Which is better, this speaker or this one? I came across the latter when browsing for the Jambox on Amazon, and they are very similar in price
While I recommend both the Anker Soundcore Bluetooth Speaker as well as the Amazon Basics Bluetooth Speaker for their portability and sound, I personally prefer the former for its much fuller sound. (Both links show the black version of the device, although both come in different colors).
I use this Anker speaker…long 24H play time…it stays in the shower. I don’t need to charge it for weeks! I also use one in the car, since it sounds better than the factory speakers in my 2007 Toyota RAV4 :-)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016XTADG2/
Only thing it doesn’t have is skip forward or backward, but I only spend 15 mins or less in the shower so this isn’t a problem for me :-)
We've got a very similar setup to what you're describing for music on our patio. I power a Chromecast audio off one of those big travel battery packs, and use an Anker self-powered portable speaker with an aux port with the Chromecast physically plugged into it. It's been working great for us for 3 years now!
Is that the Oontz Angle 3? If so, it's $26 on Amazon and buying a new one is almost certainly your cheapest and fastest option to getting this fixed.
Connect with a community. A big one for me is Reddit because it’s the best Pelo community (duh), but plan rides with friends, follow people with hilarious usernames, follow people who have similar output, join live rides. Immersing yourself will naturally help you push harder.
I have this $20 speaker I bought a few years ago and it balances perfectly on my bike and has great sound output and I don’t have to worry about future hearing loss with headphones
Decide whether or not you’re going to work out after you work out. This sounds silly, but rhere has only been 1 time where I regretted working out, and that was because I had a cold brewing. I nearly never regret a workout. That being said, listen to your body!
I've been using the Anker Soundcore 2 for a year now and I love it. Great sound quality, loud, waterproof, amazing battery life.. Really no complaints at all. for $40 you can't go wrong. When I'm on my sup I secure it to the top of my cooler with a bungee cord. I use it to listen to music around the house and at the beach as well.
YTA it’s their house they can talk in their bathroom however loud at whatever time they want. It would be nice if they were more considerate, I sure would be, but you would be an AH if you told them to be quiet in their own house when they are doing a favor letting you live there. You get to sleep on your own terms when you have your own place.
In the meantime, get this it will change your life
It's a few years old now but the Anker SoundCore 2 works really well for this - it has a flap covering the ports, make sure that's closed all the way. Battery lasts like a week or more if you're just using it during like showers, only downside is it chargers over USB-Micro
Define "best"
First ones I'd reccomend looking at are the $100 Soundcore Motion+and $100 Soundcore Trance Go But it really depends how you are planning on using it, and what your tastes are.
If you paid $50 you're SOL
If you paid the Full $100 (which I hope you didn't) check out the Soundcore Motion+
Hey, what's you budget, and how do you plan on using it?
I was pretty happy with the charge 3, but the bass was pretty thin. I would only reccomend the Flip if you need something super compact.
To start with, check out the $100 Soundcore motion+ which has a great sound signature all around, but you lose bass at higher volumes. Also take a look at the $95 Soundcore Motion Boom which has good bass at higher volumes, but gives up clarity and definition for the rest of the range.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016XTADG2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_DD0M8QTCBAV6KXBVJGYR
There is a $6 coupon rn is using the app. So would be 21$
There is a v2 for 35$ also

I’ve been using this for the past 6 months and it does a pretty good job. Adjustable EQ, and if your buddy gets one you can pair them for better surround sound!

Female sailor here, I found this bluetooth sleepmask to be a fucking lifesaver on all kinds of deployments.
Anything to do with audio and entertainment e.g. noise-canceling headphones, a small portable bluetooth speaker, hard drive loaded up with shows and movies and music (or pdfs of books if that's her jam). A reading light that clips/attaches to the bunk. High quality polarized sunglasses. A fuzzy blanket (seriously, just feels like home to have a blanket that someone you love gave to you). 6 tubes of her favorite lip balm.
idk if everyone here is joking about the sex toys, but she probably has her own that she chose and prefers (and I'm sure you already know that). Plus my married best friend who is also currently deployed told me it kind of stressed her out to get sexual gifts from the husband right before going out to sea - just seemed to emphasize that he was thinking/paranoid about 1) not having sex with her and 2) her being horny around other sailors. It's really not a chill gift imo
Dude, this is the one to get. It sounds like a $100 Bluetooth speaker but it's only $27.99 on Amazon right now! It's their #1 seller. I currently have it plugged into the wall and into my Amazon Echo Dot. It never shuts off. The damn thing is incredible. Trust me, you won't regret it. OontZ Angle 3
There are lots of water-resistant Bluetooth speakers available on Amazon, but most of them don't have an AUX input.
Here's one that does: https://www.amazon.com/Enhanced-Splashproof-Portable-Bluetooth-Radiator/dp/B010OYASRG
I think you will probably find that most/all of the speakers have a battery, but that shouldn't prevent you from leaving it plugged in.
Take a look at the $100 Soundcore Motion+ and maybe the $160 UE Megablast
The go-to cheapo Is the Soundcore Motion+ but getting a bluetooth speaker (of any price) is all about compromises, so you gotta figure out how you want to use it.
Between those 3 I'd choose the Motion booms. The W kings are nice and bassy, but almost sound like sandpaper in the treble, the flare is alright, but doesn't compare well to the motion boom.
That said, I'd also suggest look at the Soundcore Motion + Much better clarity than the boom, get louder and can be used with an Aux input if you ever need to. Battery doesn't last as long, but not a huge difference. Lose a Little bass at high volume.
24 hours. Check it out. You must be thinking Motion+, which is 12 hours.
For something you can fit easily in a backpack, take a look at the $100 Soundcore Motion+, for how compact it is it sounds great and get impressively loud; irrespective of price, you're not likely to find better for this size.
Haha, no no, I also got a well-reviewed little bluetooth speaker: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010OYASRG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (no I don't work for them, but I figure people that appreciate well-made things appreciate other well-made things)
Damn man you really are an audiophile.
Try this? It has aux in and seems in budget https://www.amazon.in/Cambridge-SoundWorks-Waterproof-Bluetooth-Speakers/dp/B010OYASRG/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=oontz+angle+3&qid=1619866406&sprefix=oontz+angle&sr=8-1
Reviews seem good and here's a video review of it too: https://youtu.be/KPTKxNwpIhk
https://www.amazon.com/Enhanced-Splashproof-Portable-Bluetooth-Radiator/dp/B010OYASRG
This is only one I can vouch for. But it all depends how loud u want it too. Only thing I might suggest is to try to get one with USB c charging. Expecially if u all ready use USB c. It's just so much better.
When I was having issues waking up to dexcom alarms I solved it by mounting an old iPad to the wall that constantly displays CGM data via my Nightscout app (Dexcom follow crashes too much, so nightscout is needed). It also has dexcom follow on it with alerts enabled. I then placed a Bluetooth speaker nearby with the volume cranked to 11. The iPad on the wall is great because it is always displaying blood sugar info and the Bluetooth speaker can wake the entire house if needed. Normally Bluetooth speakers disconnect if no sound is sent to them for a while, but they always stay on if you leave the charging cable in it. At least mine does anyway.
Edit: this is the speaker I use ($25):
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010OYASRG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Ok man now I "feel" like I've got a certain sense of what you're after. I'm not sure it exists. but based on EDM, Pop, Rock really I think it's time to try the non-high end choice.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07P39MLKH?pf_rd_r=J379D10DE8EC5XBSSK15
Have you given it a try yet? You should. It really isn't high end per se, but does sound good. It can be custom eq-d reasonably flat, and has a natural airyness than the Marshall Stanmore II. It isn't omnidirectional, but because of the tweet facing, it isn't super directional either. I think the biggest flaw is ... it's a smaller speaker so it won't produce the lower bass tones as the marshall. but with EDM, Pop, and Rock that maybe ok. Amazon also has a very good return policy.
I mean what's the harm, you just have to test that return policy. And if you've already tried her... well we will keep looking.
Yes, BUT it will deteriorate the lifespan of the battery over time. This popular science article explains in more detail.
Regardless, I am doing this now as a temporary solution, understanding the risks. However I plan on eventually switching to always plugged in speaker. If Anker had a switch (or even option in app) that allowed it to be powered solely by USB, (disabling charging) I think that would be great, but TBH I think the 5V 2A or 10W max charging speed is not enough to power the speaker at higher volumes, especially with bass boost. Though I could be wrong.
From an Anker Amazon Answer: Please note you can use this speaker while charging it, but we don't suggest you use this speaker like this way as it will deteriorate the battery lifespan of your speaker.
Anker Soundcore motion+ for about 70 € ?
I thought you would shop at amzon spain? and then have them ship to portugal?
https://www.amazon.es/Soundcore-resoluci%C3%B3n-inal%C3%A1mbrico-reproducci%C3%B3n-Impermeable/dp/B07P39MLKH/ref=sr_1_1
In their shipping rates they even specifically mention portugal and the rates seem very reasonable.
How in the world could you sleep with these on?
I like silicone ear plugs or a combo eye mask/headphones set that connects to my phone via Bluetooth.
I've had these Anker speakers from Amazon for some time. They're half the price of the small Bose speakers and every bit as good. https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Bluetooth-Subwoofers-Portable-Wireless/dp/B0107WH8Q4/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1482940663&sr=1-2&keywords=anker+bluetooth+speakers
Bought this one on Amazon and I'm really impressed with it - we use it all the time for music plus we stream music and tv from our apple TV to it: https://www.amazon.ca/Anker-Bluetooth-Subwoofers-Portable-Wireless/dp/B0107WH8Q4/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1520696586&sr=8-5&keywords=anker+bluetooth+speaker
This is either my first Reddit post or my first in a very long time, so I hope I'm doing it right.
I use a white noise app on my phone called "white noise generator" (though I'm sure there are others). I'll eventually zero-in on the nuances of an actual fan, especially on what I call my "hot days", during which my misophonia is especially bad. The ticking, the cold sound of the machinery, even the very slight pattern of the whir will eventually stand out and drive me up the wall. So a synthetic, digital approximation seems to be my fix. With the app, you can turn on brown or white noise, add wind and other sounds in layers, and then control the specific volume for each sound, mixing your own, custom white noise. It also has a sleep timer, which works dependably.
For the same price of a decent fan, you can buy a bluetooth speaker on Amazon. I use this handsome jasper. It works much better, in my opinion, than traditional white noise machines, but here's a trick: face it to the wall, ideally at something to further dampen the noise, such as a square of corkboard (which is what I use), and on the other side of the room (but conveniently controlled by your within-reach phone). This will "widen" the sound and give you more of the spherical, room-filling noise you need. I totally understand what you mean about filling the room, and for me, this worked quite well.
Good luck.
Anker Soundcore Motion+ is the best choice. $85 on Amazon right now. Better than JBL and sony. This is the hottest speaker out now. All reviews are great and all comparisons to the JBL and Sony go heavily in the Motion+ favor.
I don't think you're going to find what you're looking for on this sub. Its primarily directed towards high quality sound, so you'll mostly get recommendations like what /u/polypeptide147 suggested.
It seems to me like you're more worried about space and ease of use than real quality sound, in which case you're best off just searching Amazon for something with good reviews that seems to fit the ticket. Maybe try to find something at the upper end of your budget if you're hoping for a better quality sound, but it probably wont make too much difference at that size.
If you're able to stretch your budget a bit and want something that will truly be much better than your old system this might work for you: Edifier 350DB Its bigger for sure, but it has wireless capability so it wouldn't need to sit on your desk.
The simplest setup for what you ask is: active amplifiers with Bluetooth and subwoofer output (and a subwoofer, of course). Something like this.
That's not a good price range for a good 2.1 setup. We're not going to recommend anything from Logitech, unfortunately. They don't even fit in the bottom of the audiophile barrel.
The Edifier S350DB is occasionally recommended here.

In that case, I'd say what mrdoom suggested. The Soundcore Motion Plus
I use these Anker speakers, they have pretty good bass, reasonable small footprint, are weatherproof, and have good battery life: https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B016XTADG2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You can heare them in use here, the first dead men tell no tales is out on the front fence and faces away to the street, the second is the talking skeleton (in the rib cage) and third is the singing pumpkins: https://old.reddit.com/r/HalloweenProps/comments/yj3ygb/aussie_halloween/
As some people suggested, report to the RA. In theory, they should intervene.
But a more serious note, a bluetooth eye mask works wonders in combination of using a multi-hour white noise .mp3

^This product was a lifesaver for me when I was living with my roommate who liked to stay up until 4 or 5 in the morning. I listened to white noise or ASMR. I would also recommend a talk with your roommate. Maybe they can try to noise proof their room with a blanket under the door or foam.
Apparently, sometimes only once. I burst in to my sons room with two of these Soundcore speakers that were linked together, playing this song at max volume and he seemed pretty annoyed.

Is this the soundcore motion you mean?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Soundcore-Bluetooth-Extended-Customizable-Waterproof/dp/B07P39MLKH?th=1

Or do you mean the anker one?
I had one and yeah it's good because of the batteries but the sound just isn't that great.
I ended up also getting this.
It's on my job site all the time. It's damn good sound and we best the hell out of it.
It's a divoom ditto! It counts as my speaker and you can customize the screen to display whatever 8-bit art you want.
Have you considered bluetooth speakers made by Anker? The battery lasts ages, the build and sound quality are great as well.
If you want to use a soundbar, then I can recommend the Creative Stage 2.1. It's honestly the best option if all you can buy are soundbars.
Yes, it's a good little speaker, with surprisingly nice sound for its size. I use one as a laptop speaker and it's way better than the built-in audio -- not that that's saying much! It doesn't go lower than this price.
Soundcore Motion Boom, really easy to pair and TWS
These bluetooth sleepmask headphones are kinna amazing for city living.
The Bluetooth speaker needs not have an inactive timeout. I use this model: https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Speakers-Bluetooth-Wireless-Portable-Shower-Speaker/dp/B010OYASRG
If the speaker is always available, the action is Change playback destination.
You said it would be on or around a pool deck. You also said it doesn't need to be audiophile quality.
Honestly, I would just forget about all this and prioritize waterproofing. As in just get a larger waterproof bluetooth speaker for the poolside and call it a day:
I really recommend you anker soundcore motion plus, if it s on sale it s 85 dollars (rn is 106), i own one, compared to friend's charge 4 and it won by far, it has 2 twitters 2 mids and 2 radiators, imo is really worth it, small too, same size at charge 4: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Soundcore-Bluetooth-Customizable-Waterproof/dp/B07P39MLKH
I bought this speaker last year. It's got a great sound, battery lasts forever, pretty light and easy to transport.
It doesn't include a microphone if that's what you're hoping for but you may be able to get a microphone.

My dad has this it’s really nice I was impressed for the price. looks like a 3 buck off coupon rn too.
This is a function of the speakers, not the iPad. Several Bluetooth speakers allow this. I know that the Soundcore Motion+ speaker allows stereo pairing.

That kind of product is Over Saturated, some people would have seen it before. I actually thought about selling it

>Something about how the room interacted with the speakers as well as a boost of bass from the receiver
Funny you should mention room interactions.
In my previous townhome rental I had a squirrel problem, they'd come in around a gap in the outside of my chimney. Landlord suggested loud music to scare them away. I had an Anker Soundcore Motion+ handy. My wife stuck it in the fireplace on top of the andiron and I closed up the fireplace with a foamcore sheet in the front. It somehow made that little speaker sound amazing. I think it was due to the metal chimney framing and maybe the flue was acting like a bass port, and maybe the foamcore dampened any reverberation. It developed a wider range and deeper bass, with still great clarity. Somehow closed in there it became an outstanding speaker, and if I took off the foamcore front, it lost the effect.
We ended up using that pretty regularly even after the squirrel left. 🤣

Those pretty much eliminate soundbars.

it's this? https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Soundcore-Bluetooth-Customizable-Waterproof/dp/B07P39MLKH
and you're saying this is better than a $200 to $250 wireless speaker?
The only customs charge on a small purchase (where the item is sold directly by amazon, or fulfilled by amazon where the seller is registered for VAT in the UK) is VAT. This is taken at the point of sale by Amazon, as Amazon UK sales exceed the threshold set by Revenue so they are registered to pay VAT to the state. That is how it has always been.
Take this Bluetooth speaker. Fulfilled by Amazon for a UK company.

I hate to recommend a 2.1 (stereo plus a small bass satellite under the desk) system since they usually have worse sound quality than a comparably priced 2.0 (larger stereo speakers) but with your budget there are some decent choices.
The following is $50 over your budget but far better than anything even close to this price. Your Sennheiser are giving you good quality audio and there is really no other 2.1 system near your budget that will give your comparable sound quality.

Hmm so my reccomendation is the $100 Soundcore Motion+ but it actually cuts out at like 15khz, but the treble up to that is near perfect.
