I know Virtual Desktop has an option to run on windows bootup but I've never actually tried it. You're actually in the same position as me, I've a GTX 1080 with multiple Displayports but only one HDMI port which is for the Rift so I ordered a Displayport to HDMI adapter today off Amazon.
Shame there is no hdmi would be decent for the price. I wonder would a displayport to hdmi adapter be any good?

You can get a display port to hdmi adapter. You won’t notice any delay or image quality reduction. That way you can hook both monitors directly to your 2080.

In the 15 years i have been building computers and buying gpus iv never seen a graphics card with dual hdmi ports. just did a quick amazon search there was a 1060 6gb with 2 hdmi ports lol. i have a vive and had the same problem with my 980ti and my 2080ti i have like 3 of theses i got off amazon work amazing.
>Agreed. I don't know why they made them compatible but function separately. Here's a link to the V2 controller: https://www.amazon.com/Lian-Li-Strimer-L-Connect-Controller/dp/B09ZKSPKCF/ref=asc\_df\_B09ZKSPKCF/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=598290034930&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10581902968936368971&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&am...
and the website is not very clear on why need separate and which version support it, they should make it work with default controller since we already support their products

ah ok, then I would pick up an Display to HDMI adapter. This one from Amazon looks like it works with a Cintiq 16:
"Used this to connect a Wacom Cintiq 16 drawing pad to a desktop that has a Displayport connection with no HDMI input slots. Works great."
The 3910 should have both an HDMI port and a Display port. You don't wanna run video off of USB, that's just useless. All you need is a display port to HDMI adapter: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017Q8ZVWK just plug that into the display port, then connect the 2nd monitor.
Just for reference, you can’t use monitor ports on your motherboard in conjunction with your gpu unless your cpu supports internal graphics. Go to your bios and set ‘internal graphics’ from disabled/auto to enabled. If your cpu doesn’t support it, then I suggest buying a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter for your second monitor.
Go to Amazon and get a 'parallel to USB' printer cable.
This is the first one in the search results that is also from a brand I've actually heard of. unfortuantely it is out of stock, but it will get you on the right path: https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-SBT-UPPC-Centronics-Printer-Cable/dp/B0007UVRVO
My local hardware store carries both directions for under $10 so maybe I'm just spoiled with that convenience.
But no. All adapters are going to be directional. You are probably best of with something like: https://www.amazon.com/DisplayPort-Adapter-Converter-Gold-Plated-Compatible/dp/B017Q8ZVWK/
As an adapter or something like: https://www.amazon.com/DisplayPort-Gold-Plated-Connectors-Display-Compatible/dp/B081GGNWCX/
As a single cable solution.
Unless I am misunderstanding your situation.
I am guessing that the monitor that you connected to HDMI works but the one with the HDMI to DP cable is not?
This is more then likely the face that HDMI to DP cables are very hit and miss. So far for me, a cable has never worked but an adapter has.
Something like this is what I used to use with no issues.

Displayport to hdmi, you can find a convertor online easily.
I had bought this one: DisplayPort to HDMI, Benfei Gold-Plated DP Display Port to HDMI Adapter (Male to Female) Compatible for Lenovo Dell HP and Other Brand https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017Q8ZVWK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_8TD5JGK7ZQDAZ0GSFW4S?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
The signal is dropping when you try having both cables plugged in at once, or picture #1 is with both plugged and it drops the image when you enabled OTG mode?
What firmware is your ALP on? The released on 11/11 is v5.58 and had OTG breaking issues. v5.59 was released on 11/18 and fixed the issues.
You might want to get a DP->HDMI adapter to try. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B017Q8ZVWK/
DVI "should" work the issues you are describing is very odd. I have the same card DVI, HDMI, DP, but I haven't tried DVI off it at all. I've used the HDMI and as well as both a DP->HDMI and the DP Hub I linked earlier.
You can also buy display port converters cables like this.
DisplayPort to HDMI, Benfei Gold-Plated DP Display Port to HDMI Adapter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017Q8ZVWK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_2WV0DTA4HSP5VNV4YGN5
Not sure if it’s any cheaper than just buying new display port cables. But if your monitor is limited on inputs this could be the answer you’re looking for.
(Also, as you have discovered, you cannot turn a single vga/dvi/hdmi/dp video output into multiple monitors in this way)
Seems odd, I run a similar setup and have two of these and they work perfectly. Mine doesn’t go through a KVM though, just directly to the monitors.
Ahh i see, in that case you can buy a usb to hdmi or other video output adapters, you need to install a driver typically to get them to work on your system but they should solve the problem for you. Theyre not to expensive.
1660's dont have VGA so you'll still need an adapter. And yes, VGA will give worse quality compared to a digital signal like HDMI, DP or DVI-D
> I don't want to buy DP cable along with adapter.
You're not getting it. You plug the displayport adapter into your GPU. That then gives you a HDMI port where you just plug your HDMI cable into.
https://www.amazon.com/DisplayPort-Adapter-Converter-Gold-Plated-Compatible/dp/B017Q8ZVWK/
How are you pretty sure of the model? It is clearly labeled on the front 🤣
But to answer your question, I use the following and then a hdmi cable of your choice.
DisplayPort to HDMI, Benfei Gold-Plated DP Display Port to HDMI Adapter (Male to Female) Compatible for Lenovo Dell HP and Other Brand https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017Q8ZVWK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_29F8J1AB9X3QW5XW5MX9
Does the gpu have a display port two because if so just run and adapter from that to HDMI my gpu is like that I have 3 adapters and never had a problem something like the link I put adapter
Here is a link to the cables. I bought both the 8 and 24pin cables. Note - if connecting to a Corsair controller (e.g the Commander Pro), you will need to buy a Piratedog or some other adapter to connect the Lian Li controller to the Corsair controller. This will allow you to control the cables through ICue and sync with the rest of your build.
LIAN LI PW8-V2 RGB Strimmer Plus 8 Pin White https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B085DR8STN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_F61S0F3XY1BKEYAMEWDR
You should be all set. The cables standard power cables will come with the PSU and the front panel cables will come with the case. There are Lian Li RGB cables that I’ll link that you can purchase (I wouldn’t trust any other brand in all honesty besides them or the XPG RGB cables) for your 8 pin PCIE cable for GPU and 24 pin motherboard cable.

IIRC one of the Strimer+ GPU connectors is an 6+2 pin connector, so you should be able to connect it while leaving the extra 2pin off. I don't think they make a dedicated 14pin.
