My plants are in the ground and I used 6 and 12-inch hoop garden stakes. I use these bait stations, so far no activity but our area is prone to termites and the bait stations make me feel better that I'd get a warning.
Probably, but I ordered from Amazon.
I got 4 foot stakes, and now wish I had gotten 5 or 6 feet long.

You can probably use a bamboo stake and gently secure it. I don’t have a fig but I do that with my monstera to help keep it upright. Also I got a 15-pack from my local garden store for like $3.99 so that’s a rip off price wise.
There are lots of types/sizes of moss poles. I generally start my tiny philodendrons on chopsticks with a little rope/hemp/something textured wound around them.
These were also good for starter support https://www.amazon.com/SuperMoss-22050-Moss-Stakes-Preserved/dp/B004HLTUOK/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=PBENZXFZCZWM&keywords=moss+stake+orchid&qid=1663731465&sprefix=moss+stake+orchid%2Caps%2C132&sr=8-3
Not the most common enemy, but I’ve had termites destroy plants before!! They’ll chew through the stem right at soil level leaving your plant looking like a sharpened pencil. For me, I think they came from my old wooden garage or a delivery of mulch I got that year. I use these stakes around my plants now to be safe and I haven’t had a problem in a couple years: https://www.amazon.com/Spectracide-Terminate-Termite-Detection-Killing/dp/B00AA8WVLI Good luck!
I’m sure you could. I make enough of a mess with my plants as it is. I buy these things off Amazon

Thank you! The mods pole came from Amazon (Canada) Super Moss 22050 Moss Covered Stakes, Green, 18-Inch Height https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B004HLTUOK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_SRYE604QANXQXFFYK29D?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I felt that the big wide brown moss pole would be overkill for such a small delicate looking ‘baby’ monstera
Do you know if galvanized spikes are better than galvanized pins (square U-shaped pins)? Amazon link to Pins Pins like these that are thinner than spikes.
The original survey most likely references survey markers on the main corners. See of you can find some of those and you're pretty much guaranteed it will be accurate.

Thanks! That's a good idea! Oh boy winter in Ontario 🥶 I hope your plants stay nice and warm!
I just bought these moss stakes on Amazon. They're super easy to break to the size you need 🙂

Searching Amazon, I am pretty sure they meant $30. I found this, hopefully I'm wrong and OP can show us where to find $3 bamboo
Bought these for my fence and had a few left over and took them camping this past weekend. We had some torrential rain recently and none of my normal stakes were holding. These did the trick.

I used these bamboo garden stakes. Found them at my local hardware store for $5. I wrapped three of them together to make the blade. Also, I forgot in the title that I used a dollar store mini pie plate as the cup. A stack of 10 for a dollar.
