
Edit: just checked, back to $18.80
Almost $25 on Amazon...🤣

The Scoville rating isn't that high, all things considered (8k), but you're got a VERY healthy serving of that sauce. It's not, in a vacuum, that spicy, but you're taking in mouthfuls of it.
Where I fucked up was by having only water on hand, which was just about the dumbest thing I could've done. I cried, my lips hurt, and I was sweating profusely. I drank/ate enough dairy that it didn't rip my asshole apart on the way out, but I did feel exactly where it was in my stomach for the better part of 24hrs.
However, the flavor was quite good. I'll probably do a pack or two (I'm here for a good time, not a long time) for dinner tonight.
I have to second the other person who commented Shin Ramyeon, my family and I have been eating that brand ever since I was a kid (I'm Korean).
Also Samyang is insane. I ate that once and I've stayed away from it since lol. I'm pretty good with spicy food but Samyang destroyed me.

NongShim Soon Veggie is vegan and tasty. Here's an Amazon link. Add some blanched bok choi, sauteed mushrooms (shitake, oyster, enoki), bean sprouts, green onion and some corn. Since you're ok with fish, add some sliced kamaboko or surimi(krab) on top. Finish it off with a splash of la-yu (spicy sesame oil) and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Nom.
I do pretty well but i still buy boxes of ramen. it's fancy ramen noodles from korea from nongshim., but still ramen. They're less than $1 each and make for some amazing stir fry noodles. throw some diced chicken thighs/shrimp in a cast iron skillet, add some veggies, then combine with the nongshim and it's an amazing lo mein/ dead ringer for japchae. Trick is to let the noodles soak before/after cooking. Really lets them soak up all the amazing flavoring they use and gives them a glass noodle texture.
water. I suggest keeping on light diet and possibly clear liquids for a while... I think I did three months of just campbells heart healthy homestyle chicken noodle and (at this point it's gonna seem like im advertising for them but it really helped me) Hontsuyu https://www.amazon.com/Kikkoman-Japanese-Noodle-Soup-Tsuyu/dp/B002Z3F0IW
It's a Japanese soup base concentrated. 4th cup this and a little over two cups water. Bring to a boil and you got some tasty broth. Salty though so depending on the situation, lookout for that. Add some ginger and green onion as your stomach can handle, then I got into shrimp in there some white pepper, can do tofu and some veggies. A side of white rice rounded it out when I felt I could do it...... It just helped me alot. I am not the person to talk to about alcohol though. I sacrifice a super limited diet to enable myself to drink knowing it's wrong, knowing it's probably gonna literally be the death of me, but if you wanna talk diet things, please ask
I just wanna say I drink alot and was a hardcore carnivore..... I cried when I got home from the hospital. Im a grown ass man, but still couldn't help it..... First time I went to the store, I passed by the meat counter and without being able to help it my eyes watered hard ... I was like REALLY MAN and was put down by how hard it's gonna be... And TBH it aint easy BUT once you pull yourself outta rut and after your clear liquids for how long you think you gotta do it and can handle solids again, you realize how much different chicken and fish you can make. You start to find things you can "get away" with, for instance the paperwork and websites scared me away from bread and even crackers. Well I found I can handle them just, like everything, can't push it.... It's a real bitch and can be frustrating. It WILL be ... But there are more options than the immediate death threat everything seems like. I would recommend staying on liquids for a bit if it was that bad to give the pancreas some heal time. I say this to everyone that asks so sorry for the broken record, but another thing that helped me get thru the liquids stage longer than heart healthy campbells chicken noodle was this. https://www.amazon.com/Kikkoman-Japanese-Noodle-Soup-Tsuyu/dp/B002Z3F0IWits a concentrated dashi broth. like a quarter cup of this and 2 cups of water and bring to a boil and you're done. My dad doesn't even like fish but LOVES this. Says it taste like a good beef broth. Then when you feel good, some ginger and green onion circles black or white pepper and its alllll good. Then like kimchi jjigae I moved onto then I started adding shrimp into my diet and white rice
This is some really good stuff too, just need to match it with a noodle you like https://www.amazon.com/Japanese-Tonkotsu-Ramen-Concentration-1-Pounds/dp/B082FLZLQ8?pd_rd_w=jZuwR&content-id=amzn1.sym.82699680-24ff-4624-ba55-0b66638fda7b&pf_rd_p=82699680-24ff-4624-ba55-0b66638fda7b&pf_rd_r=VHDHHKRV1RZSTXC127AK&p...
Sounds like a fun experiment! But if you want spicy, consider the Buldak x2 seasoning. That hot oil is *painfully* spicy (but still enjoyable). Keep experimenting and let us know!
It's predominately red and black pepper, mushroom, ginger, and some garlic. Some folks claim it's still too spicy, but I use half the packet to cut back on the sodium and it still tastes fine for me. Four and a half stars and 3,000+ reviews on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/NongShim-Soon-Noodle-Veggie-Ounce/dp/B00PYS5F3A
For some reason all of the vegan ones are so expensive on Amazon :/
They are priced around same in US from amazon https://www.amazon.com/Samyang-Chicken-Flavor-Ramen_KOREAN-NOODLE/dp/B077FG8W9Z

I'm from UK and i buy them from amazon i think they are worth it £1.20 ain't that much for a great product. (yeah you have to buy bulk but its only place i seen them)
I add mayo to a little bit of sriracha, soy sauce, mirin and lemon. If I have hontsuyu I'll use that instead of the soy sauce and mirin.
It isn't the same, but it's pretty close.
The Max Strong jalapeno & cheese crisps are pretty hot and I say that as someone who can quite happily eat these bad boys as well as vindaloo curries, so hopefully they pass the heat test.
I would recommend:
Go for bulk items. Often times buying in bulk means cheaper per unit. An example would be Ramen by the case such as these and can be found in many stores.
While you have a can opener, these can often fail due to moving parts. As a backup I recommend a P-51
A lot of times people stock up on a lot of items, but what happens if you have to leave the area and can't take your items with you? You should look into portable water filters (filter straws), power generation (backpack solar panels), and food sources (such as MREs).
Ahh thank you I missed that bit, didn't notice the text post inside. 😅
In that case, probably a £100 supply of Samyang extra hot chicken ramen noodles - I've developed a slight addiction to these...
