It might seem like a little much, but I actually bought a laser site for mine:

It's freaking awesome though. It took some finagling to get it sighted correctly, but once I did it took my fly killing to a whole new level. Flies are bad in my backyard during the summer, so every day after work I go out there and shoot them down for probably 10-15 minutes. It's cathartic!
I haven't gone camping yet this year, but I can smell the picture.
I recommend one of these, picked one up years ago for camping.

I don't have any experience with these -- but you can get a much better price on Amazon and also read from various reviews and questions.
It's not treatment per-say, but my bother had an infestation and This thing helped a ton as a passive treatment. He put it out and within an hour he was getting quite a bit in the trap.
I think it’s a mosquito coil holderexample
But look into it, the regular pellet pistol is a lot cheaper and compatible with the salt pellets.
Please be kind to yourself. You did the best you could with what you had. You didn't mean for any of this to happen. It was an accident. I know your heart hurts and it's little comfort but sometimes things happen that we just don't anticipate. Please consider taking Piper to the vet to get her toes looked it. You can also get a humane rat trap on Amazon that will help you catch the wild rat and relocate him far from your home. they're are several, but here's one.
This seems Déjà vu from the 80s We used
Mosquito Citronella Coils- Outdoor Use- Each Coil Could Last for 5-7hours - 1 Pack Contains 8 coils & 1 Coil Stand https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08V5KYYSK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_8G2B9C2M3J9XEMBE9JK1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
That looks like flea bites.... they generally attack the ankle area. Irritating ....
This light worked for me...it also helped identify EXACTLY what was biting me.
Be prepared though, because this light catches spiders and all kinds of funky looking bugs.
But my flea problem got better after getting these. They gravitated towards the light and away from me. I also had an allergic reaction that made my vision super magnified. Made me a little uneasy because the light showed me more than i wanted to know . Some of the bugs it trapped looked straight alien....
But this will definitely help you identify what is attacking you. I sealed up my windows with plastic and havent had a problem. They also sell these lights at home depot.

a trick i do to make these even more effective, google diy co2
it's how planted aquarium keepers feed their tanks with a bottle
yeast sugar and tubing. set that up, and feed the tube under
the dome of that sticky trap. let it all run when nobody is home
this way your own presence does not compete with it.

At least you can rest assured that the fleas won't be infesting/breeding on your dog.
I've heard some good things about this: https://www.amazon.com/Aspectek-Odorless-Non-poisonous-Children-Friendly/dp/B00IZ11V5E
This thing works great as well. They're attracted to the warmth of the light and get stuck in the trap. My brother has a few he's using currently for a small flea infestation and he says it's working great. It's a cheap add-on to the other methods listed by the other folks.
