Got it. Yeah - that just sucks from every single angle. Is there anyway you could get a smaller fridge for your vegan stuff and attach a lock to it? My husband lived in a boarding house for a short while and one of the guys had something like this. The owner flat out had a lock on a cabinet to keep his dry food safe.
That sounds extreme, but your food isn’t cheap, and it’s not like you can just grab any crap laying around.
Anyway, good luck hopefully finding a solution. Bugs in Florida heat are about the worst thing in the world!
Or the hard egg containers used for camping? Such a fake dilemma anyway, but the answer to this fictional problem is these things: https://www.amazon.ca/Coghlans-511A-Egg-Carriers-Holds/dp/B000LC84PK?th=1&psc=1
Always backcountry. Canoe/portaging and hiking. I just use one of those plastic carrier thingies. They have little prongs inside to cushion the eggs from the numerous impacts. I've only ever broken a single egg on 5-6 trips. I put this inside a freezer bag to contain any possible messes.

I do remember a "smart" egg holder....

Aha:

Used to be like $50 if I remember.
Edit:
Reading the reviews, what a train wreck. "Premium subscription is REQUIRED to use this product" -- you pay $5 per month for it....
Unfortunately I’m not too familiar with them, but looks like amazon has a fairly cheap one that works for all sizes: https://www.amazon.com/Refrigerator-Door-Lock-Padlock-White/dp/B00722OIJI
Yeah it seems like she’s crazy wasteful, I’d suggest getting ready for a confrontation (before installing the fridge lock if you’re up to it, otherwise she’s likely to bring it up afterwards). She sounds like a huge mooch
I’d try replacing the starter relay and capacitor first. Regardless of it working, it’s a $12 part and worth keeping on hand for future fridges too.

We had something like that for awhile. I had it set up to post to Facebook when we were low on eggs. It also texted my husband. We stopped using it because it ate batteries and stopped being funny after awhile.
Oh, and NAH.
This is something Jazz never really brings up, but if you read through r/narcolepsy or the Facebook support groups you'll see a TON of people with this problem.
> Like they're literally preventing me from giving into the Xywav drowsiness sometimes
It sounds like you might be waiting for Xywav to kick in before you go to sleep? I've found it really, really important to only take Xywav once I'm already in bed AND almost asleep. (I set an alarm for 30 minutes into the future in case I actually fall asleep before I can take it.)
If that doesn't help, try eating a small, fat-free snack before taking the Xywav. Yes, that might make the Xywav somewhat less effective, but that's a lot better than staying awake to eat afterwards and negating the whole dose. If this works for you, then gradually make the snack smaller and/or have it earlier in the evening until you find the right balance.
Also, if your living situation allows for it, look into refrigerator and pantry locks. If you live alone, consider locking up all of your food 2 hours before you take Xywav, and put the keys in a time delay safe that you can only open the next morning.
TL;DR:
It took me a while to figure all of this out, but I've come to realize that my routine and choices in the 3-4 hours before taking Xywav are the most critical component of my entire narcolepsy treatment plan.
I'm no refrigeration specialist, but I suppose in theory you could control with a switch but you would need to turn it on and off multiple times a day until you eventually forget and either burn out the compressor or spoil your food.
There are other solutions. Not every fridge or freezer is affected the same, and not every garage gets as cold. Location against an interior wall might be a bit warmer. Some manufacturers have garage models designed to work in the cold. You can also buy a garage kit for some fridges. I've also read a DIY fix of putting a 100 watt light bulb behind the fridge may provide enough warmth to keep a fridge running. My solution is to just not use the freezer side of the garage fridge during the winter, and the fridge keeps my beer cold.
This is an EcoPure filter and it says it’s a 1/4in connection. But a 1/4in coupler is too big. The home depot employee was not helpful at all.
Could always bring our own egg carrier along with our reusable bags :)
You can since you have 1/2 inch of insulation but should you? No. Try this non-destructive method.

My smart egg tray with wifi connectivity IS NOT unnecessary. It sends reminders to my phone when I need eggs. I don't know how I ever lived without it.
If you have an empty cupboard / closet you could use something like this with that lock. https://www.amazon.com/Computer-Security-Products-Refrigerator-Padlock/dp/B00722PHSO/ref=sr\_1\_3?dchild=1&keywords=fridge+lock+padlock&qid=1634252590&sr=8-3
Best option is to double-filter the water, which is not as hard as it sounds. If you have a somewhat decent fridge with a built in water filter, those filters usually cost ~$50, have a ~85% filtration rate of chlorine/chemical taste and typically last ~6 months (if you read the fine print, they usually say they last 300 - 500 gallons). The trick is to add an in-line fridge/icemaker water filter like this:

That filter is rated to last 5 years, but if you read the fine print it is actually 7500 gallons - that's the equivalent of 15 fridge filters for only $30 (you will need an additional 1/4" icemaker line to hook it up).
So using the external filter + fridge filter, both at 85%+ filtration, your pass-through to the cup is ~13% or less. Unless there is other fine-micron particulates or chemicals in the water altering the taste, double-filtering should give you a VERY high quality water. Not quite reverse-osmosis purified (bottle-quality) but very close and at a fraction of the cost.
I can't help with the sleep walking, but I just bought some of these for my fridge & pantry:
Refrigerator Door Lock with Padlock
Hoping it works, because when I wake up in the middle of the night on Xyrem I cant help myself from binging.
I had the same issue with my Samsung about six years ago. I did these two things and have not had problems since.
Hope this helps!
In the US, Amazon sells adhesive-based locks like this one:
Computer Security Products Refrigerator Door Lock With Padlock, Black Adhesive-based lock
Pardon the double links, if any.
You're looking for a garage kit for a fridge. Depending on your brand and model it will vary, but you're looking for something like this:
https://www.amazon.ca/Frigidaire-5303918301-Garage-Kit-Refrigerator/dp/B005B9EABU
If you can provide me your model number I could see if I can find the correct one (if available) for the unit.

I found one on Amazon that seems like it should work, are the Supco ones any good?
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008YDSH6E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Qd-YEb7NP3BE1
I also did notice that when plugged into the normal outlet for the refrigerator, which is a gfci, it trips for some reason. Would this have something to do with the relay or capacitor going bad? I wound up just running an extension cord to a non protected outlet, and is how I found out what I know. Thanks for the reply!
Search for Samsung Clip Drain Evaporator. Part number DA61-06796A.
I am on mobile so finding the best price is not easy, but heres one on Amazon for ~$7:
https://www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-DRAIN-EVAPORATOR-REFOEM-Original/dp/B008KFG9NO
EDIT: I also found a YouTube video that shows you where the problem is and how to install this clip:
Not sure about the plumbing, but if you have trouble with the freezer thawing, Google refrigerator garage kit . Lots of good information there.
You can buy a braided steel freezer lock on amazon that binds with a strong adhesive cement that locks with a padlock. I bought this one and use it on the freezer door in my lab, it's bonds very securely.
We replace a lot of Samsung thermisters, and we also install a lot of Samsung drain line clips (which help keep defrost drain clear - its an additional part that Samsung made after so many frozen drain lines)

Amazon lists one here, but $59 is a bit rich for my blood.
Well, my fridge doesn't send me emails, but my friend has one of these stupid things that lets him check how many eggs he has on his phone.
It looks like GE has taken care of the appliances:
I couldn't find a microwave though.
Don't forget an egg tray for the refrigerator either!
Backplates apparently help cool the card but it's more of an aesthetic choice. You can purchase backplates for EVGA cards separately like I did.
