Hijacking top reply to put a link to a product for people like me who need something like this and wanted to see how much they would be. Looks like around 5 a bottle on amazon. link to a product for the lazy
I got one similar years ago (before adhd dx) and it makes daily pill management ridiculously easy - I just fill it once a week with all my meds (i take a ton of shit for other conditions so your needs may vary) and the see-through containers make it easy to see at a glance if I remembered to take my meds for that time of day! I hope this helps y’all as much as it has for me!
It was called the Didit Medicine Reminder. It might be hard to find though, so you could also try finding something similar like the link I've pasted here if you can't find one. https://www.amazon.com/Day-Weekly-Pill-Organizer-Take-n-Slide/dp/B078ZLCRFS/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=didit+medicine+reminder&qid=1620143578&sr=8-4
Stop worrying and buy these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HJD7RGQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_T.XfCbPPKFVH0
I have a couple, and haven't had this problem since!!
Sure thing! Here is the one I bought. Simple and holds 90 days of my pills. Only downside is it doesn’t fit the original bottle I get so I have to dump them which means I need to keep them at home; I’m always paranoid about being stopped and asked about my pills and never go out without a bottle with a prescription on it.
Okay but for real, check these out: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HJD7RGQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_976Q9X9C5PSAP8YQ6MM5
They're timer pill bottles that tell you how long it's been since you've opened the bottle! I saw it on Hank Green's TikTok and immediately bought them. I've always been the worst about trying to remember whether I've taken my heartburn/depression/ADHD meds (with sometimes disastrous consequences) and these have been a game-changer.
I have a timer cap for my prescription bottle. Each time you take the lid off the bottle the timer resets so you know the last time you opened it. No more mystery. Doesn't help if I accidentally leave the house without taking my meds, but at least I don't take 2 by mistake.
I have this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HJD7RGQ . One problem: The lid does not fit on the prescription bottle my pills come in. Solution: I transfer my pills to the bottle that came with the cap and carefully peel off the prescription label and stick it on the timer bottle (so I know when to call my doc for a refill and for legal reasons).
Another solution: timer caps for pill bottles that show how long its been since you past opened the bottle.
FUCKING LIFESAVER
I will reccomend these things till the day I die, get em for cheap on amazon

Somebody on this subreddit mentioned a cap timer once and I swear it’s the best thing I’ve ever bought because I no longer have to play the “did I take my meds?” game. (Note: I still walk out the door at least once a week and realize I haven’t taken them. But I no longer have the double take anxiety!)

They make timer caps. It fits on your regular pill bottle and has an hour:minute count that tells you how long it's been since the bottle was last opened. Not helpful if you sometimes fidget with your bottle, but definitely helpful if you don't.

Your local drug store should have some, too. (Though they may charge more.)
And if you're like me, woke up not all there, fed the cats and went back to sleep...woke up not sure if you did, in fact, take your fucking meds - this might be for you.

I just wanted to add this onto this post! I have to take one of my medications 3 times a day, and these pill bottles have been game changers. I saw a couple people on here talking about not being sure how many hours have passed between doses, so these would be great to have! They take a while to come in, but they’re cheap and work great! Timer Caps
I've mentioned it to others - they make timer caps that might help. You fit them onto your regular prescription bottle and it tells you how long it's been since it was last opened. Might help if you get one for morning meds and one for evening meds because if you remember to take one, chances are you'll remember to take all.

Since I follow TSM (the Sinclaire method), though I was prescribed daily, I take it only before I know I'm going to drink (ideally an hour or two before, otherwise as soon as possible after). That's how I understand it is best effective. It doesn't decrease alcohol cravings by itself. It dulls the dopamine reward system when you take it in combination with drinking. Then that slowly (can takes months) but very effectively rewires your brain away from the addiction. It took years to get you here, it'll take time to get you back too. I had an alcohol-diary app for the first 6 months, and I noticed no change in alcohol consumed for approx 2 months, THEN it started to gradually decrease, along with my cravings.
Nal only lasts in your system a few hours so in my opinion it's fairly pointless to take it in the morning (for example) if you're going to be lashing into the cans in the evening. I don't take it regularly anymore since I don't drink daily anymore (thanks to nal). But I would always have them on me (I've a little pill holder on my keys with 2 or 3 in it), ready to take if I'm suddenly dragged for Friday afternoon beers or something.
It's not an alcohol specific drug. If you took it before your morning coffee and doing a bunch of coding, as I understand it you might begin slowly to find those activities less rewarding, hence the reason TSM has you target your dose. For me the coffee might be OK but I need to get my dopamine hit from work/coding, I gotta earn a living after-all.
Anyway I'm no biochemist or anything (just an engineer who's done some reading) so what I'm about to say isn't gospel: I do not think daily untargeted dosing is the optimum way to take this drug. They're not antibiotics and shouldn't be taken as such. If you happen to drink daily, and take it before you drink then it will have some effect, but you can get much more bang for your buck with TSM.
yesssss
i've been using this one and it's been amazing at keeping me on track with my medications. I would have opted for the one you posted, but I have anxiety meds that I have to take 3x a day.
honestly, they are great. recommend to anyone who has issues with forgetting or doubling their medications.

I put stickers on mine! And I drop stuff all the time and this one is durable and the pill holders don’t pop open if you do drop it!
I keep a keychain pill holder on my key ring with a couple adderall and xanax which I'm prescribed so if I need to take one when I'm out I'll have it with me. Accidentally lost it a few weeks ago at a family event with all adults and now some family members are accusing me of popping pills at family events and even the ones who don't think it's a big deal are telling me it's a bad idea to keep that on my key ring. Am I nuts for thinking that keeping 3 or 4 pills that I'm prescribed on me so I can take them the way they're prescribed isn't a big deal at all?
Alternatively something like this would help without having to remember to click the buttons or worry about accidentally clicking buttons and not noticing.

Yeah same. I got one like this years ago, before I even considered adhd and it’s been amazing - I fill it up once a week and that’s it. The multicolored ones are great too because I’ll sometimes need different dosages on diff days and I associated certain colors with certain days of the week (I take a ton of other shit too besides adderall though so others may need a smaller one or may not need the visual aspect of different colors)
I bought this one and LOVE it. I love being able to take out one day at a time so I’m only carrying around the pills I need. Super convenient. Not cute, but works great and holds all my meds and vitamins.

You’ll be fine. Maybe ask your doctor about having some beta blockers on hand to prevent panic like this. Otherwise invest in some pill timer bottles like this

Hey there, I don't usually link to Amazon if I can help it but have you/your partner tried or thought about something like this which may be able to help avoid that dilemma? 🙂
