Yeah, but they can be pricey. The few I’ve looked at are like £100-200. There are cheaper plastic ones but if you get desperate then smashing them isn’t exactly difficult. I’ve seen timed padlocks as well, like this
Do you still find it reliable?
I am debating combination lock box instead, its also half the price:

I am thinking combination locks are more long term reliable than push buttons, and harder to crack maybe? I don't know, haven't found any list of vulnerabilities for the push buttons style.
Have tried them, and they’re not very good.
1: they are made of plastic, and as such can be broken by hand. 2: if you don’t want to break it, they open if you just press hard enough on the button. (But depending on how you want to do safety, that might be desirable) 3: if the battery dies, it doesn’t unlock. But it’s also not much of a concern due to the aforementioned reasons.
Over all, there are better options out there… personally I use…
This one is metal, as such is more durable, and can’t be ripped open. There’s no button; the release is automatic when the timer hits zero. As for safety, it has an emergency release that can be used 3 times, but only 3. For the battery concern… I’m not sure exactly, as it’s yet to run out of power on me. But then again, I always charge it before use. So as long as your diligence with charges, it seems to work great.
Overall they’re just a much higher quality padlock that the plastic variety, and I’ve yet to have any problems with them.
Idk about container but there are padlocks with timers

Or find the American version.
There's tons of lock boxes that works. You can source from Ali express as well
Sure, here’s one that looks similar to mine for $25.99.
I went to Amazon and typed “time padlock”
Of course I’m sure there’s nicer ones you could get that are more expensive, but this one I have works just fine.
Another point I'd make is to save money for locks. You might be able to find some laying around without keys but as you progress the better locks are harder to find and you might have to buy them. My first lock I picked was a master magnum and not knowing any better I thought it would give me problems...to my surprise I popped it open in about 10 minutes with absolutely no experience whatsoever. It is in my opinion a great lock to start on.

It was locked to the upright support beam with this http://www.amazon.com/Master-Lock-Python-Cable/dp/B001DDCSLM . It deterred bike thieves for three years before this.
I am going use a U-lock from here on out.
