If you haven’t tried it before, give Indomie Mi Goreng a try. You eat it without soup (cook it in hot water then pour the water out). It’s one of my favorites.
As an Asian who likes spicy food, I recommend Indomie noodles. La Mian curry noodles are great as well but pretty expensive.
Yikes.

$35 for 5. Still nuts, but not as nuts.
I was completely underwhelmed. Now if you want an amazing instant noodle you have to get ahold of this shit: https://www.amazon.com/Nissin-Demae-Garlic-Instant-Noodles/dp/B00CORJU5S
It’s fucking DELICIOUS
I grew up with many types of noodles, and I highly recommend Mi Goreng noodles. They're super tasty and even delicious to eat without the broth (boil, dump water, mix packets in).

This shit right here.
I saw it in some random reddit thread a few months ago when I was drunk and people were raving about it and I was like "Well shit it's gotta be good right?" So I ordered a whole box and god damn were they right, I love the stuff.
It's cheap to order off Amazon and it's fucking amazing.
I recommend it 11/10, make sure you open the package take out the flavor packets and then crush it up a little first before you put it in the water though.
So this brand I'm actually not sure of because my Japanese is super rusty and I can't read it lol! But she did buy me two packs and honestly, all of the instant tonkotsu ramen I've had has been great, no matter what the brand. As long as it has an oil packet with the seasonings and good noodles, it gets a pass from me.
Previously, I ordered this brand from Amazon and it was amazing too.
Bit of a hassle, but Indo Mie mi goreng on Amazon are my favourite, £20 for a box of 40 packs, really nice too.
Edit: link if your interested, on offer atm to £15 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00ZIVMLGW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_l3-MCbYDX69EH
My favorite Ramen. Add summer sausage, spam, etc. and dehydrated vegetable soup mix.
I just went and got "high end" instant noodles from Japan via Amazon.
These things are fucking delicious. Can't look at regular Maruchin noodles the same.
I would fucking murder for a Pot Noodle though.
I guess I should add mine since I'm the one who asked the question.
If I'm just making noodles without adding anything else, Samyang Spicy Chicken is easily my favorite.
Lately I've been on a kick of these. tbh I originally just bought them because I thought the cow was cute, but turns out they're Samyang brand too (I actually didn't even realize until now when I was looking them up).
I like to boil and drain the noodles. Then take the seasoning pack and mix with water to make a bit of a sauce. Add Hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, some MSG to taste, and a small dash of sesame oil. Then cook the noodles in sesame oil for around 30 secs, add the sauce. (/u/krissym99 this is the lazy way to fancy up any ramen! Hoisin sauce and oyster sauce will bring any dish up to 100 with very little effort!)
If I'm not feeling lazy, I'll add scrambled or hard boiled slices of duck egg, bits of whatever meat I have on hand, sesame seeds, and green onion.
I pretty much never eat it as a soup.
This is my personal favorite. Fry an egg to make it even better!
MOON STILL GLAD! CLOSER TO NORMALCY AND OUT OF THIS CHAOS
MOON THANK SHROOM!
MOON EAT SOME NOODLES. MOON FAVORITE!

Almost $25 on Amazon...🤣

Have you tried the Nissan brand black garlic ramen? It's $28.99 on Amazon for a 30 pack and I've thought about trying it out.
Ive never seen that flavor before but according to Maruchan's website, they still make it in the "bowl" version.
I just bought a case of these though. https://www.amazon.com/Nissin-Demae-Garlic-Instant-Noodles/dp/B00CORJU5S
They're pretty good for when I'm looking for a quick fix.
I recommend starting at Amazon and just seeing if you can find what you want online. Maruchan's website also has a "Contact Us" section. Could always send them an email. Maybe they'll ship you a case.
IndoMie Fried Noodles! This is a "dry" ramen, so you don't have broth, you completely strain the noodles, and it's so god damn good. Best instant ramen I've ever had. Before I went vegan, I would top it with a sunny side up egg, and it was really amazing. But now I top it with raw cucumber and a lot of sriracha.
I buy mine in bulk at H Mart or Lotte, but amazon has decent pricing, as well. Rounds out to about $.62/pack.
Edit: Oh, and unless your spice tolerance is really great, do not use the spicy sauce packet that comes with it. You'll burn your taste buds out of your head.
These are on Amazon and if you don't wanna make your own they do pretty well. Firm and chewy, they have the base elements in the noodle. link. No sauce pack just noodles. I have used these before for making dipping noodles in a pinch.
You need to get yourself some Indomie Mi Goreng. It’s a stir fried noodle, a little spicy, packed with flavor. It’s pretty perfect as is, but topping with a fried egg is also excellent.
I usually get this for around $10 sold by amazon. Nissin RAOH, Tonkotsu Flavor, Authentic Japanese-Style Ramen, 3.53oz. (6-Count) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079T2XXBM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_KdyqFbF2RRPX9
For a quick and cheap boost I would suggest dropping a scrambled egg in the broth while it’s cooking and chopped green onions when it’s in your bowl. Pepper, chili powder, etc. at the end for more flavor.
If you want to do some work ahead of time, make soft boiled eggs. For us it’s about 6:20 in boiling water with refrigerated eggs. Adding a little vinegar to the water and poking a hole in the bottom (less pointy) end of the egg with a thumbtack before cooking will make them easier to peel. Split them in half and put them in your finished bowl. You can marinade them in soy sauce and mirin too for a little more $.
There are a few other traditional things you can add for a few $ if you have an Asian market nearby. Nori (dried algae that sushi is wrapped in), menma (baby bamboo shoots) and kikurage (wood ear mushrooms) are all great and not too expensive.
I’d also recommend getting some different flavors too. These black oil tonkotsuare less than $1.50 if you get a 30 pack with Amazon prime.
Honestly, just get Ichiran instant ramen on amazon. It’s the same packs they actually sell in Japan and it’s better than Masons and Xinji lol. You need to make the pork belly and eggs tho but worth it for a good bowl of food! https://www.amazon.com/Japanese-populer-ICHIRAN-instant-tonkotsu/dp/B077T7HC88
Well... Since they exist, I wouldn't do anything.

Try this shit https://www.amazon.com/Indomie-Instant-Noodles-Certified-Original/dp/B00HXIXWKM
It's the best. Sorry for the amazon link, it's the first thing that came up.
This right here is the shit. I think it's even cheaper if you buy it at an Asian supermarket. Definitely my favorite "dry" noodles.
Did it come in a green package? Nissin Roah King of Ramen, this is the best and closest flavor to restaurant style in my opinion. Can be found in BJs.
The GF bought me a 30 pack of Nissin Black Garlic for Valentine's. She's a cardiac NP. She must want me to come visit her at work.
Esse immer die hier in Kombination mit dieser Sauce
Preach it! If you have some time check out the Amazon reviews for it - priceless!
