That would be amazing!!!! But I recommend starting with Book 1, as it is a series. :)
Background: Epic fantasy with notes of romance, adventure, and rebellion. Takes place in a quasi-medieval, Greco-Roman inspired world where magic has recently begun appearing in small portions of the populace. No one really knows wtf to do with it yet, so the current "solution" is to lock up all the magic-users and guard them with warriors who have an unnatural immunity to magic.
The stories center on a mage named Kali, who's too curious for her own good, and a sentinel (warrior-guardian) named Stonewall, who's lost everyone he's ever loved and has only his faith and chosen name.

Thank you all for your feedback. There are some great story suggestions here to get started. Now my question is about the genre superhero fantasy--Does it always have to be superheroes and supervillains? What if the world has people with powers like superheroes and villains do, but they aren't used for good... or evil for that matter. Superhero doesn't feel like it makes sense, but I think that's the closest it fits. This book doesn't have superheroes per se, but the world is full of people that feel like superheroes called the Mighty, but there's so many of them that their powers don't mean anything, except they oppress people who don't have powers. Not sure if you're okay with self promotion, but I've got a trilogy (so far :P) of books that sound like what you're looking for! It's not lighthearted, but not grimdark; it's about good people trying to make the best of bad situations. There's magic (duh) and a strong romantic current that is pivotal to the narrative. My books also pass the Bechdel test with flying colors, ie: there are a lot of compelling female characters. (And some great dudes as well.)
Overall, my work is extremely character-driven and has a hopeful tone. :)
No matter what you wind up reading, I hope you find something new to love!
